I think it's a really cool design. Reminds me of an Ant Hill, which is appropriate for the Mars landscape. I'd like to see BIG domes later as well but this is a great way to fill out the initial settlement.

RADIATION is a HUGE problem for them and i cannot fathom why they would want to build these adobe stacks (and out of WHAT?... will they even be thick enough to absorb the radiation??)....

I think this is one of the best houses I’ve ever seen it’s beautiful. My hat of to the design team. I’d buy one on earth to live in its very low impact. Can you make it on a large potters wheel in sections then bind them together better for transport on our roads.
Would be dope if they got radiation proof glass but i doubt they have anything they can manufacture on mars. I think were easily 40-50 years away from actually starting a mission, so many more obstacles to overcome for the long term.

@@AngelArm1110 not realistic to carry the windows there that is too heavy a payload and they would only be able to carry enough windows for one unit for the first mission unless they get the funding for additional missions but it will be ridiculously expensive. Ideally all production would be automated after the first or second unit is made.

Very clever - Marsha + Terra featured - their form/design is directly derivative & a function of how they’ll be manufactured by 3D printers on Mars ... ie. remember back in school ceramic vases made with coils of clay? I think multi levels serves sense of hierarchy & separation of spaces/their uses/functions.
One critical aspect of a company like this becoming a success is making money beyond the funding of NASA. So being able to build these buildings on Earth commercially actually means another crucial advantage for AI SpaceFactory over their competition. Really excited to hear more about them in the future
Mars net would probably be pretty good, as it would be all new equipment and everyone would be living very close to the servers. Interplanetary net would have a hell of a latency, but with a local caching server and some smart pre fetching it would not be too bad for all non interactive stuff.
Technically radio waves move at the speed of light in a complete vacuum, so it should move near light speed in space. I barely know how this works but I’m assuming the internet wouldn’t be that bad as long as there’s a line of satellites stringing from earth to mars. To counteract the negative psychological effects of being in bunkers, domes etc on Mars, I assume we will have great benefit from VR, smart windows etc. that will give us a view with earth's nature. Green fields, blue sky, clouds, sunsets. I installed some self made fake windows down in my basement, and it drastically improved my mood when I'm working down there. Certain lights in particular are essential for our brain to make sure our inner clock is running correctly. VR will be a life safer for sure. Being able to feel like you're walking back on earth and do normal stuff whenever you like is such a gift.

Ideally all production would be automated after the first or second unit is made.

I very lucky to be able to see this project in person and get a close up look at the house, the show was really cool.

One critical aspect of a company like this becoming a success is making money beyond the funding of NASA. So being able to build these buildings on Earth commercially actually means another crucial advantage for AI SpaceFactory over their competition. Really excited to hear more about them in the future

Mars net would probably be pretty good, as it would be all new equipment and everyone would be living very close to the servers. Interplanetary net would have a hell of a latency, but with a local caching server and some smart pre fetching it would not be too bad for all non interactive stuff.

Technically radio waves move at the speed of light in a complete vacuum, so it should move near light speed in space. I barely know how this works but I’m assuming the internet wouldn’t be that bad as long as there’s a line of satellites stringing from earth to mars. It would be some expensive ass internet too.. edit: just did a little research and it turns out earth is 3.03 minutes from mars in light speed.. so there would be a slight delay lol

One of the things I feel makes a home, a "home," is ART. Marsha's walls are round, so can we design either round art, flat dividers, or hooks on the ceiling to hang flat art? Perhaps projectors for art? Some way to take our flat things with us? PLEASE please please! That is my input, from a homebody.

Well.. this already looks better than most houses ive ever seen...
To counteract the negative psychological effects of being in bunkers, domes etc on Mars, I assume we will have great benefit from VR, smart windows etc. that will give us a view with earth's nature. Green fields, blue sky, clouds, sunsets. I installed some self made fake windows down in my basement, and it drastically improved my mood when I'm working down there. Certain lights in particular are essential for our brain to make sure our inner clock is running correctly. VR will be a life safer for sure. Being able to feel like you're walking back on earth and do normal stuff whenever you like is such a gift.
I would do great on Mars, I love being isolated, I get more inspiration to create and grow
