I think it's a really cool design. Reminds me of an Ant Hill, which is appropriate for the Mars landscape. I'd like to see BIG domes later as well but this is a great way to fill out the initial settlement.

I think this is one of the best houses I’ve ever seen it’s beautiful. My hat of to the design team. I’d buy one on earth to live in its very low impact. Can you make it on a large potters wheel in sections then bind them together better for transport on our roads.
Put this in death valley and see how well it does. Awarding a design before putting into practical use is pure genius.

I think it will be dope to have four 'inkjets' (I don't know what it's called) attached to the 3d or 5d whatsoever printing construction, one is for outer layer (in which the component is dredged directly from the Mars' surface and mimick the Mars' topographical features), second is for basalt components reinforced polymer composites, third is for additional insulating composite materials, the fourth is for aesthetic lightweight design... Then create a co-housing scheme and laboratories... Omg! I hope I can witness the progress of their Mars exploration program and future events😊

Titanium is a really dumb material to use for building homes, 3d Printers have been made printing biodegradable Hemp which is superior as a building material.

One critical aspect of a company like this becoming a success is making money beyond the funding of NASA. So being able to build these buildings on Earth commercially actually means another crucial advantage for AI SpaceFactory over their competition. Really excited to hear more about them in the future

Very clever - Marsha + Terra featured - their form/design is directly derivative & a function of how they’ll be manufactured by 3D printers on Mars ... ie. remember back in school ceramic vases made with coils of clay? I think multi levels serves sense of hierarchy & separation of spaces/their uses/functions.

RADIATION is a HUGE problem for them and i cannot fathom why they would want to build these adobe stacks (and out of WHAT?... will they even be thick enough to absorb the radiation??)....

Would be dope if they got radiation proof glass but i doubt they have anything they can manufacture on mars. I think were easily 40-50 years away from actually starting a mission, so many more obstacles to overcome for the long term.

@@AngelArm1110 not realistic to carry the windows there that is too heavy a payload and they would only be able to carry enough windows for one unit for the first mission unless they get the funding for additional missions but it will be ridiculously expensive. Ideally all production would be automated after the first or second unit is made.

I know the international space station has a fused silica and borosilicate glass including a aluminum alloy shutter with Kevlar blankets. Welp hopefully they iron out the logistics in the near future.

I'm wondering why we do not construct round houses at all. They are so much more sustainable, stable (especially against tornados) and you can have the most beautiful and lightly panorama view in your loving room.
You have to 'wonder'? All the Plywood, Sheetrock, and flooring I see at Lumber Yards, and Home Depot, are all rectangular. Cutting for 'round' is absurdly wasteful and expensive. Got It!???

@@fizan6129 Not nearly as expensive as a normal house. Because of 3d-Printing it will actually be quite cheap, depending on the cost of the used material.
The main issue would be how it holds up in extreme winds and extreme winter.
