Great podcast, I agree with most of the opinions but I have a soft spot for Rivals 2. Some iconic elimination- Jordan and Marlon vs Ty and Leroy. I think if Johnny was in better shape the final would have been actually pretty close since Wes struggles in the heat. I love the grainy, sweaty filter. Everyone seemed super hot and humid all day running laps on the outside deck of the house. Idk I love that season
The Ruins is easily the most underrated season. It's constantly shit on for some reason and when I did a rewatch I was shocked by how entertained I was. The drama in the first couple episodes is all time stuff. This was peak roided out Wes lol
@JGR4LIFE20 that's when the show was good though lol they were all grown adults doing reality TV, I don't care about bullying. Rivals was great TV too even if you could argue it was "bullying." I don't have sympathy for grown adults who can't handle pranks and shit. That's what the show is missing now...how are you supposed to make a reality TV show in between challenges without crazy interactions between a bunch of people with no phones or entertainment living together? The entertainment can only be derived from pranks and messing with each other and talking shit. Why would anyone watch if there was no controversy or "bullying" or crazy drunken fights or hookups? That's half the point of the show
My most underrated season was War of the Worlds 2. Some people hate it but it's easily in my top 5 borderline top 3. Funny enough, my most overrated season is War of the Worlds 1.
I always called Vendettas the most underrated season ever. It had everything you want. Competition, drama, rivalries, funny moments, and iconic moments. I do agree with Rivals 2 being overrated. Outside of a couple of blowups and CT winning and a few people final seasons I really don’t remember anything about Rivals 2.
War of the Worlds 1 people 100% were asking for a hard final. For years people were saying the finals were watered down and not great after Rivals III. They may have over-corrected and made it too hard, but I remember thinking that they finally got a final right again after it.
Battle of the Seasons is wildly underrated just because people don't like the winners. But there are a _lot_ of unlikable Challenge winners, and San Diego deserved to win. BOTS 2 had great drama throughout, a great format, a good cast and some of the best eliminations in Challenge history.
Of the seasons I've seen, most overrated is Duel 1 (only four people making the final is a joke, and it has some of the worst elimination design in Challenge history) and most underrated is Battle of the Seasons 2 (great drama, great format, deserving if not likable winners, amazing elimination design)..

I agree with you guys on Exes 1 and Rivals 2 being overrated. Exes 1 was straight up boring IMO. The female eliminations on Rivals 2 were so weak and did not even get one physical match. Also, the fact that the cast just allowed CT/Wes, Emily/Paula and Johnny/Frank not see a single elimination shows that there weren't any big moves made.
Have you thought about debating the two fresh meat teams in a face off simular to the inferno? I think that'd be a cool discussion/fan fiction.

Exactly, vendettas and especially FR had very weak finals. Vendettas was extremely boring and final reckoning was just bad
While easy to watch, and probably saved the franchise, I think both Exes and Rivals seasons are just OKAY and the sequels are much better
