@chineduibeh9203 The human brain is amazing. Humans have lots of fantasy. As an atheist, I'd say you believing that u've witnessed higher power is part of it. I'm not making fun of it, just saying what is logical to me. It makes sense that there are many ppl who say that they feel God, because humans can imagine lots of stuff. They can change their feelings just by actively thinking things. Religion is based on feelings I'd say.
@chineduibeh9203 Evolution is my answer. We weren't build like a house or made like a trash can, instead we came to be naturally, like water and dirt. Ants weren't just there as ants from the start and our ancestors up to some point didn't have brains and bones either. We evolved together with the planet we live on today, and I feel that us all evolving together into the ecosystem we are today; animals - plants - the planet, is such a pretty image, compared to us being put together like Ikea furniture :D In my eyes, humans aren't a planned thing that was put together, instead they are something that didn't have to happen, but yet it did. Religious people might enjoy believing that they were specially created by a god, because they feel like an important and amazing being because of it, but not having been created by a god doesn't make us any less important. Since what one deems as important and amazing is subjective and entirely up to oneself. As an atheist, I'm happy not having been created by a being, and instead being here cause of evolution. I'm important to myself, have things important to me and have my own set of morals, believing in a god isn't useful for me and I don't require it to keep me or others around me happy. :)
I am not convinced any particular god is a reality, for I have never encountered any credible evidence suggesting such a reality. So,until I do encounter sufficient credible evidence that such a reality exists, I will continue to suspend any acknowledgment concerning the truth of _your_ claim that one does. In science, matter & time & space must happen at the same time for there to be even something called universe. "In the beginning (time), when God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter). If time is not a part of the 3 then WHEN are you going to put all the matter in? If the same happens for space then WHERE will you pute the stuff in? Same goes for matter, WHAT are you gonna put in in that space and time. John 1:1-3; 1:14 can help this.

I have serious doubts that anybody has ever been convinced by an argument for "God". These aren't what makes theists and keeps them confidently believing.
two questions keep me from being not only religious but also an atheist, one is: "Why did God create the universe?" and the other one is: "if God isn't real, then why this ancient holy book talks about 20th century discovery?"
But the last one..... Why disregard the BASES that we founded our societal morals upon. Sure it "evolves" over time doesn't change where it started. A lot of people don’t realize how badly they’re telling on themselves with the “you just want to sin” and “your morals come from religion”. The reason I don’t kill people isn’t because of the commandments or because it’s illegal. It’s mainly because the idea of doing that to someone is deeply harrowing and disturbing. Well, not all animals are involved in sexual reproduction and neither are all the plants. As the structural and functional complexity of the organisms rose, they developed better characteristics which benefitted them, one of them being sexual reproduction. Every person has different identity because they have different DNA and that's because all the 8billion people in this world don't have the same parents duh. The blood flow and the mechanism of breathing also isn't found in plants and lower animals. This is because higher animals are kept above plants and lower animals like Porifera, Colenterates, Ctenophora, Platyhelminthes and Ascihelminthes who didn't have such elaborate mechanisms for breathing. They didn't have blood or any circulating fluid in their body in the first place. The organisms soon learnt the benefits of having a circulating fluid and better respiration so they did evolve systems for it. What are you on? GANJA?

I respect everyone regardless of religion or non-religion. People mostly say that to guilt trip or scare you to be on their religion. Other times it’s promptly because their religion says that. So don’t assume every religious person is the same.

And you personally believe morals come from God. I mean if everyone had no morals, we’d kill overselves. Look at dictators, emperors, kings, any rulers who believed themselves to be above morals and ethics. They killed a bunch of people to stay in power didn’t they? That’s their moral. They need to keep themselves in power at the cost of people’s life. Why do they believe killing is right, while everyone else are does not? Because we have something called empathy. I’m sure a few of those rulers also had some, but were repressed on the alcohol of control and power. That empathy comes from a word called sonder. A unconscious realization that they have a rich and complex life. When you take any situation for granted, you cannot realize that. Can you forgot the bible and God and imagine yourself as a third party? A third party to not some discord or fight, but to life. Wolves are carnivores and have to kill to survive. And from killing, they maintain the delicate their ecosystem. If we condemned wolves and removed all of them, what would have? You can find out from learning about Yellowstone Park. And I’m sure you can realize how small of a matter murder really is. Anything really. Nothing really matters aside from what you as an individual care about, and most of what we care about were indoctrinated to us. The biggest proof to me that we don’t get our morals from the bible is how morality changes from society to society. Anyone in the USA would probably say eating pets such as dogs and cats is morally wrong. While in some parts of Asia, they see absolutely nothing wrong. Meat is still meat at the end of the day. And are they wrong? There’s also the case of vegans who deem eating any animal at all is morally wrong. God and the bible does not touch on these topics, so where did their spontaneous claim to morality arise from?

A Christian posts some wholesome, uplifting, heartwarming content about loving Jesus and some atheist comes in the comments acting all oppressed and saying it's a "fairy tale" and we're apparently "shoving religion down their throats" when in reality all they did was post a video aimed towards other Christians to remind them of Jesus' sacrifice and love for us.

The threat of hell means nothing if you don't believe in hell or even an afterlife. It's as scary as saying believe in big foot or big foot will kidbap you. I’m a Christian and nowhere does it state nor did Christ say to force people into believing. I just simply ask if they wanna get with Christ and if they deny I just go or I’ll simply ask again another time, and if they keep denying I’ll just stop annoying them (duh) until they decide for themselves to become a believer and come to me for advice and guidance. If any Christian is to force an unbeliever into believing, they are not a true Christian.

That's called being lukewarm. Real Christians show the Love of Jesus and what He did for us by preaching not forcing non believers to convert themselves. It's their CHOICE. Hear me out... when a "Christian" forces someone to accept their belief, it's like someone from the LGTV community forces me to do the same thing which I rightfully despise. As a Christian typing in a majority atheist comment section, I know there are a lot of bad hypocritical Christian’s out there that have hurt a lot of people, which may have turned them away from Christianity. I am not forcing you to believe in god, but just know that there are amazing Christians out there and even if you want to reject it, I’m here to say that god loves you and I love you, whoever is reading this. I’ll be praying that you start to open up, even if it’s not through a congregation or church, to just pray and get closer to god. Hellenistic pagan here, here's how I view religion: I will acknowledge the existence of all gods, whether it be God, Allah, Jesus, Zeus, Thor, Ra, etc. Whatever you believe in and put your faith into is completely okay and valid. Now, as far as it goes with the gods, I like to believe that because they all exist, they cannot all guide you. See, a god that you may not even know exists shouldn't be able to help your punish you. The only god(s) that should be able to guide you are the gods you put your faith into. If you choose not to believe in a god then that is completely and absolutely fine and you'll probably be reincarnated or something, I dont think anyone actually knows for sure. Anyways, to sum this up, in my eyes, if you don't believe a specific god exists then they won't decide on where you end up. It wouldnt make much sense if a bunch of gods judging you and decided where you go when you die. (srry if this didnt make sense, its currently 3:30 AM)

Listen. As a Christian it is wrong to force someone into our beleif sytsem. We are meant to warn and not inforce. We have free will. But Jesus was a real person, and he died for us, he had a crown of thorns on him, and was hurt on the cross. We dont just believe God is real for no reason. Christianity is the most and one of the only mocked religions possibly. Countless celebrities mock Jesus. Thats the difference from other religions. In other ones they mock the people, but with christianity they mock the Creator. Why target just us? Why bully someone that died for you? This is because this type of stuff will happen before Jesus’s return. A heavy increase in Evil, boastful, prideful, arrogant people before he comes back. They didnt mock him as much as they do nowadays. This mockery wouldnt slide in the early 1900s. So with all that being said, this is one of the main reasons I beleive Jesus is God, and that God is real. Because why are we like… the ONLY mocked religion?! I remember one time I was at school (I go to a christian school for the education I'm not religious at all) and during this big assembly esque thing they said that atheists hate god and that atheism is flawed and all. I had a full mental breakdown, and I would have to stay in the student support for quite a bit. I hated it so much.

As a Christian I am strongly apposed to these arguments as they hold no weight. Like their just statements with no explanation, they rely on strict faith, and no evidence. Shockingly, a lot of the time, people don't question or reason with their religion.

I am an astrophysics student who is surprisingly a believer. I just want to feel a greater supernatural connection with a greater, higher conscious universal force. I believe that God, who may be the Universe itself is alive, and speaks through us in our thoughts and emotions. We as human beings, our purpose in life is to be interperers of creation. I'm atheist. Believing in God and religion is the "easiest" choice. Most people are believers because at least they think they will go to heaven when they die and find all their relatives. For me, the fact that miracles aren't a real thing and are just luck, the fact that not everyone gets their life saved by Jesus even if they're Christian, the fact that God lets animals get killed by other animals, and my logical sense of thinking, which means not believing in such blissful worlds is enough reasons to not believe in God.

I am a Christian because I am raised in Christian family. But I agree with atheists. Stop these religious wars, no one has evidence about God, holy books are not enough for evidence. I was raised semi christian, went a church a few times when i was little, nobody got me into god or religion much and i got addicted to video games at lile age 10 so i didnt have an amazing social life which turned into many issues im working on now.. as i grew up i started thinking more and more about the real begginning to everything. The more i look the more i dont even know. Theres great arguements on both sides. Main theing for me is if god is a sham, and people just made all of it up to cope with death, then it would be very sad to have dedicated my life to a sham.
If I remember correctly, someone said death makes for a good lie detecter, when Paul was abused and torture he was still Christian, and Paul was specifically going to meet Christians for the purpose of killing them, but suddenly became Christian because of Jesus asking why he is prosecuting his people before saying to spread the word instead of punishing him for he was unable to be blamed for his action but was given mercy, but God said that his life will be merciless but to always believe in him, and so he did. But Paul known that deceivers would pop up after Jesus resurrection and conducted test to prove if they where right, he was so well know that people apparently started rubbing cloths on him and taking it back homes to exercise demon by uttering Jesus name through Paul after seeing and/or hearing him doing so to other demons, and in the end Paul died a martyr (killed because of their beliefs). Today I learned of Duane Miller who lost his voice because of a flu for 3 year of which scar tissue formed and told he will never recover, but one day he went to preached after years of not doing so and talked about how God heals all diseases and ailments, before a miracle happened that was catch on tape, his voice went back to normal and he was confused, he believe in God and everything he spoke but to have a miracle happen to him instead of in the Bible or others spooked him, the next day he went to the doctors which had video evidence of scar tissue building up for the pass years but when the doctor came back, he had tiers in his eyes saying the he could explain his voice caming back spontaneously and everyone will believe him because he is a professional, but he could not explain the lack of scar tissue in which there was none in his throat. If I remember correctly, the video (there is a lot out in youtude) is could "A miracle was catch on tape." There are very good arguments for God’s existence. Ever heard the moral argument? You’ll hear it as objective morality vs subjective morality. Basically, if atheism is true, people can’t do evil because no behaviors can be considered good or bad because there is no objective standard of right and wrong. We know this isn’t true. This is why we have justice systems that punish evil. God is good and His justice system is perfect and everyone will be judged for what they’ve done whether good or bad.

Ants weren't just there as ants from the start and our ancestors up to some point didn't have brains and bones either. We evolved together with the planet we live on today, and I feel that us all evolving together into the ecosystem we are today; animals - plants - the planet, is such a pretty image, compared to us being put together like Ikea furniture :D
In my eyes, humans aren't a planned thing that was put together, instead they are something that didn't have to happen, but yet it did.
Religious people might enjoy believing that they were specially created by a god, because they feel like an important and amazing being because of it, but not having been created by a god doesn't make us any less important. Since what one deems as important and amazing is subjective and entirely up to oneself. As an atheist, I'm happy not having been created by a being, and instead being here cause of evolution. I'm important to myself, have things important to me and have my own set of morals, believing in a god isn't useful for me and I don't require it to keep me or others around me happy.

In science, matter & time & space must happen at the same time for there to be even something called universe. "In the beginning (time), when God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter). If time is not a part of the 3 then WHEN are you going to put all the matter in? If the same happens for space then WHERE will you pute the stuff in? Same goes for matter, WHAT are you gonna put in in that space and time. John 1:1-3; 1:14 can help this.

Every person has different identity because they have different DNA and that's because all the 8billion people in this world don't have the same parents duh.
The blood flow and the mechanism of breathing also isn't found in plants and lower animals. This is because higher animals are kept above plants and lower animals like Porifera, Colenterates, Ctenophora, Platyhelminthes and Ascihelminthes who didn't have such elaborate mechanisms for breathing. They didn't have blood or any circulating fluid in their body in the first place.

I mean if everyone had no morals, we’d kill overselves. Look at dictators, emperors, kings, any rulers who believed themselves to be above morals and ethics. They killed a bunch of people to stay in power didn’t they? That’s their moral. They need to keep themselves in power at the cost of people’s life. Why do they believe killing is right, while everyone else are does not? Because we have something called empathy. I’m sure a few of those rulers also had some, but were repressed on the alcohol of control and power. That empathy comes from a word called sonder. A unconscious realization that they have a rich and complex life. When you take any situation for granted, you cannot realize that.
Can you forgot the bible and God and imagine yourself as a third party? A third party to not some discord or fight, but to life. Wolves are carnivores and have to kill to survive. And from killing, they maintain the delicate their ecosystem. If we condemned wolves and removed all of them, what would have? You can find out from learning about Yellowstone Park. And I’m sure you can realize how small of a matter murder really is. Anything really. Nothing really matters aside from what you as an individual care about, and most of what we care about were indoctrinated to us.
The biggest proof to me that we don’t get our morals from the bible is how morality changes from society to society. Anyone in the USA would probably say eating pets such as dogs and cats is morally wrong. While in some parts of Asia, they see absolutely nothing wrong. Meat is still meat at the end of the day. And are they wrong? There’s also the case of vegans who deem eating any animal at all is morally wrong. God and the bible does not touch on these topics, so where did their spontaneous claim to morality arise from?

I’m a Christian and nowhere does it state nor did Christ say to force people into believing. As a Christian typing in a majority atheist comment section, I know there are a lot of bad hypocritical Christian’s out there that have hurt a lot of people, which may have turned them away from Christianity. I am not forcing you to believe in god, but just know that there are amazing Christians out there and even if you want to reject it, I’m here to say that god loves you and I love you, whoever is reading this. I’ll be praying that you start to open up, even if it’s not through a congregation or church, to just pray and get closer to god. Hellenistic pagan here, here's how I view religion:
I will acknowledge the existence of all gods, whether it be God, Allah, Jesus, Zeus, Thor, Ra, etc. Whatever you believe in and put your faith into is completely okay and valid.
Now, as far as it goes with the gods, I like to believe that because they all exist, they cannot all guide you. See, a god that you may not even know exists shouldn't be able to help your punish you.
The only god(s) that should be able to guide you are the gods you put your faith into. If you choose not to believe in a god then that is completely and absolutely fine and you'll probably be reincarnated or something, I dont think anyone actually knows for sure.
Anyways, to sum this up, in my eyes, if you don't believe a specific god exists then they won't decide on where you end up. It wouldnt make much sense if a bunch of gods judging you and decided where you go when you die.

As a Christian it is wrong to force someone into our beleif sytsem. We are meant to warn and not inforce. We have free will. But Jesus was a real person, and he died for us, he had a crown of thorns on him, and was hurt on the cross. We dont just believe God is real for no reason. Christianity is the most and one of the only mocked religions possibly. Countless celebrities mock Jesus. Thats the difference from other religions. In other ones they mock the people, but with christianity they mock the Creator. Why target just us? Why bully someone that died for you? This is because this type of stuff will happen before Jesus’s return. A heavy increase in Evil, boastful, prideful, arrogant people before he comes back. They didnt mock him as much as they do nowadays. This mockery wouldnt slide in the early 1900s. So with all that being said, this is one of the main reasons I beleive Jesus is God, and that God is real. Because why are we like… the ONLY mocked religion?! I am an astrophysics student who is surprisingly a believer. I just want to feel a greater supernatural connection with a greater, higher conscious universal force. I'm atheist. Believing in God and religion is the "easiest" choice. Most people are believers because at least they think they will go to heaven when they die and find all their relatives. Don't be Christians for this, but be Christians out of pure morality and will of soul. A nice gesture must come from the bottom of the heart, and not from the fear of going to hell. My deepest respect for true Christians.

Man, it's irritating when you try to help someone but someone who claims to be like you ruins it.
For me, the fact that miracles aren't a real thing and are just luck, the fact that not everyone gets their life saved by Jesus even if they're Christian, the fact that God lets animals get killed by other animals, and my logical sense of thinking, which means not believing in such blissful worlds is enough reasons to not believe in God.
So when Jesus healed the blind man and touched his head, it was just a coincidence? Just because people claim their Christian doesn’t actually mean they’re Christian. Look at the crusades. Animals attack each other out of fear, Hunger and protecting young. And if animals stopped eating each other, every ecosystem would die out into extinction.

I am a Christian because I am raised in Christian family. But I agree with atheists. Stop these religious wars, no one has evidence about God, holy books are not enough for evidence. I stay being a Christian because I want to follow my family's beliefs but that doesn't mean I think my religion is the real one or something like that. I respect people's beliefs but we can't focus on one religion and be 100% sure if it's true.

I was raised semi christian, went a church a few times when i was little, nobody got me into god or religion much and i got addicted to video games at lile age 10 so i didnt have an amazing social life which turned into many issues im working on now.. as i grew up i started thinking more and more about the real begginning to everything. The more i look the more i dont even know. Theres great arguements on both sides. Main theing for me is if god is a sham, and people just made all of it up to cope with death, then it would be very sad to have dedicated my life to a sham.
If I remember correctly, someone said death makes for a good lie detecter, when Paul was abused and torture he was still Christian, and Paul was specifically going to meet Christians for the purpose of killing them, but suddenly became Christian because of Jesus asking why he is prosecuting his people before saying to spread the word instead of punishing him for he was unable to be blamed for his action but was given mercy, but God said that his life will be merciless but to always believe in him, and so he did.
But Paul known that deceivers would pop up after Jesus resurrection and conducted test to prove if they where right, he was so well know that people apparently started rubbing cloths on him and taking it back homes to exercise demon by uttering Jesus name through Paul after seeing and/or hearing him doing so to other demons, and in the end Paul died a martyr (killed because of their beliefs).
Today I learned of Duane Miller who lost his voice because of a flu for 3 year of which scar tissue formed and told he will never recover, but one day he went to preached after years of not doing so and talked about how God heals all diseases and ailments, before a miracle happened that was catch on tape, his voice went back to normal and he was confused, he believe in God and everything he spoke but to have a miracle happen to him instead of in the Bible or others spooked him, the next day he went to the doctors which had video evidence of scar tissue building up for the pass years but when the doctor came back, he had tiers in his eyes saying the he could explain his voice caming back spontaneously and everyone will believe him because he is a professional, but he could not explain the lack of scar tissue in which there was none in his throat.
If I remember correctly, the video (there is a lot out in youtude) is could "A miracle was catch on tape." I hope what I commented helps you find the answer, I'll be it this sounds a bit bais because of only being a Christian view but still.
There are very good arguments for God’s existence. Ever heard the moral argument? You’ll hear it as objective morality vs subjective morality. Basically, if atheism is true, people can’t do evil because no behaviors can be considered good or bad because there is no objective standard of right and wrong. We know this isn’t true. This is why we have justice systems that punish evil. God is good and His justice system is perfect and everyone will be judged for what they’ve done whether good or bad.
I had a vision of Jesus Christ in April of 2024 riding on a white horse as if He was ready to go to war with a sword 🗡️ in His hand. So yes, God is real. Jesus is real. And He's coming back very soon🤍 So believe in Jesus and repent of your sins. Ask God to forgive you in Jesus name. ♥️
Because Jesus decided to lay down His life for humanity, we have a chance at salvation and eternal life in heaven once this physical life is over. We don't have to be eternally damned in hell after we die. We don't have to be tormented for ever and ever.
Once we transition from our physical body to our spiritual body, we can have eternal happiness and peace in heaven with God and our Lord and Savior.🤍
Remember, after this physical life is over, our spirits will live on. The body dies, but the spirit doesn't die.

Often times their scriptures will make an obvious claim such as 2 neighboring counties going to war in the past then it repeats in the future. They look at the basic stuff and think "shit my book told the future"
