Absolutely insane run, without any chances to be called a fluke. Men, everyone was just out of their mind, Collapse's Magnus, Yatoro's rampages and hero pool, Torontotokyo's game sense (dude, the way this guy constantly evades ganks even with smokes that makes a lot of space), and Mira and Miposhka vision game and rotations. I'm just hoping that this team doesn't lose any motivation to keep playing in the following tournaments.

The amount of fortitude you need to be on the brink of defeat, and to usher ontop the highest mountain, is an absolutely monstrous undertaking. Dr K (Psychologist of Evil Geniuses ) mentioned that this is one of the most stressful things a human can be put under. TI is absolutely ruthless. Greatest TI ever. Shame there was no crowd though. And that psychologist on Team Spirit did his freaking magical work.
I wanna agree that this is the best TI ever, but TI8 resonated with me more because of its rivalry element and revenge story. TI8 also broke traditions in Dota2.
The grand final was so surreal to live through. It's 6 PM and you take a bus to get home from a university - everybody is watching the grand finals in there. You come home and boot up your PC to watch the last game and all you hear is screams of fans from the streets. You come to university the next day and everybody is talking about TS, even people who know nothing about DOTA, even LoL players. I've never seen such a massive hype for a cybersport tournament, even the 2018 world cup came and went with less hype.

That team may not be the best SEA team, but it had more experience than Team Spirit. - They clapped 2x TI champions OG, who kept 3/5 of their championship roster, and the replacements for those who retired are a TI champion and a TI runner up. "ez game" indeed. - They beat Virtus Pro, who have been their bane at the CIS region. - They beat Invictus Gaming, who defeated them in upper bracket. - They beat Secret, a superstar European team with some TI winners who knocked down OG. - Then they beat PSG.LGD, who also have TI winners and runner up in their roster, just a few hours after beating Secret. Team Spirit played 8 games that day. Along the way they beat the Tiny+Lycan combo done against them multiple times. PSG.LGD was undefeated with that combo, and it wouldn't be a stretch if Secret can make that work against Spirit because of how gifted their players are. I love OG's TI runs, but Team Spirit had a much better run Dota-wise.

In game 5 against PSG LGD, Team spirit faced their opponents' ultimate strategy (Lycan + Tiny) which went unbeaten throughout the tournament (it was like 8-0 or smthng) except for that eventful final game. Amazing run. First TI was won by CIS legends NAVI and TI 10 made new CIS legends. It all went full circle.

2021 - Year of CIS gaming Valorant - Gambit Dota - Spirit CS GO - NAVI PGC - to be held now in nov but I'd say VP are one of the favourites going into it. Truly amazing to see how the region develops young and extremely talented players for now and the future

What I like about Dota and TI is it's unpredictability. Anyone can win unlike other tournaments where you can almost predict who will be in the grand finals at the start of the tournament.
To be honest, most of us predicted PSG LGD will be in the final, that's what make the underdog story so satisfying, the most predictable vs the most unpredictable
Collapse was a key player to think about during ban phase. Mars or Magnus for Collapse was such a hard game to play. Additionally, Yatoro played the 13 different heroes that TI and achieved 3 Rampages throughout the tournament. TORONTOTOKYO was the scariest mid laner that played Ember, Void, and Storm spirit. The three cores were absolutely great to watch.
I like how Team Spirit's opponents in the lower bracket actually progressively gets stronger like an actual anime arc. -) Fnatic (SEA qualifier winner, and the qualifier itself is really competitive in that region) -) Fucking OG -) VP (Who actually looks really strong this year) -) IG (The one that knocks Team Spirit down to lower brackets) -) Team Secret (Arguably the strongest Western EU team in that tournament) -) PSG.LGD (Before the grand finals, they played 23 games, and they only lost TWICE. In the grand finals, they even destroyed Spirit in game 3 and 4 after finding a counter to Collapse's Magnus.)

They lost 3 and 4 game In the grandfinal of the qualifiers because they wanted to lastpick Collapse's hero, but all heroes from his pool were banned at this stage. In the last game, TS firstpicked Mars and from there, nothing could stop them
With all the Dota 2 juggernauts like OG, EG, Team Secret, PSG.LGD etc. its still feels unreal that a small team like Team Spirit could win TI. Literally from pub stars to millionaires
They already proven with Xinq rubick they can counter the mag but in game 5 Mira literally became the Kuroko to Collapse Magnus he protected Collapse from any sorts of counter that he can just do his horn toss skewer combo without an issue. Mira deserves a lot more recognition in that game 5 he's sticking to Collapse and protecting that dude from almost everything.
They beaten Magnus in 3 and won with it in 4 game. And there was a reason to risk in game 5, Lycan Tiny combo, they wouldn't have got it if they banned Magnus

The game 5 was so heart pumping when PSG.LGD is not calling GG coz they know the backdoor protection will pop and it did and TS respectfully back outside their base coz tiny and lycan is alive and have a deadly combo, that was the Dota gods aura on PSG. LGD.
This team never failed me to entertain since Animajor and OGA PIT when they go against LGD and lose 3-1 and on TI no one really believed them to win the TI10 because you know they're new and underdogs and yeah, they got their revenge on LGD 3-2 on Grandfinals

I wanna make it clear, this was no fluke. Team Spirit played extremely solid and with incredible discipline, which is especially incredible for a team so young. They played like seasoned veterans. Props to the coach, Silent, for putting all this together. They also said they had a sports psychologist that gave them the mental fortitude to go through all this.

In game 5 against PSG LGD, Team spirit faced their opponents' ultimate strategy (Lycan + Tiny) which went unbeaten throughout the tournament (it was like 8-0 or smthng) except for that eventful final game. Amazing run. First TI was won by CIS legends NAVI and TI 10 made new CIS legends. It all went full circle.
i guess we have to wait another 10 years for another TI champ that comes from the CIS

What I like about Dota and TI is it's unpredictability. Anyone can win unlike other tournaments where you can almost predict who will be in the grand finals at the start of the tournament.
To be honest, most of us predicted PSG LGD will be in the final, that's what make the underdog story so satisfying, the most predictable vs the most unpredictable

Collapse was a key player to think about during ban phase. Mars or Magnus for Collapse was such a hard game to play. Additionally, Yatoro played the 13 different heroes that TI and achieved 3 Rampages throughout the tournament. TORONTOTOKYO was the scariest mid laner that played Ember, Void, and Storm spirit. The three cores were absolutely great to watch.
Since yatoro sacrificed his hair to the dota gods and they're all weebs. They literally won TI with the power of fucking god and anime on their side

They lost 3 and 4 game In the grandfinal of the qualifiers because they wanted to lastpick Collapse's hero, but all heroes from his pool were banned at this stage. In the last game, TS firstpicked Mars and from there, nothing could stop them

They already proven with Xinq rubick they can counter the mag but in game 5 Mira literally became the Kuroko to Collapse Magnus he protected Collapse from any sorts of counter that he can just do his horn toss skewer combo without an issue. Mira deserves a lot more recognition in that game 5 he's sticking to Collapse and protecting that dude from almost everything.
They beaten Magnus in 3 and won with it in 4 game. And there was a reason to risk in game 5, Lycan Tiny combo, they wouldn't have got it if they banned Magnus

I wanna make it clear, this was no fluke. Team Spirit played extremely solid and with incredible discipline, which is especially incredible for a team so young. They played like seasoned veterans. Props to the coach, Silent, for putting all this together. They also said they had a sports psychologist that gave them the mental fortitude to go through all this.
