The blackhawks left in Afghanistan were critically damage. AFCS and EFIS are destroyed. They need fresh parts. And they need to get it on countries allied with US. This blackhawk is a different model that those in Afghanistan. This model is my favorite. I don't want to expose the secret so that's that.
@@asapasa310 you donot have to worry about my English baby.i can type speak and understand better then you. How ever while typing sometime some words just get miss-spelled so you cannot judge anyone by that.
These new blackhawks have countermeasures has the best avionics. Since the blackhawks that were left in Afghanistan are old ones and a bit analog(looks like it), it is a big task to check those manually and operating at the time. For me because my dad taught me how to fly one when I was a teen. And I think they destroyed the (digital) Automated Flight Computer System and the Electronic Flight Information System before they left Kabul. If they are going to fix them, it should cost half a quarter billion? Maintenance, very complex parts, a lot of pages to follow, test facilities which they do not have..... And I out of words. Why they need a test facility is because when conducting a test on the open dessert, they have to dismantle everything again and clean the dust particles. They might have flown 1.... but in combat situations, you have to be very skilled pilot do fly a blackhawk in such speed.
Former Army Officer here. Long story short, you can go either RA or NG. NG can be the easier route if you are in good with the unit and the command/CWO's. You need to score well on your testing (all of it) and be a squared away Soldier. Don't get into trouble, work hard, show an aptitude and desire to learn and be the best. Also, go into an aviation MOS to start out with, especially crew chief.
It's not a sim, man. It's boring Midwest farm country. Simulator databases are usually around an Army post or a theater of operation. Simulator graphics are about late 90s technology or so. This is such a routine boring flight, why would anyone be motivated or choose to fake such a thing? This happens daily to literally thousands of Army Aviators.
Great Video. Question: Why is the Tail Rotor slanted roughly 10 degs? Also, what purpose does the elevator serve? Why is it always in the downward position? i have always wondered about these two items.
From a "Blackhawk" Heli technician: The tail rotor is canted 20 degrees, this produces 2.5% of the total lifting force in a hover which if i remember right according to the -10 this is roughly 450 lbs of lift. the main rotor is only tilted 3 degrees forward. it is not canted to counteract any other forces besides torque mostly in a hover, in forward flight depending on airspeed the tail rotor becomes less effective and the cambered fairing comes in to play. This is where the elevator also come into the equation. The Elevator is automatic and is part of the process to keep the Heli level during flight. The Blackhawk is a great Helicopter, but without the rotor cant and elevator, the nose would always be pointed toward the sky during flight, and hover!
I am definitely jealous of the navigation aids available in today's avionics.
True. I was lucky enough to fly it.
You’re welcome
Gives the Taliban a great idea
They may watch this video...lol

curious: what exactly causes the vector play?
Weird how the taliban can just jump in and fly these. I wonder if they've been trained?
Pakistan Pilots training them check news 😂
@@daniyalforex Uh yeah; Sarcasm, but Seeing as you barely speak English it went over your head.

we trianed a few afghan national army members to fly these. Taliban probably put these people at gun point to do so
What’s the recommended way to get warrant officer and then fly?
Daniel Beavers I am trying to find that out to
Talk to a recruiter. You can take the qualifying exam before you even enlist to find out if you're eligible

The cockpit footage definitely looks like a simulator!
Only if the simulators suddenly got a massive graphics upgrade.
*Looks Cool Tho*
Samuel Tardif I can assure you, the inflight portion of this vid is done in a simulator! I’m 100% certain sir.
Mr Potato Head how are you so certain? Looks pretty really to me... UH-60 Pilot...

I bet the Taliban are watching this video right now trying to figure out how to fly the 1500 Black Hawks we left in Afghanistan for them.
