His 3D model is really good. I never watch another male 3D vtubers except Holostars, but I think Shien is the best designed Vtuber male 3D right now. Even better than some of Hologirls too.
I think Shien has one of the best designed vtuber male 3D. But when it comes to the 3D model overall, I think Kanda's (Nijisanji) model is by far the best out there in the whole vtuber scene, as far as I've seen. The fluidity is top tier, and the clipping is very close to none.
Shien's model is really well done. I could be fooled into thinking that it's right out of a game if i didnt know who Shien is. Roberu's 3d model kinda fell short but maybe cuz his 2d character didn't have flat colours but was almost semi-realistic. Making it harder to transfer to 3d model.
The spy interrogation will forever be ingrained in my brain. Watching it live, I was giggling like a mad man, but the beginning of second round had me actually laugh out loud. My god this man is yabai.

Imo i think shiens model design is really good and the tracking is really fluid. By far one of the best holostars/ hololive 3D model debut. (besides polka, Idk i dont watch hololive) Roberu's model could've been way better and this is a great example, good to see that more of the boys are getting their 3D debut and I hope everyone in holostars will be able to do too!
his 3D reminded me of most of the Nijisanji's 3D......moving so fluidly and high quality.......(sorry to say this...but Hololive's 3D is not on this lvl of quality)
This is just speculation but I feel like Hololive doesn't really have their own Studio and just outsource place and equipment to do their 3D. They are sometimes inconsistent with the quality, last year and previous years their 3D were great but there are also lots of time where their 3D were kinda... scuffed. Idk if it's just bad management or lack of preparation but Hololive really needs to up their 3D game.
@@jzesu9889 It's no secret that the artwork is outsourced. Most frequently to rariemonn (2D) and Yatsurugi (3D) as far as I'm aware. Shiens 3D was done by pufeyarou, same 3D artist as Lamy and Roberu. Cover is at its roots a tech company specializing in VR & AR. Holo* was just a gold mine they happened to stumble into. Which is why their explosive growth makes the areas they lack expertise in all the more obvious. But they're clearly improving in all areas and I think it's plain to see how large of an improvement they have achieved in just a year. Though I don't think there's much of a reason for them to set up an in-house studio for artwork as they don't need new models all that often and the freelancers they hire are beyond loyal and seem quite eager to support them.
Tbh hololive itself is just like show by rock anime. Because the girls member never interact with male members even they are in same corporation. Male and female is like seperated by "idol culture" Its kinda sad

Intresting they put filter effects on motion now? (That blur everytime something moves) it makes things looks smooth! It's nice to see they're continuin to improve on things as they go
