    Great driving that’s not an easy track. W a couple adjustments on the first sector you can deff get to low 40s

      Thanks! Yeah, I was definitely leaving time on the table in the first sector and between 10 and 12 as well. (I'm sure smaller amounts in other places too, a single day is a tall ask here for sure, lol).

    You know... great vid but I thought it was about NSX vs NSX-T 😅😅. Anyway enjoyed it and you have an amazing piece man. Cheers for 300k more hard happy driving miles 🥂

      NSX vs. NSX-T will have to wait for next month 😁. We'll be at NSXPO so could probably pull that off, lol. Thanks for dropping by and glad you enjoyed it!

    Nice video. That track is pretty local to me so it's good to hear your take. The vintage Acura was a first gen Acura CL btw. Thanks!

      CL, Thanks! I probably knew that if I'd spent time thinking. I try to "one take" these videos though to keep my thoughts somewhat unvarnished so if I screw something up, well, I just screwed it up. If it's bad enough I'll add some text to fix my divot. Definitely a fun circuit that I'd love to be local to.

    13:34 so that's what I look like!
    Open track days are always fun, everything from daily drivers to literal race cars. What I really appreciate is despite the disparity between cars, the track community is so level headed and supportive whereas the "street scene" of car meets and side shows is entirely the opposite.

      Great to meet you and chat some (probably more at PVR than at NYST)! 10/10 on the track-day/hpde/time trial communities being top notch. I've driven with dozens of different groups from coast to coast at this point and I have yet to have anything I'd approach calling a poor or unwelcoming experience. I've been nearly the slowest car at some Chin and PCA days, and nearly the quickest thing on track at a couple of Track Night events: doesn't matter, everyone's still cool regardless of if I'm in their mirrors or they're in mine.

    That poor cars front deserves new paint.. (A fellow black NSX owner)

      I have a replacement bumper cover in my garage that I'm doing some light repairs to and it will get swapped on later in the year. The current one both needs paint and has some structural issues from the previous owner (yeah, it's been 14 years so I'm not innocent here, lol). But it'll be sorted out soon!

    Another great video so thanks. It is nice to see the speed difference between other cars on a track even when the NSX has 30+ years old technology. I only track with other NSX's on Suzuka so don't really get to see that the NSX is still a fast car. Funny to see that you still had some RPM left on the main straight in 3rd gear.

    Amazing video, and car! How has the NSX been at 300k + on track? I'd bet it's quite solid. Possibly why Acura took so long to reintroduce it........It definitely wouldnt have been profittable.

      Yeah, so far the only times I've had to cut a weekend short at all have been for either me wearing out, or occasionally consumables (e.g. brake pads getting thin and not wanting to swap in the paddock when it's already afternoon of day 2). It's had some "old car problems" but other than being bitten by the snap ring issue several years ago, nothing major.

    Why do you shuffle your hands on the wheel while driving on the track??

    • @LapoftheWorld
      @LapoftheWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Combination of a slow steering rack and probably habits from autocrossing as my first discipline. NSX has a much slower steering ratio than, say, an S2000. I think they felt people would need extra leverage without power steering. Given the option between getting uncomfortably crossed up in very-tight turns, at some point I adopted some mild shuffling to keep my reaction options more open vs. Having hands glued at 9/3. 🤷‍♂️
