Why did you not talk about the gem that belongs to bright moon aka the moonstone and also love you so much keep doing She Ra and tying it to SU because nothing can stop SU from your videos
Something that made me disappointed in the series, is that Catra was never confronted for her role in the death of Angella and Glimmer/everyone never confronts her about this.
I think it's because they're on similar terms as far as the damage they did. Catra got the queen killed, but Glimmer used the equivalent of a nuclear bomb, and they both understood the damage those things could do and thought that their reason was good enough to use them. In confronting Catra for her role in the queen's death, Glimmer opens herself up to criticism for her decision. So they agree instead to stay on a level playing field. If glimmer is forgiven, then catra has to be too, because they basically did the same thing.
I would have loved to see some insight into her kingdom's crystal, and the elements she's associated with because of it. She has a moonstone, and her powers have a very strong "light" theme, hence her name (Glimmer) and the sparkles that she fights with, as well as the angelic symbolism of her mother, Angela. There's a lot of symbolism to explore in the elements whether they're classical Greek, Chinese Wuxing, or just common video game tropes. It makes for a great topic to explore with the Princesses of Power, since each one has their own associated element.
😂 ok her combat prowess wasn’t great at the start of the show but steadily improved with more experience. Half her moves before becoming queen were punches, kicks, and staff work augmented by her photo kinetic sparkle powers ✨🤜🏾💥

My friends taught me to be kind. And I’m stubborn. I get that from you (Micah). I won’t stop fighting! And I won’t lose another parent!” Is that incredible quote
I've been watching the origina lShe-ra and mostly, the original Glimmer has no discernible personality. But I definitely recommend 'Come Home Glimmer' or whatever the episode is called. It's where Shadow Weaver manipulates Glimmer into getting mad at Adora for taking charge and it's the closest original Glimmer has gotten to remake Glimmer, that I know of
Glimmer then was much more like a 13-15 year old girl in a world of adults. And so her priorities were much more selfish and self-centered. Though, she did mostly just play the role of damsel in distress, even when her own powers could get her out of the scrapes, a trait the reboot fixed and actually sorta made fun of. (This was mostly because the writers in the 80s would forget she can teleport).
Absolutely adored this show! Having never watch anything to do with Masters of the Universe I was knocked flat with how good this series is and would love a He-Man series or connection!
He-man's getting a reboot that's just a continuation from the 80s version, it wouldn't make sense for them to be in the same universe. Also, he wouldn't have much relevance to the plot.
Okay just want to make it clear, I was fully 100% joking when I said Kyle, he's just the only dude there who looks like a theoretically wimpy version of He-man.
Wait, was Bow actually dating Perfuma?? I thought they just went together as friends, were they actually dating?? That seems really odd, since uh.. We never saw ANY of that.
1985 Glimmer could had been a love interest for He-Man/Prince Adam and 1985 Glimmer looks like British actress Madeline Smith. Reboot Glimmer looks more badass and arrogant and sounds a bit like Sansa Stark.
That’s a good question. I guess I’d go with when she breaks out of her restraints and bitch slaps or sparkle punches Shadow Weaver in the face! I also liked her apology to Bow, the part where she rescues him and Entrapta from the clones on Horde Prime’s ship and defeats her chipped father in a magic duel.
Glimmer is actually the 13th Zodiac sign Ophiuchus, and anyone born between November 29 and December 17 is not a Scorpio or Sagittarius but an Ophiuchus.
seems like you're treating Adora's wish vision as the actual future... Adora doesn't have future vision powers, that was explicitly her WISH for the future, the answer to Mara's question "what do YOU want after this is all over?" And Adora's dying brain manifested her deepest wish, a peaceful life with her two best friends finally together, and a relationship with the girl she's been in love with without letting herself realise before.
@@lillianclarke5316 not really, it's canonly "a beautiful wish". they were in the Crystal Castle, which manifests memories and wishes... Besides, the CORE of Adora's journey is that there IS no destiny. It's what you create, when you follow your heart. Hence the name of the final episode, aside the physical heart of the planet, and the heart-shaped failsafe on her chest.
@@lillianclarke5316 Noelle never mentioned anything about marriage. The whole point of Adora's wish vision was her realising what she wants for the first time in her life. Destiny is fake, after all, as this is what she learns with Light Hope's deception.
The only thing i don't like about Glimmer is how quickly she forgive Catra for trying to conquer Brightmoon, destroy the world, kidnapping her and sent her mother into oblivion and she now treat her as if she was a good friend.
The wiki says she is. Mostly because she seemed reeeally impressed by Adora's She-Ra form, like in Sword Part 2. Now please tell me Catra's bisexual too?
Did you say, "Kit gloves?" It's "Kid gloves." They're called that because they were made from the skin of baby goats. These were abnormally soft, hence handle with kid gloves.
@@lillianclarke5316 and even worse! og glimmer has no independence outside of her mom and is always treated as a silly girl who needs to be saved by she ra
@@nenakarra2579 That's true. She was very much the bratty little girl that turned into a damsel in distress and was high key the worst part of the original. Mostly because she would ALWAYS forget her own powers and just rely on She-Ra to save her. And the reboot gave a REALLY good reason for this being the case (running out of magic/needing to recharge) but they never actually USED it. She would always inexplicably have ONE MORE TELEPORT left. So they would have her playing both roles: the irresponsible teenager that burns through her magic just because she can AND the cautious planner that always keeps one ace up her sleeve. 80s Glimmer was played more like the avatar for kids. The example of bad behavior. Often times, early in the episode, she will get an idea to do something. Someone will warn her tat it's not a good idea or dangerous. She'll go against that and do it anyway (a trait that carried over to the reboot). But things will go bad just as everyone warned her, to the point that she can no longer save herself. Luckily for her, Adora was secretly watching out for her the whole time and comes to her rescue. Then Glimmer feels bad and she, and presumably the kids watching, learns her lesson by the end of the episode. (Which is something I WISH the reboot had carried over. NOW when Glimmer does something that is *ill advised* , things will go bad and then just WORK OUT so Glimmer doesn't feel bad, she DOESN'T learn a lesson OR she's painted to have been right the whole time). So, with that in mind, I understand WHY Glimmer was written the way she was. But it did annoy me that things didn't tend to stick with her. But, at the same time, the 80s series wasn't written to have an end. There was a beginning, and middle, but never end. So there were SMALL developments and very few things carried over from one episode to another. Glimmer's developments were never one of those things. Lol. But, no matter which version it is, 80s or reboot, Glimmer is still the worst character! Lol
I liked the original/Filmation/80s design for Glimmer better, but she was rather weak, & naive. She never lived up to her mother's legacy or her own potential when it came to her power. The new version of Glimmer...i could take her or leave her, she highly annoyed me in the new version's first season, but I came to somewhat appreciate her by the end of the series.

Please do Bow
WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT VLOG OF GLIMMER
Micah reminds my of season 5 samurai jack
Glimmer is actually the 13th Zodiac sign Ophiuchus, and anyone born between November 29 and December 17 is not a Scorpio or Sagittarius but an Ophiuchus.
5:25 Bow never dated Perfuma
**Unpopular Opinion**
I didn't like that Bow and Glimmer got together. Idk why, and I liked them more as friends
GLIMMAH
I hope there's one about catra.
seems like you're treating Adora's wish vision as the actual future...
I’m pretty sure it’s canon Noelle said tho
@@lillianclarke5316 not really, it's canonly "a beautiful wish". they were in the Crystal Castle, which manifests memories and wishes... Besides, the CORE of Adora's journey is that there IS no destiny. It's what you create, when you follow your heart. Hence the name of the final episode, aside the physical heart of the planet, and the heart-shaped failsafe on her chest.
@@nenakarra2579 yes but Noelle basically confirmed on her Twitter that scorpias ball does happen and catradora ans glow get married
@@lillianclarke5316 no? i've seen all their tweets. where.
@@lillianclarke5316 Noelle never mentioned anything about marriage. The whole point of Adora's wish vision was her realising what she wants for the first time in her life. Destiny is fake, after all, as this is what she learns with Light Hope's deception.
Perfuma and Bow weren't dating. Perfuma's a lesbian, and it was never stated that they were dating or in love. They went to princess prom as friends.
is she a lesbian? ... i've heard some people say that Perfuma is supposed to be transgender here?
@@stevenrogers2684 Perfuma's confirmed as a trans lesbian!
Damnit Glimmer!
Someone knows how can i whatch she-ra if i don't have netflix?
Omg she's a fellow sagittarius ♐
More she-ra please!
Can you do Catra next
The only thing i don't like about Glimmer is how quickly she forgive Catra for trying to conquer Brightmoon, destroy the world, kidnapping her and sent her mother into oblivion and she now treat her as if she was a good friend.
Glimmer is the reason I kept watching this show xd
Glimmer is definitely bisextual
yeah, but everyone on this show should be assumed to be bisexual until proven otherwise.
The wiki says she is. Mostly because she seemed reeeally impressed by Adora's She-Ra form, like in Sword Part 2.
Now please tell me Catra's bisexual too?
Glimmers birthday is 2 days before mine
I wish new glimmer could make stuff invisible!
Waiting for Perfuma 😁
Dating Perfuma?? When did that happen? To my knowledge they became closer friends, not girlfriend and boyfriend
Friends of Mara, where yall at?
Not here, worst character in the series
Sorry but I don’t know how to spell mermaid girls name but can you do her
Can you do catra
Honestly when I saw the fist episode I thought Glimmer and Bow were dating-
Bow and Glimmer remind me of Josuke and Yashaho from JoJo Part 8(Jojolion).
Did you say, "Kit gloves?" It's "Kid gloves." They're called that because they were made from the skin of baby goats. These were abnormally soft, hence handle with kid gloves.
Said Kid Gloves
what is the deal with the wing like symbols on her back???
Was I the only one that noticed she has a tattoo of wings on her back?! 1:35
Interesting 🤔
I feel like you watched one episode for your research on 80s Glimmer. LOL
nah she's right
80s glimmer had no development tho tbh I watched a few episodes and it’s basically the same stuff described in the video
Lol
@@nenakarra2579 ikr like she’s meant to be older than dreamworks glimmer too so the lack of independence doesn’t even make sense for the character
Do seahawk
I liked the original/Filmation/80s design for Glimmer better, but she was rather weak, & naive. She never lived up to her mother's legacy or her own potential when it came to her power. The new version of Glimmer...i could take her or leave her, she highly annoyed me in the new version's first season, but I came to somewhat appreciate her by the end of the series.
DATING?! IM SORRY BOW AND PERFUMA ARE JUST FRENDS
