Whoever put that plastic strap instead of just a simple clip is a genuine madman.

Great video, by the way after you remove the storage console you can cut a hole big enough to replace the evaporator sensor using a 12mm socket and just duck tape the hole, did my 2012 Fusion saved 1400$ the Ford dealer wanted to remove the entire dash. Thanks again for a great video. Sensor located straight down.

Great information you provided in your comment. I have heard about that sensor and that was a lot of work to reach it out. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, but, I'm confused as to why you had to get up under the dash/drivers foot well to remove the nut on that strap. I never saw the strap come out, or, go back in. Why is that necessary?

Hello, thanks for your comments and watching the videos. It’s necessary remove that strap because is connected to the center dash storage (front side of it) if you dont remove it you will not have space to remove the fronts screw and as consequence remove the part. I hope the answer is not confusing.

@@TheNomadMechanic Hi, I can't find that nut that holds the strap on. When I use your video image (where it labels the driver's door, center console, front of car) it doesn't seem to orient correctly (when I look at center console the front of car would be in the back of the car according to your image in the video). So do I have to remove carpet to find it? Is the bolt closer to the center console or driver's the side door? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Great video. Do happen to have the part number and where you got it for a black model on a 2010 fusion

My 2010 fusion does not have a speaker. Everything else pretty much looks the same, so does that mean that I follow the same steps or is it different?

Some luxury trims have the speaker if yours doesn’t you can follow the same steps and will be more simple since you just need to omit the steps in which the speaker is mentioned. This procedure will work with your car as well.

Disregard the model number I found one on ebay. BTW, my 2010 did NOT have that strap on it

Lucky you, that strap is a pain in the neck
