Excellent sermon! This portion of information is too often missing from the information we get at church and it's absolutely necessary. The balance is extremely important. Thank you for speaking and teaching truth!
Naivity isn't foolish, its innocent. Naivity leads to heroism, the reason is that naive people trust god and the system - and by acting on that trust they seek to the right thing - doing the right thing, when others fail to do the right thing, can be heroic.
I liked him before the podcast, now I don't know what to think of him. I'd like to see if there's any remorse or how it ends up, but he's a super knowledgeable guy and I respect his outlook on a lot of scripture. However, I don't think he's a good person. Luckily it's not up to me to judge him.
Anyone listen to the podcast "the rise and fall.of Mars hill"? I don't know what to make of it. This preaching seems okay to me. But the podcast makes him out to be a cult leader
He is showing the same problems in this clip. He is using the passage to setup these 3 categories. My guess is that they will frame anyone who criticises him and the church as Evil people. Those who listen to them are foolish people. But those who shun the critics of the church (the evil) and don't listen to them are Wise people. Can we see where he got this from the passage. Sorta. Is this the main point of the passage. No way.
I am proud to call Mark Driscoll my pastor. I have been disciplining under his teaching for over a decade. The drama at Mars Hill was not a result of bad teaching
I hadn’t heard of you until recently and am so glad to have done so! This sermon is what I needed to hear and felt spiritually nourished. Thank you

*_Found you today. God's time is always on time_*
A lot of trolls in this comment section... Just listen to the content of his message, it's very powerful.
A lot of overlap here between evil people and narcissistic personality disorder.

Jesus said you’re either with Him or against Him. That leaves no room for neutrality.

It’s gossip and created by evil hearts.

It is timely eisegesis at a time when his past and current ministry are being criticized.
