I hadn’t heard of you until recently and am so glad to have done so! This sermon is what I needed to hear and felt spiritually nourished. Thank you

Excellent sermon! This portion of information is too often missing from the information we get at church and it's absolutely necessary. The balance is extremely important. Thank you for speaking and teaching truth!

    Naivity isn't foolish, its innocent.
Naivity leads to heroism, the reason is that naive people trust god and the system - and by acting on that trust they seek to the right thing - doing the right thing, when others fail to do the right thing, can be heroic.

Jesus said you’re either with Him or against Him. That leaves no room for neutrality.

A lot of overlap here between evil people and narcissistic personality disorder.

    it's a Good sermon.
the Real problems with being evil. is being evil without doing it on purpose.
i have problems with my younger sibling.
    he suffers from arrested development.
and no one is teaching him anything on how to be Rightous and traumatized him with past threats.
he still holds grudges. and don't seem to know anything about self control.
and we so called therapists who are No help at all.
and never solved Any of our problems. they only let our family to the speaking for us.
even though they don't even know what they are talking about.
and injustice in households always ticked me off. it used to all the time.
I was always like a prisoner in any home live in.
and these so called therapists have prescribed medication that we probably shouldn't even be taken in the first place.
and nowadays. i can't get mad or upset without having to abuse medication.
most of our family members are and have always been enemies to us since we were born.

I liked him before the podcast, now I don't know what to think of him. I'd like to see if there's any remorse or how it ends up, but he's a super knowledgeable guy and I respect his outlook on a lot of scripture. However, I don't think he's a good person. Luckily it's not up to me to judge him.

I did. It's so interesting he did a sermon about wicked people and he's talking about himself.

It appears Driscoll is calling out some of his relatives as ‘evil’.

Anyone listen to the podcast "the rise and fall.of Mars hill"? I don't know what to make of it. This preaching seems okay to me. But the podcast makes him out to be a cult leader

He is showing the same problems in this clip. He is using the passage to setup these 3 categories. My guess is that they will frame anyone who criticises him and the church as Evil people. Those who listen to them are foolish people. But those who shun the critics of the church (the evil) and don't listen to them are Wise people.
Can we see where he got this from the passage. Sorta.
Is this the main point of the passage. No way.

I am proud to call Mark Driscoll my pastor. I have been disciplining under his teaching for over a decade. The drama at Mars Hill was not a result of bad teaching
