I expected some maturity especially with having a child now but his content has been basically the same since I came across his music for the most part. This album is basically a cookie cutter take from his usual formula
I agree with Budden it's the same thing I been saying in my inner circle. The feats are nice but honestly weaken the album. His feats on any of his albums versus the songs with just him, there's a big difference. I never cared for feats unless they were big good names, rapper rappers like Rick Ross, Wayne, Jay z, Nicki, etc.
THe one thing I LOVE about JOe is the honestly the realism in the conversations. These are the same chats I’m having at home. CLB was not great period.
The album was straight up OK.

CLB was a huge disappointment, the max score is a 4/10😬 1 brownie point added for the fact that he actually dropped it. The album was boring and I skipped about 17 songs 💀

People are just desensitized to how good of an artist drake is. The production, bars and flow were all top quality on CLB, it's just that everyone expects each album to get better because of his run beginning with Scorpion. Hopefully all the ignorant hate Drake is getting on this album will push him to drop a black album type classic on his next one like Jay-Z did when everyone was trying to say he fell off

This is a non-review 🤣. But to me CLB just came across as shallow. Like read the room, bruh! We're all coming out of miserable lockdowns & most folks don't want to hear him rap about how much money & strippers he has, esp when he pushing 40 & has a son. Plus he calls his son a mistake, which is sad af. One reason Donda feels so powerful is its theme of loss is really relatable to most of us now

I like Way Too Sexy too. I like the album. I really didn't know what to expect with this album. I tried not to come to conclusions and know that Drake is always going to be Drake. Some people seem to want him to be more like other people. Why should he when he's on top being who he is. Yes, this is too much the same as other projects but I understand some artists will never feel the need to change something that's not hurting their cash flow. I always wanted The Game only album with one producer (never happen), or that LupEnd album. Some artists will continue to live in their comfort zone until they somewhat retire.
