Part of me would like to see a game based off some of the other less action-filled Arnie movies like Twins, Junior or Kindergarten Cop. I wonder what a Junior game from LJN or Ocean would be like (shudder).
When this game was in early development, Jack Slater was indeed designed to wield some sort of weapon. However, Arnold himself stepped in and forced the developers to escew any weapons that his character could get his hands on. Thus, all of the enemies are armed to the teeth and poor ol' Slater has to punch and kick them all.
That's weird. In the True Lies game the following year, his character has a shitload of guns. Did Arnie do it because of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing or was it some other reason?

It doesn't mention the then-recent terrorist attacks being a motive, but it is possible. Arnold seemed to really want to soften up his image post-1990.
This whole game is like the urinating scene in Hell in the Pacific. You think its raining but no, its Lee Marvin towering above you holding his pecker. Im surprised they didnt make the end villain puke out homing snotballs, made into a stew. Mmm tasty.
The moment I saw somebody play this game and saw this horrible final boss, I wondered if you'd ever cover this boss. Glad to see you tear it a new one. I remember your Last Action Hero NES review and wondered in the end if the SNES version was worse. I gotta say the NES version is only slightly better after this version of LAH.
The game boy LAH has a boss battle that's just as bad, with Benedict's face popping out of a movie screen. Jesus Christ, couldn't they have had one good final boss battle in the LAH game?

I have a reccomendation for a stupid moment in video games: the final part of crash tag team racing *where the villain apparently escapes to a rocket, yet apparently he doesn't do anything, you just press the button, and that's it, the ending is shown afterwards* the ending to crash tag team racing was just nothing more than just anticlimactic, despite that, it's a guilty pleasure game for me 🙂
Reminds me of your P.O.W. Stupid Boss Battle. If you know the trick, the guy is real easy. I've noticed a lot of 'hard' games are like that - they're only hard if you don't know the tricks

@@filmnstuff Ain't that the truth. You made that point crystal clear when you talked about Toad Man and especially Top Man. I quite like Bubble Man myself. Heck, I feel bad for the guy for the amount of hate he gets. I mean, I could understand why he gets so much hate, but still.

I liked the dinosaurs, but I always felt the story was thin and that some of the characters like Nedry, Muldoon and even Grant were rather one-dimensional. Though I felt the movie did a better job making John Hammond more human, rather than the one-dimensional villain of the book. I didn't even like the movie that much when I first saw it back in 1993.
I have a request for him for the next stupid boss battles/levels from hell, it's "marathon stage from Mario and sonic at the Olympics games 2020 tokyo" for the Nintendo switch
Last Action Hero is one of my favorite Schwarzenegger movies, very underrated.

I just realized something. The teleport effect is like Q from Star Trek: TNG. So maybe Benedict is a rogue member of the Q continuum.
