Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

Ten years earlier than you, 1966, I was enabled to trust in Jesus Christ. This has kept me in all hard times of trouble, when I slipped and grieved the Lord, the Holy Spirit. He is my one great hope.

Charles Spurgeon...I discovered him after my conversion in 1966...& have been reading, hearing his sermons since then. In or of the 20th century my discovering Albert Martin & Martin Lloyd-Jones have been given me, thus the Lord gave me holy men of His to help me. These three preachers have been very, very much a blessing to this old sinner's heart of nigh 60 years.
How I love listening to this preacher.. The world needs millions like him at this time. Reserving hug for him when I get to Heaven. Agape - Maranatha!

Amen! God causes us (by His Spirit's power) to adibe in Him and obey Him which includes keeping His commandments.
I pray this happens to me constantly. I thought I was saved for years now I'm giving doubt. When Spurgeon says no man cries for a new heart unless he's already got it. Do you think that's true
What a gift from God that we may know Him! Yes I think it's true that when we cry for a new heart or a righter spirit,... I think that we wouldn't even know how to pray that we are unless the Lord has blessed us with a new heart ❤️ be blessed. and be glad.

Thank you for the hard, dedicated work of producing this. Your voice is spot on. EZ 36:26 helped me understand I did not make a decision to believe, to think, to consider Gods ways... It is God/Jesus/Holy Spirit who calls. Many are called, few are chosen. But I am stuck with a very thick, dumb skull of a mind and fundamental sin. God is smashing me down (In a very loving way of course) to depend on him. Not me, Not My Ego, Not My Strength, Not My Good Works..... My Pride/Sin list goes on and on. Jesus plus nothing equals everything. Sounds nice, but do we really feel that way when it actually happens?
I guess when we die and all earthly stuff is over will that statement ring ultimate. Jesus plus nothing equals everything.

Uploaded 18 hours ago as of the current time stamp, and for God to have got me here and prepared my heart with His gracious strength to subdue my self will and listen to this message, unknowingly to have sung the beginning of this day, out of my desperation and my uncomeliness of character and stubborn will deep within; of the same song, 'create in me a new heart' (of Keith Green's) and begging to 'take not His Holy Spirit from me...' lest my fleshly-self restrained me from listening to this sermon and being touched by the everlasting truth and nature of God's love and Christ's grace and forgivenes, to renew my heart through the unfathomed gentleness of the Holy Spirit working within me, even after, all the rebellion I fight against Him, time and again, I am only quickened to continue praying to see that day of hope, believing already, that it is already an answered prayer, right today, right now!

So if I don’t keep the Sabbath, then I will not enter the Kingdom of heaven?
@@joseaguilera5257 Hebrews 10:26,27 says if one wilfully sins after receiving the knowledge of the truth then there remains no sacrifice for one so,
#1 do you know that the Sabbath begins at evening on Friday and ends at evening in Saturday? If yes then don’t sin by breaking it
#2 do you know that breaking any one of the Ten Commandments deliberately is sin? (1 John 3:4) If yes then go and sin no more
#3 the wages of wilful sin is eternal death (Romans 6:23) so if you wilfully break the Sabbath knowing what God has commanded in Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:3 then you can easily answer the question which you ask, for Jeremiah 33:3 says that God has given you the answer to your question as He promised to do.
God has told us (2 Peter 3:9) that His will is that all should come to repentance and be saved so, only you can make the deliberate decision to disobey God rather than to obey Him (Hebrews 5:9) it’s all up to you.

@@oscarfabi_ Amen, this is why I placed the question. Keeping the Sabbath was a shadow of what Jesus Christ would bring, true rest. You can keep the sabbath, but if you don't have Christ, that comes through faith in him, then you don't have true rest. So we are on the same page. God bless
@@joseaguilera5257 The Sabbath is not a shadow. That's like saying that not murdering is a shadow of Christ. The Sabbath is one of the 10 commandments of God... His eternal law (Psalm 111:7-8). You wouldn't say that someone loves Jesus just because they claim to have faith in Jesus if they keep on willingly and unrepentantly killing people. Why then do we think that breaking God's 4th commandment is an acceptable act of lawlessness? No Christian thinks that they should break 9 of the 10 commandments, but for some reason the one which we are told to remember, the one which existed before sin in the garden of Eden, the one which will exist forever in the new creation (Isaiah 66:23) is the one commandment that most Christians are ok with breaking.
That being said, yes, keeping the Sabbath without Christ is worthless because we can only be saved by faith. However, faith without works is dead and unable to save anyone. Jesus tells us that if we love Him we will keep His commandments (John 14:15).
Here is what Spurgeon had to say about the 10 commandments: "If you love God with all your heart you must keep the first table; and if you love your neighbor as yourelfs you must keep the second table." (The Perpetuity of the Law & The Law Written on the Heart - Location 95 - ebook version)
Many have been deceived by the Antichrist, the papacy, into thinking that the Sabbath can be disregarded, but that is not the Biblical truth. This is not to say that those who have been deceived are not saved because they failed to keep the Sabbath. God is merciful and He winks at our ignorance (Acts 17:30) so many faithful Christians are saved despite their Sabbath breaking. The Sabbath is a blessing from God made for man. It's literally the easiest commandment to keep because it's just a reminder that we are not saved by our works, since we rest from work on the Sabbath, and that God alone can make us holy just how He made the Sabbath holy (Ezekiel 20:12).

Because of the censorship, I am of the opinion that saints came from various backgrounds, some believed in a trinity others were Jews, they were faithful to God but did not know the truth because the vatican made sure they remained ignorant and before they could gain more progress they were locked away tortured and burnt alive---the biting irony is that at some level many saints were heretics in serious ways or at least in subtle ways, but in an atmosphere of indoctrination from infancy, utter terrorism, utter persecution, universal imposed ignorance on the pain of death, with zero opportunity, yet it is still a blasphemy and a lie to describe them as nothing more than heretics, hypocrisy to force them to recant truths only to accept heresies, unjust to punish the least heretical where all are heretics and remain immune. One major heresy most denominations retained was the trinity and one major symbol they continue to use is the cross, which is an ancient symbol related to sun worship, and the cross is the mark of the beast. The True Church is more elusive and has never and will never become the mainstream, it is the door that leads to life that few find, and the hard way that leads to salvation that only a few have taken, it has remained underground under relentless persecution--we are trying to speak out, but always fail to gain any voice; it does not really figure in any historical account, because all history is a catholic narration of what is convenient to Rome, hence the most important events and persons are omitted, since they are also the ones to which the jesuit status quo is most sensitive to, their defeats, their crimes, the reversal of all their claims and boasts, their shame, their weak points----they continue to insist in those lies not because they believe them but because through them they can manipulate others and stay in power; most of the Church has been made up of dispersed individuals so called 'heretics' that were identified before joining any other Christian by the secret vatican police, which hunted them even in forests, and were martyred one at a time. There were only rare instances of a united body of Christians like the Waldenses in the remote summits of the Alps and the Cathars in Southern France who also had to disguise themselves to survive the catholic persecution but soon the vatican felt a morbid fear of their growing numbers and through various pretexts besides promising spoils to the plunderers as bribes and various forms of retaliation against monarchs nobles etc. by way of intimidation it crushed every instance in every age everywhere to this day, torture was officially introduced with an official inquisition and the Dominican order was created after the pattern of the Cathars so that by mimicking them the vatican might convert with soft power some Cathars or potential Cathars, these orders with various styles and flavors are the basis for the pantheon of religions the jesuits now own with some 40,000 heretical Christian denominations, all current religions worldwide are catholic orders; how close to Christ these victims were can only be assumed and deduced by their fate, as the catholic accounts of their beliefs are spurious. They faced repeated crusades until they disappeared in the 19th century (Waldenses) with much of their literature confiscated by the vatican and some ' surviving examples' considered by most as forgeries prove the jesuits have a lot to hide. The technological developments have made the tortures interrogations manuals persecutions intensify every generation, the increasing immorality and corruption of society have also increased the cruelty and brutality of the inquisition and its sadistic attributes. One way or another, the vatican always manages to persuade society to approve of the public burning of saints, one invariable tool it has used for this purpose is to demonize saints, to malign any good figure of history ever after, predisposing all minds to get to the truth. I have been 'burning alive' in torment for over a decade, the torture never ceases 24/7, the world remains indifferent incredulous blind, generally no government has ever cared, and in cases where they have cared, they have failed to protect their subjects (consider the case of Hus or even Joan of Arc), never discerning how important the cause of Christ is. Finally the vatican does not only persecute saints, it does not only make holocausts of saints, it makes holocausts of all they can make holocausts of, and in fact it has committed genocides against the majority of ethnic religious and cultural groups on earth---the particulars of their individual cases will reveal the actual motive, in some cases it was all for money, in other cases it was all for religious reasons, in most cases there is a combination of many factors. The suppression of truth is a major goal in the vatican/jesuit agenda, it can be scientific, as in the famous Galileo case, or political, or religious, etc---they do not want be debunked and exposed as the impostors they really are in any of these areas, nay, to be unmasked as the antichrists, their power and wealth derive from deceiving the world, being they the snake mouthpiece of satan. The Pharisees persecuted the early Christians for religious reasons, and this is the main reason all Christians in every place and age have been persecuted for---the exploitation employed to finance their persecution and annihilation and the other potential economic political social threats they may pose in an upside-down world are secondary and tangential.Feel free to ask any questions.
