Anyone who says "get a real job" is extremely rude, and I personally would not do a video just for them explaining why I'm a reseller. I also think any youtuber who takes the time and effort to make videos for us, shouldn't feel pressured to share how much TH-cam pays them.
I so agree Sophie... I watch TH-cam for interests and entertainment... I appreciate the TH-camrs... what they make money wise is none of my business and I'm not interested... the only thing I guess I hope is that the TH-camr is enjoying what they do and getting something out of it... hopefully a good wage... but once again, I dont want to know the figures :)

I think it’s funny how someone has asked the ‘why don’t you get a real job’ question - whilst watching your videos!?
I think most people here are resellers themselves or at least aspire to do that in the future - so whoever is leaving nasty comments like that is probably just horribly jealous of the success you’re having and fuming that they have to go to work every single day - and not have the luxury of being self employed.
Please don’t let the neggy comments get to you! You’re an inspiration to many, which sadly means you’ll be a point of jealousy for many others ❤
I’ve got a “real job” as well as dabbling with selling on eBay. Dabbling with selling on eBay must be a “real job” too because I’ve to submit a tax return every year 😂

I have been told many times over the year's to get a full time job when I was an agency driver but my 8 years as an agency driver gave me the flexibility to enjoy life and work when the work was there and have days off when the work wasn't there which were 8 very enjoyable years as I learnt to live on 3 day weeks and budget accordingly eg not expecting or relying on 5 days a week pay which led to me downsizing to live in a car whilst still working as an agency driver and living in a car was so much fun and I have always bought ornaments and art from charity shops etc and I have been told so many times to stop wasting money buying domain names but my domain name purchases will prove to be the best money I have ever spent
got to love these sporadic bulk buys of new stock- especially when they're literally flying off the shelves!
Nic has this reselling down to a fine art however it’s still hardwork, sourcing,selling and posting. So anything he makes he deserves.
Personally i feel like reselling requires more effort than a “real job” so jokes on them
You could have inventory labels on the racks next to each item with quantity number.. and keep changing the number everytime something sells.

Hi nic and Andrea. I was self employed for ten years and rejoined the work force 2 months ago. It's not for a company to line peoples pockets but is very rewarding. One thing I have learned since being back in the paye game is that actually being employed is a darn sight easier than being self employed. Takes up a lot less mental space and no 24/7 being on call like it can be reselling. Hope you are both well and the people that say get a real job obviously haven't done both

I think a lot of people don't realize how much work it is for a (re)seller to sell online. It's a lot of work. You have to be very dedicated to it to keep going.

Nic, Andrea, got to give a shout out to you both. Some time back you had a right result with a car boot sale purchase. Not going to say what item! Last week i was in a charity shop and saw the exact same thing for £4. Couldn't believe my eyes. Just sold on e-bay for £235. What a result and well chuffed!

@@Albert12893 Thanks, i'm not a reseller, i just happened across them when in a charity shop. And you mentioned cameras in your last comment. I am actually a keen amateur photographer and right now there is a market for older low megapixel point and shoot cameras and prices are going up fast on some models in particular. But like anything else, word is out!. Also there are some old lenses out there, many are rubbish but there are some gems if you know what they are, some are actually very valuable. I've picked up 3 now and they sell instantly on ebay.

Go get a real job, hmm okay you are shop keeper who sells new and second hand items online, picking items looking for deals, fulfilling items, shipping items amongst other duties sounds like a job to me, plus your the boss well done and wish you on going success

I started selling on ebay in 1998 so would have been 24 then
What postage do you use for your eBay sales? I'm currently using Tracked 48hr, but it's really annoying that you can't drop those off directly at the post office
@@antiquescentral I have been using 48hr tracked as I have a parcelbox not too far from me. But I've now taken on an office space and they only have a post office nearby, so I'll probably need to go for 2nd class signed for

This was bankrupt stock so a one off deal, but I could get similar deals with different stock - it is a direction we have considered, but for now we will do a bit of both...new and used
