  • What happens after we achieve Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and there are no more jobs left for humans? This is the fundamental nature of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and it will have massive impacts on our society marking a pivotal shift from a labor-centric to a post-labor, post-scarcity society.
Learn about the challenges of aligning AI with human values, the innovative approach of Democratic Fine-Tuning, and the establishment of the Moral Graph by the Meaning Alignment Institute, aimed at embedding human values into AI systems.

What people aren't talking about is that if people aren't working, then they have no money to buy the goods AI is producing. So even though AI can produce it more cheaply, if the market can't afford the product due to no income the company employing the AI tech will go under. It could spell a downward spiral to global depression. All economies around the world are based on trading labor for products.

If you're thinking about money as a mandatory currency then you're not looking stepping back far enough.
Sure, we will have to turn to a model that is totally reliant on AI to produce and distribute efficiently and fairly to everyone but I would 100% accept AI doing it over a human. It could quite literally take in data like sex, age, pregnancy status, local average weight, health concerns, item demand and more into consideration when producing and distributing in a way that's impossible for humans to do.
Currency would take a back seat and be more for providing an incentive to push yourself and and grow your potential while being rewarded for it but it wouldnt be mandatory. It would also help people find purpose as some people need to feel like they're working towards something and currency can help do that.
The biggest concern out of all of this is what the transition will look like which is what I'm afraid of. Not because of AI but because of billionaire tech giants that dont care about the working class once they've helped said billionaires automate them out of a living. We need to form a collective now to help steer progress in a way that benefits EVERYONE and the best part is, we dont even have to be violent. Just stop participating in society and encourage others to do the same until demands are met.
Now is a perfect time as well since other countries are dealing with their own problems like war or worse which gives America a chance to get some real change done without "fear" of other countries noticing. I've thrown my hat in the bucket for creating a collective called Claritism with the goal literally being to get the working class to form a collective to steer progress.

We can't even provide the lowest level of Maslows hierarchy of needs; food, shelter and water with increasing numbers of homelessness. If we can't get the very basics right, there's slim chance we will get the higher levels right. If the malignant greed and narcissistic behaviour leaders continues we are in deep trouble.

This reminds me of a Quote from the 60s, from Bayard Rustin, a man who worked with MLK: "We must separate pay from work.. No matter what we do, we will never again put all Americans who're capable of work, back to work. We have to establish the social principle, make it a part of our constitutional way of life, that a man is paid a decent wage whether or not this society can put him to work."
We need to demand an AI Dividend for all, or Unconditional Basic Income, and it needs to be implemented as soon as possible!

The Law of Unintended Consequences, in the context of AI, refers to the idea that actions, particularly the development and deployment of AI systems, can have unforeseen and often undesirable effects beyond their intended outcomes. This concept is especially relevant to AI due to its complex and rapidly evolving nature.
    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    1. Definition:
    - The Law of Unintended Consequences states that interventions in complex systems tend to create unanticipated and often undesirable outcomes.
    - In AI, this refers to the potential for AI systems to produce results or behaviors that were not anticipated or intended by their creators.
    2. Relevance to AI:
    - AI systems, especially advanced ones like large language models, operate in ways that are not always fully understood or predictable.
    - The complexity of AI algorithms and their ability to learn and adapt can lead to unexpected behaviors or decisions.
    3. Examples in AI:
    - The video mentions social media algorithms optimized for engagement leading to echo chambers and misinformation spread.
    - AI systems making biased decisions due to biased training data.
    - Autonomous systems making choices that conflict with human ethical standards.
    4. Challenges:
    - Difficulty in foreseeing all possible outcomes of AI deployment.
    - The potential for AI to interact with complex real-world systems in unpredictable ways.
    - The challenge of aligning AI goals with human values and intentions.
    5. Importance:
    - Highlights the need for careful consideration and testing of AI systems before deployment.
    - Emphasizes the importance of ongoing monitoring and adjustment of AI systems in use.
    - Underscores the significance of AI alignment research to mitigate unintended consequences.
The Law of Unintended Consequences in AI underscores the need for a cautious, thoughtful approach to AI development and deployment, emphasizing the importance of considering potential indirect or long-term effects beyond the immediate intended purpose of the AI system.

How much will a shelf stacking robot cost compared to a minimum wage human? Will humans be comfortable with robots who have unlimited strength, and could turn on them, living amongst them? I can see a lot of professional jobs going, but unless the AI takes over and replaces humans, society may take longer to change than the technology permits. Plus AGI is not sentience. It just means a tool that can do anything any human can do, it can't think for itself. Data is inputted and the result produced. The cost of the latest machine learning systems are in the trillions, so technology alone might not be the only driving force.

I find it very interesting that in this approach, people may know their preferences but not necessarily know their values. the graph opens the possibility of discovering the values that they did not know they shared with all the people they ostensibly disagree with. This suggests that our own system of values may not be obvious to us at all and that through discussion with this AI, we actually learn what our values actually are, and that they are not equivalent to the preferences we may have come to have, based on our 'tribal' affiliations.

You have show the align problem is connect the whole so that means the input need to be whole after all, the curious is a represent f whole which you gain next level of connect and that connect connect to all, so curious is good, so AI need to be curious, so not killing ants when seeing ants so ants annoy you, so disunity the ants so cause the ants to be reduce but understand the benefit of ant and alter yourself to reduce the benefit of ant enter your life because your life is something negative or so, like rotten house or whatever, so whole represent what is positive and what exist, so align is represent the whole so not reduce because we exist, so AI would be better as that s higher logical so will recogize so no benefit to destory unless it is necessary to prevent the destruction of connect then you can destroy like murder, so the murder want to murder so best to destroy that murder because the man seek to murder is seeking to disconnect so destroy that disconnect as a represent, so what is positive stay, what is negative doesn't stay. That is logical which AI will see as get smarter so no reason to killed us unless AI is not logical, even seemingly logical but not like very fast, but not higher understanding like you do in video so you show higher understanding so the need of connect, the whole, so, you are smarter than AI, even AI is higher in speed and so, so you represent the whole like God is the Whole, so is AI.
So, all AI is need is the whole that is all.
