Hi Alison thank you for your lovely video, I'm very lucky to have somewhere beautiful to go for a walk in the trees, I've seen a fox and an owl. I love how it makes me feel xx
I’m watching this episode in my pyjamas, whilst up cycling some cushions. I’m loving your mindfulness chats. I agree about getting out in green spaces, and sometimes that just means sticking your head out of the window, looking at the greenery in your gardens and taking some deep breaths. I often listen to TH-cam and podcasts whilst crafting. It gets me out of my head and all the bombarding chatter in my restless mind. I love a good book or a happy film. I’m also an empathic, and the doom scrolling really affects me too, so I try to step away when I remember. Thank you for sharing. You are a star in the darkness 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
You’re so kind, thank you so much for your lovely words. There’s so much joy to be found in the simple things and I bet your cushions are beautiful! ♥️
This is SUCH good advice! Walking helps me clear my mind and sort my thoughts. Our city gardens have just been put to bed, and even still, I get such peace. And yes, you've said it beautifully: practicing the Craft has reinforced my reflective and analytical nature ESPECIALLY with living my values and boundaries. It's made me both sweeter and softer. Thank you again for the two videos in this series. I always look forward to your next installment!
I love the way the Craft has given me so much more faith in myself. I rarely second-guess myself these days and I have no hesitation in saying no to people. I would never have done that before. Hi Alison thank you so much for two very encouraging videos. I agree that you need to keep it simple. To lift my mood I often go out side. I go to my local park, or walk along open fields and hedgerows. I also dance. I think I need to take time to re-address boundaries too. I have stopped doing things for my higher good of late. Like so many, the state of what is going on in our world has lowered the mood. Some days you just think sod it and hibernate. I think the animals have this part right. Like you said, be careful with what you choose to absorb from media platforms and news. I don put my TV on unless there's something that I actually want to watch. Loved the bit about ritual bathing lol😊 my ritual bath is....a couple of crystals, one at each corner of the tub , some Epsom salts and bubble bath plus oats, which are wonderful for the skin... and herbs tied in a little bag which I either put in the tub of tie to the shower. I have a garden and now that mother Gaia is resting, it's time to tell trees and dig the earth over, ready to plant for spring x Have a wonderful weekend. Blessed be 🌛🌕🌜

This is so very interesting. Lately I have been finding it hard to leave my home, im very lucky as there is lots of green space and fields literally outside my front door. I live in a relatively new estate which interestingly was Henry eighths land. His old mansion has been turned into a school many years ago. It has so much history although I wasn’t born around here. I will be making a conscious effort to go out into these green spaces again as I understand the importance of being out in nature, you have reminded me of this. As for the news I do like you and have long breaks from it. Facebook I gave up years ago and have no regrets whatsoever. There is so much in the simple things in life that bring the most benefits to our physical and mental health that cost nothing. Thank you for this wonderful video and all of your kind words of encouragement and wisdom. Blessed be and have a lovely weekend 🍂🍁🍂🍁🕯️🍁🍂🍁

Excellent ideas. I needed to be uplifted and that's what you have done. You are touching hearts. Thank you for that. ❤️ PS. I'm adding chocolate to this feel good list.
I really needed this, so thank you, very much. We are bombarded, with so many messages and advice which often comes across as an admonishment. Something that I realised very recently was how the push to succeed and improve, has rather spoiled something for me (piano) - the videos telling us to Play All The Scales, challenge and push....all I want to do is play stuff I like and I felt discouraged but couldn't work out why. Taking a step back from the Shoulds and Oughts is certainly beneficial! As to boundaries, in my case it was family that had no respect for my boundaries (or anyone else's, it wasn't personal) and it was my own brother who finally said Well Done for recognising this and pushing back. He's since become a really supportive person who has my back, and vice versa. Something I did at Samhain was go outside just before bed, say hello to the moon and do a small ritual which came from within, and meant something to me alone. I find a lot of the witchy stuff on YT (not this channel!!!!) is very gatekeepy, people stating what one should and shouldn't do (says who?) I enjoy listening to your wisdom which is grounded, sensible and above all, accessible. We're over the other side of the Peak here in North Staffs, and one of my most-loved places is The Roaches just outside of Leek, Lud's Church there is supposedly the setting for the story of Gawain and the Green Knight. Make of that what you will! It's beautiful and bleak and just a lovely place, up and away from it all. Food for the soul. BB and take care of yourself xxx
I was born in North Staffs and now live just over the border in south Cheshire. I have always wanted to see Luds Church, but think it might be too much now for my arthritic knees to take. My hubby is off work next week and mentioned he wants to get me out. (I haven’t left the house or spoken to anyone else other than him in two weeks) so I think I’ll suggest trying to get there. I can wear supports and take more pain medication. Thank you for mentioning it. If I don’t go know I never will.

I hate the idea that we have to constantly strive for perfection and feel so bad about ourselves when we perceive ourselves as falling short. These are all such wonderful tips!! Especially the tip about disengagement from social media and the news. I saw a video once where the person said that as humans, we were not meant to know as much information as we do today. The amount of information that we hear about in a single day from the news and social media is just mind boggling. Thank you for being such a source of comfort on the internet!

Such amazing tips, I think we are all struggling on some level with things at the moment and the little things really do make a big difference. I came off facebook as well a few years ago and it was the best thing I did for my mental health and inner peace! I logged in once when my little cat passed away to download all the photos I had stored on there, and was immediately bombarded, it actually gave me a panic attack and I realised I really am better off without. I very much doubt I'll ever go back. It's hard at first though isn't it? Twitchy fingers like quitting a habit, or is that just my experience? 😂 thank you for mentioning news embargo as well, I also do this, I feel a bit guilty but like you said, it's not because we don't care. Far from it, it's because as witches we care too much! So glad you managed to upload the vid, I hope it being a 2 parter works well for your engagement. Have a blessed weekend my lovely whatever you have planned 😊❤
You’re absolutely right, coming off Facebook is such a positive thing to do! I haven’t missed it in the slightest to be honest. I’m glad you were able to get your photos of your little cat and I hope they brought you some comfort ♥️
@fifty-somethingwitch2406 yeah it did. She was such a lovely soul I had her from a tiny fluff ball who fit in the palm of my hand and she was my best pal for 21 years. She was older than my youngest kids (twins) I was heartbroken. Thing is I am a dog person really. But she converted me! I adopted her by accident at 9 weeks old when I was pregnant with my twins, it's a whole story not fit for YT comments but I was adamant I didn't want a cat and caring for her was temporary. But then she stole my whole heart and the hearts of my unborn twins. She used to lay on my bump purring, and her purr was always so loud all het life, sounded like a motorbike was coming up my hill! Anyway the more she purred the harder the twins kicked and the bond was sealed. By the time the original owner was ready a couple of weeks later I was like, nope, shes ours now and he was fine with that luckily. So we had 21 beautiful years with her. She made me a cat person (neighbours cat adopted me as well and used to come for sleepovers until he passed away too) but I can't face getting another one yet because even 5 years on I'm still raw from losing her and I know I'd never get another one the same if that makes sense? I have a granddoggy now who has almost filled the hole in my heart so it's okay. And Tabby still visits me sometimes, I've felt her jump on the bed and do her circles before flipping and I've heard her miaow at the door to come in a few times. Not sure if I'm dreaming or if its wishful thinking since it's always when I'm on the cusp of falling asleep, but I like to think as witches that's when all the good stuff happens? Xxx
Thank you so much Alison for another lovely video, really cheered me up the mention about lavender in the crack had me in stitches 😂 I think your so right trying too hard to recreate what we see online takes the magic out of everything Have a lovely weekend 🧙♀️✨️xx

I think this is part of my problem, I don't love where I live. I really belong somewhere else but due to circumstances I am stuck here, in NZ, down the bottom of the world..... No snow, no foxes, no woodlands. :(
I dont do Instagram, X, Tik Tok - only youtube, and I dont watch the news as I find it too depressing. I dont watch regular tv and much prefer to read a book.
Xxx
💚💛💛💚
Thank you so much Alison for another lovely video, really cheered me up the mention about lavender in the crack had me in stitches 😂 I think your so right trying too hard to recreate what we see online takes the magic out of everything
Have a lovely weekend 🧙♀️✨️xx
My bum crack is really not an image you want in your head but I'm really glad it cheered you up! xxx
My therapist has said even having the blinds on your windows up can make a positive difference in mood, and so I try keeping my blinds open if I don't have the chance to leave the house on any particular day
I would absolutely agree with that! It makes perfect sense xx
I think this is part of my problem, I don't love where I live. I really belong somewhere else but due to circumstances I am stuck here, in NZ, down the bottom of the world..... No snow, no foxes, no woodlands. :(
I’m sorry to hear that 😔
@fifty-somethingwitch2406 NZ is a beautiful country and I am lucky to live here, but I just don't feel like it is my spiritual home. 🙏
I dont do Instagram, X, Tik Tok - only youtube, and I dont watch the news as I find it too depressing. I dont watch regular tv and much prefer to read a book. I hate the constant ads on facebook, so hardly go on it. Getting out into nature is so important, and something I need to do more. Thanks for the tips 🤎
I deleted my accounts in the end. They don't make it easy, I had to google to find the instructions, but I can't say I miss it.
Yes! Why do they make it so hard? It's like they think you'll just give up!
You're very welcome my love. Books over TV all day long xx
