Madeline, adjust the “playback speed” to make it slower. Try the 3 dot menu in upper right screen, or some other drop down menu. I use it all the time to slow down quick talkers or dense content.

In a most general way, we can say with St. Thomas that all evil is either sin, or a punishment for sin. Sin is the most true and simple evil in the world. This means that God orders the other evils, which he did not create but nonetheless permits to exist, for the correction of sin. As for his calculus, we can speculate about how he directs these punishments in response to sins, but without special divine knowledge it would be difficult to say!
Fr. Anthony is sort of goofy and snarky at the same time, as well as highly literate (I was impressed by his reference to enjambment). I rather like him.
