I spent two years at Perkins taking Dr. Marshall’s classes. He was a big influence in me becoming Catholic. It’s nice to hear him speak after not listening to him for years. He’s such a clear communicator and easy to follow. I love it. Very focused mind and brilliant.

Thanks for discussion. I confirms for me that the fullest explication of the Holy Trinity is achieved in the TLM. Prof. Marshall refers to Eucharistic Prayer 1, The Roman Canon, but it is almost never used, except in the Latin Mass.

Hey there, a comment towards Prof. Bruce Marshall. I appreciate the idea of understanding your opponent's argument better than they might themselves. And one opportunity for you would be continue on the question- why should we discuss the divine persons before the divine essence? Then, one example of formulating that position comes from Vladimir Lossky's book "The Mystical Theology of the Eastern Church" which makes that argument. I tried to understand it but it is strictly theological and exhausts my attention. But, I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Hmmm. The way St. Thomas approached his writting was perfect. As Human, first we have to know God, second to analyized human sin and last to experience Christ to make it work . Our human nature ia to know, to analyze and to expeirnce by design. 😇

I have yet to encounter any explanation of 'consciousness', religious or otherwise, which does not incorporate a trinitarian model, explicitly or tacitly, albeit in other terms perhaps.

If I am tracking you are basically saying that the Trinity is everywhere. If so, I would agree. 3 is a miraculous number in the natural world.
