Same here. I was so hyped too, this could've been a great battlefield but this just shows DICE is long past their prime.

futuristic ambiance, nothing less nothing more, not mentally taxing, just right amount of complexity to prepare you for hours of badass combat

I like the water hitting the destroyers and the cloud thats dark but not too dark. Knowing that those boats are going to fight for a land already gone

This is exactly what I thought. Everyone hates the 2042 soundtrack. I think its absolutely amazing.

Well she is very well known for making soundtracks out of the environments that the movie or TV show or game takes place. In chernobyl she made the soundtrack entirely from the machinery sounds that the chernobyl factory had she found multiple sounds from other plants that had the same machinery as chernoyble and used them for the show

I think 2042 finally has come out to be a good game. Sucks it launched the way it did, but it’s pretty fun now.

It literally just gives you the feeling of what the story has gone through, from a battlefield fighting US and China, Russia way back in 2000s to 2009 fighting russian and taking their gold but also finishing the fight of preventing a nuclear attack. Then BF3 came in wherein a bunch of terrorist to bomb every country with a small nuclear bomb then a soldier intercepts those terrorist to stop terrorism. BF4 to stop a Chinese war on US by saving a president and Bf1, Bf5 re enactment of WW1 and WW2 then comes in a futuristic war with raging supercell storms that caused an entire war between two super powers.
Very cool theme and world settings, only shitty game design. Hope there’s an overhaul in this game. Especially with the specialist, if they can’t remove the specialist, put them in classes at least.

Was starting my game up with my dog beside me and as soon as it started playing this he kept looking at my console/TV screen while moving his head confused or something
The game may be decent right now, but it will never be good in the same way this music is good. i want this game with double the atmosphere of bf1, gritty apocalyptic future. wouldve been something so special with a lot of cultural weight. a possible world we could go to.
I Alr pre order the game but when I get to the open beta menu a QR code pops up and says I need to pre order the game or a subscription with EA

Soundtrack is made from the composer of Joker's movie soundtrack.
I was gonna go in on this but all I have to say is that its meant to be subtle not loud or in your face, just a nice ambience. They put effort into making a soundtrack.
