I bought the Samyang 135mm f2 a few month ago for £380. I don't know how it compares to the Sony Batis, but compared to my old Canon 135 f2L it blows the Canon out of the water when it comes to sharpness and contrast. Its razor sharp wide open both in the middle and in the corners. It's fully manual which may be a deal breaker for some, but if you like to focus manually (which is so easy on the Sony cameras) it's pound for pound one of the best 135mm lenses on the market.

I have 24-70 and 85 Gmaster.. been wanting the 70-200 for soooo long.. but I love me some primes.
I’m thinking one day I will get this. I have Batis & Loxia. Love the Zeiss colour, sharpness& contrast. It is light, which means I can back pack it. OLED focus distance is useful for focus stacking too. Sure a 1.8 is better bokeh but most of the time I won’t be needing that and with a 135/2.8 you can swing plenty of good bokeh anyway if you set up right.

I can’t wait for you to get the a7riii, so er can see a lot of testing with it.. I would like some af test with max fps on moving objects and low light/high iso test compared to the a6500 and maybe a7rii and a7sii :D You are doing some great stuff

Absolutely zero chance I could ever upgrade to full frame without buying the Batis 135mm the same day. It's the ultimate. Like, what's the point of owning the a7riii unless you have the Batis 135 waiting. They are twin flames....soul mates...two halves of a whole.
