It is really nice to hear this shared reality spoken out loud and in a very eloquent manner. It is nice to be understood.

Ever since I learned the truth I just can't seem to stay around people for too long when it comes to socialising or fooling around, its my first year in college and there's so many people. I have the chance to hang out and be friends with the kind of people I wanted to be with when I was younger and belonged to the earth, now I just walk away silently without making a fuss when the reason I'm there with them is over, wether that's a sport session or a general meeting. Jesus is enough, and The Word feeds my soul, thanks be to Him for providing me with these experiences and strenght.

For those who think they are better than others. Jesus wants to be around sinners like you and me. Read the Bible before you exalt yourself. God resist the proud but gives GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.- James 4:6

Amen! Pride separates us from God's grace, but humility draws us closer to Him. Let us remember that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. May we extend the same compassion and love to others that Jesus so freely gives to us. Thank you for this powerful reminder.

Much can be said of C.S. Lewis... and much of what he wrote and stood for was good and often Biblical...
However, he was a Catholic and therefore I must caution and encourage to exercise discernment...

Thank you for your thoughtful perspective. I appreciate your emphasis on Biblical discernment. May we all seek God's wisdom as we learn from fellow believers.

He became a member of the Church of England - somewhat to the disappointment of Tolkien, who had hoped that he would join the Catholic Church.

He became a member of the Church of England - somewhat to the disappointment of Tolkien, who had hoped that he would join the Catholic Church. Lewis was a committed Anglican who upheld a largely orthodox Anglican theology, though in his apologetic writings, he made an effort to avoid espousing any one denomination.
