Audio Engineer Explains How to Get Lossless Audio Over Wireless Bluetooth

- #AD Over the sixteen years of my experience as an audio engineer, I've had the opportunity to perform in bands, record, and mix them. The craft of capturing emotion, story, and experience over sound and having others share in that is truly amazing. It is also a challenge to replicate that intimacy when you hear it because of the limitations of technology and how we obtain our music.
That's why I'm thankful for Snapdragon Sound. I had a chance to go to the legendary Village Studios in Los Angeles, where they have worked with artists like Dr. Dre, Harry Styles, and Nine Inch Nails, to hear from @jpsaxe about the ways that Snapdragon Sound helps you better experience what the artists and engineers intended.
Because of Snapdragon Sound with Qualcomm aptX Lossless technology, you to hear precisely what was captured, mixed, and mastered without any loss of quality, even over Bluetooth's compression. That's like having the ability to watch a video at 4K instead of 720p!
Even if you're listening to audio that isn't master-level quality, like from a streaming service, they have developed the technology to fill in the gaps and replicate precisely what was intended in the mix without any artifacts.
So make sure the next time you listen to something, EXPERIENCE it the way the artist intended with @snapdragon Sound

~ iPhone users Left the room XD
sadly, a limited choice of phones and music players that have APXT lossless
My phone does😊
@@joelrumidi3268what device do you have?
just buy a phone that has snapdragon 8 gen 2 and a compatible earbuds
You mean most flagships?? With over snapdragon 8+? Lol if you want to complain do it with iPhone most of their phones do not support their lossless tech
😂
hey...which is best IEM earphone under $80. Sound quality and loudness is priority
Anything other than kz
@@trug2 i just ordered truthear hexa
In a previous short, he recommends the Truthear Hexa.
@@CyberWaifu i ordered that one
@@trug2I have a set of the kz zsn pro, and love them !
Everyone just copies sony without giving them any credits. From sound virtualization to sound upscaling to bluetooth codec. Go to audio settings of an ancient xperia. Or even a bravia.
I'm intrigued how different this will be to Samsung's exclusive proprietary lossless tech, and how it would improve Tidal Hi-fi master quality.
Samsung proprietary is so limiting compared to Snapdragon sound which is in way more brands, including Samsung.
@@ThisIsTechToday That's good to know.
Very pissed off with Samsung. I got the S24 Ultra and the only 'lossless' codecs are the Samsung proprietary one, or LDAC. I won't buy the new Sony earbuds because Sony's customer service burned me hard with the WF1000-XM4s so LDAC Is out of the window. I bought the Sennheiser TWM4s recently and assumed that as the S24 Ultra is basically the flagship Snapdragon phone right now that it would support Aptx Lossless... Nope, Samsung software cripple it to force people to buy their inferior earbuds.
The moral of the story is I won't buy Samsung or Sony ever again. (And yes, i know i shouldn't have assumed Samsung would support Aptx Lossless, and i know i could just buy different earbuds to the Sennheiser ones, but i liked all the reviews about the TWM4s ok?!)
i dont mean to be rude but you can get any other wireless iem or headphone with LDAC codec and the device doesnt have to be from sony.
Sennheiser is very good in customer service
so just buy a new phone 😂
??
Ldac is way much better than Aptx (sound quality)
Not true in the slightest. It has the highest bit rate, but 95% of the time can't hit that even under ideal conditions. Do some research
@@jamespayter6948 I have used both , but for me LDAC and LHDC is much better as compared to Aptx for much bettter sound quality 🗣️
Rubbish, the bit rate is far too high to keep up. Go and play on the road
Brandon I bought a pair of Bose QC ii earbuds. Will it get Qualcomm aptx lossless as it has the hardware
I would love to hear the answer
You’ll have to use a phone that has Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. Although Samsung uses the chip, they did not pay the license for APTX Lossless. Samsung Phones with SD Chips uses regular APTX Codec. Any other Android brands with SD Chips(One Plus, Xiaomi, etc) paid for APTX Lossless.
