    Best review ive seen of this bike!! Im hopefully buying one this weekend and this review has definately encouraged me to go for it. I made the mistake of buying a chinese Lexmoto...BIG MISTAKE! Left on the side of a busy road with no power wouldn't start sad times. Honda seems the way to go. Thanks dude!!

    Where do you buy your tires from? I'm having a hard time finding a matching set because of the different rim sizes. And Honda prices for tires are more than $110 for a set. thanks.

    Question to owners a Honda Lead: after your engine is heat up your temp gauge is in the middle of sclae? Mine was below (like on a video here) but after a coolant change going to the middle section. Should be like that?

    My scv 100 does between 55 and 60 mph. I find I get 60 if I use good quality oil such as Mobil 1, my bike absolutely flys on that oil

    Great video. We have this bike known here as Lead 110 in south america, but it has some small differences. The right red switch, is a blank square with no attribution. What does that do on your bike? In the glovebox, is that white thing a genuine part or is an object of yours?
    Thanks for sharing. Lead has a big fanbase in Brazil. I

      heyyy i'm from vietnam ! we have a big cult for honda Lead's here too but not as big as Brazil , the red button is to cut off the engine, it's like a quick kill switch

      Bro im impressed that someone who owns a SPORT BIKE would Also Ride a SCOOTER. Most SPORT BIKE people look down on SCOOTER in my experience. I Own a Scooter a KYMCO GTI 300, i have a short walk around Video on my CHANNEL. I Learn to Ride BIKES on a 125 CR in 1996, but im a Primarily a SCOOTER guy. Anyway informative Review bro 👍.

    @richie2nice  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    might be a bit tight. i sit on the back seat and that helps because its on the tight side for me too. the 150 might be better for you, but if you want more carrying space then deal with the tight 110 elite

    Nice. I have 6' 1.25. i am thinking about buy one for me, but im worried because i am tall. I am not sure if i will be confortable on the bike. Any thing to say about that? I will check this bike soon, but im thinking, that maybe, i should grab the honda pcx 150. Damn.. hard choice lol

    Hey, great video. Have you ever figured out why the starter doesn’t start on first push? I have the same issues. Love this scooter though.

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Average Guy the electric starter doesn’t always catch to churn up the motor. Just hit it, if it don’t start, hit it again.
      No biggie. :)

    • @psalm333worship
      @psalm333worship 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ken Weaver I actually took off the clutch cover and cleaned and lubed the starter pinion. Doesn’t do it at all now. My suggestion if anyone is having that problem. It’s easy to do

  • @bwanabwana9523

    No point in using premium fuel in a 110cc engine, it will run fine on regular gas, in fact that is what the engine is designed for

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BWANA BWANA i agree. I personally prefer 89 octane ethanol free from the local Wawa for 2.89
      I put $2 in this thing once a week and I get 100-105mpg.
      It’s rated for 107, but I sometimes go wide-open-throttle if I wanna catch a light green up ahead.

    What's wrong with the guy's commentary? It's clear and inoffensive - you could learn a lot from him, or do you need to use bad language because you can't string two words together properly, or is it the only way you can get noticed?

    Sir, thanks for nice review, but I surprised that Honda copied fully design a another brand of electric battery scooter A-one: E-scoot which is very earlier model than elite in India, might be I am not wrong if elite is newest

  • @inknbonez
    @inknbonez 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What's ur furthest you've gone in one journey? daily commute 30 miles each way ok?

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Billy Bickford i do 32miles every day.
      But I once took it to a work function the next county over.
      Did 62 miles to get there, but decided to take the scenic route along the coast to get home, and put another 116 miles on it, in one trip.
      The elite is kinda like a 1-cylinder honda civic lol. Or a fit.
      It will do whatever you throw at it. The engine is liquid cooled and fuel injected. You could drive 52mph from full to empty (about 160-170 miles) with no trouble.

    I think (In America anyway) that 2010 was the only model year. In Europe there miight be no differences

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richie DeCosta the Lead was available for years in Europe and Japan.
      The Elite 110 lasted a single year in the Americas. :(
      All the parts I buy for mine are for the Elite (handbar windscreen for example), and they fit perfectly.

  • @amadeobessa
    @amadeobessa 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice video. Dude, please, how tall are you?

  • @bcbingman1
    @bcbingman1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Richie, how much do you weigh? Trying to determine what my max MPH might be...

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bcbingman1 the Elite is speed governed at 9k RPMs.
      I weight 220 and it does 52mph.
      It is designed to hit the top speed with no issues up to 357LBS.
      This guy needs a new drive belt and a 4x10 back tire, and he’ll hit 55mph all day on this.
      You can also mess with the rollers / variator, to change your top speed and acceleration but most people will tell you Honda has the best balance already.
      Anything you do to take strain off the engine means a higher top speed at 9k RPM.
      The big back tire and the new drive belt will get ya there.

    It doesn't get cold in Florida.

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lmao it gets humid.
      You have water in the air and you’re doing 50mph without a windscreen to deflect the wind.
      At 4am in February when it is 37F and foggy, at 50mph and a hoodie, you’ll be wishing you had gloves, a coat, a full face mask helmet, and a scarf, trust me.
      Especially if you have a 32 mile commute like I do in Daytona Beach. 😏

    What's the mileage like?

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Sisung rated at 107mpg.
      I get around 100-105 unless I go wide open throttle to and from work, then I will get about 90-95mpg.
      I drive 32miles a day, 5 days a week on mine, and $2-$3 a week keeps it on full.
      $4 if I’m doing a lot of errands that week.

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, in FL, no PIP ins is required if you wear a helmet.
      For any motorcycle.
      But in FL, you need a tag, even for a 49CC.
      Electric mopeds, no tag.
      Title should be included in the price when ya buy it.
      But in FL if you ride something 51cc or higher, you need to spend $199 for motorcycle endorsement on your license.

    if it was 2 stroke it would go at least 100 mph since a polini 94cc can go 90 mph

    • @lukethekanefan
      @lukethekanefan 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      if rebuilds every thousand miles sounds good to you then yes but my Honda 125 4 stroke will do 65-70 mph but has 25,000 miles on it and hasn't needed any major mechanical work

  • @holy2730
    @holy2730 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    my 50cc does 52?

    • @kenweaver869
      @kenweaver869 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holy, bet it takes a while to get there.
      I get up to 52mph in under ten seconds on my elite.
      With a few modifications it will hit 60.
      The elite’s engine is speed governed at 9k rpms.
      You can remove that and hit 65 without modifications.
      If you do both, you can hit 70-72mph but it won’t last 35+ years like Honda Elites from the 80s.
