Sony: banns the game from being sold in countries without psn
Also Sony: “Where are all the players?”
it maintained 240k daily for two months before the nerfs. it dropped to 120k a couple weeks after the first rail gun nerf, and the week to week comprehensive nerfs of all weapons to "a new baseline" which then dropped it to 90k. After the PSN thing it dropped to 50k. People need to stop talking about the PSN thing killing the player count it literally had barely to no noticeable impact compared to the consistent nerfing of fun out of a PVE game. Find a new cope
@@DoesNotInhale Be careful to consider that past chart preformence is never guarantee of future results and its more than plausable that the game would be seing declines in players regardless of internet outrage, not to say that the internet outrage had no part in it.
So what you are saing is that geady sony refused to take money from them. Dont try to be funny if huge cash was in those markets Sony would revert this instantly. Most of people i know stoped playing due to other games and lack of real progression outside of samples and credit farming.
It wasn’t Sony who banned the countries but rather the countries themselves, their laws don’t agree with Sony’s EULA so selling Helldivers 2 now would be illegal.
@@DoesNotInhale
"consistent nerfing of fun out of a PVE game"
Now THATS cope.
Git gud.
It seems like there are two different Helldivers 2 games: The one people talk about online, and the one in reality.
Can you elaborate?
Deep bro
@@jordancollins2553 Basically, despite the sense of collective purpose Helldivers 2 provides, that being a collolaborative effort against a large contingency of seemingly existential threats, there are bugs and glitches, minor as they are, a lack of new meaningful content, and, of course, Sony nuked half the playerbase a couple of months into the game's life, forcing people to create PSN accounts to sign in on Steam. Of course, the Playstation network isn't available in a lot of countries across the world, so most of the playerbase was forced to either seek out a refund or kick bricks.
Circling back, people often flock to HD2 for its sense of community. The Reddit threads talking about monumental battles, like the defense of Malevelon Creek, the TH-cam videos covering the minutiae of the galactic war, as if it was a real conflict, the elements within HD2 which inadvertently create immersive, role-playing scenarios: It's great. However, beyond that, the game itself can be quite mundane, once the hype wears off and everything has been experienced for the first time. Especially when the inevitable toxicity sets in, what with hosts kicking people with the Malevelon Creek cape, since many were apparently annoyed so many players single-mindedly held the Creek over all other objectives. Then, Hell Divers 2's less noticeable flaws rear their head: Lack of planet variety, most likely due to the limited procedural generation, lack of soundtrack variety --- the same music plays everytime --- the mixed experience that is matchmaking, the distinct lack of enemy factions, etc, etc. Now, to be clear, none of these drawbacks are an immediate deal-breaker. I'm merely speaking from the perspective of someone who became burnt on the game after a while. However, they are still late-game problems, that only further compound upon preexisting issues. Most of the equipment, for instance, can feel extremely situational, leading to most of them being underutilized or ignored outright, most of the armor sets serve little to no function beyond aesthetic value, ship upgrades take forever to acquire --- you need dozens of common, rare, and super samples just to unlock one upgrade --- etc, etc. Most of these problems could be sorted out with time, bringing the game to new heights. That is, if Sony, to reiterate, didn't nuke most of the playerbase. They don't seem to have much confidence in this live-service project. So, it's relatively unclear where Hell Divers 2 will go from here. Currently, though, fatigue has set in, and I'm not sure the 120+ staff at Arrowhead, is enough manpower to keep up with demand. Only time will tell, I guess, but that's where we're at: Perpetual uncertainty marred by initial community idolization.
@@jordancollins2553 The people online think the game is dying because of the psn drama, but in reality its the developers killing it with nerfing all the usable guns and not fixing all the game breaking bugs that has been in the game since day one. Not to mention all the new stuff they add are all broken for several weeks before they bother fixing them.
@@jordancollins2553 The one people speak of on the internet is the greatest game ever made but in reality its just yet another live service to throw on the ever increasing pile.
The balance team didn't get the memo that this was a PvE game. It's a great way to get players to leave by just making every weapon feel weak and every mission as unfun as possible.
"The community found a weapon that works reliably and have been using it frequently, better neuter it so the next time they log in and try to kill anything they feel like they're using pea shooters, that's sure to have them coming back!"
Exactly this, we get a weapon that actually lets you have a chance during higher diff missions, better nerf it! Look at all the new weapons and strategems we have added! Too bad because the loadout never changes as it is the only thing that is effective. Seriously need to loosen up on the weapon nerfs as me and a large amount of us in a discord we played alot of Helldivers 2, it just becomes too stressful to play higher difficulty rather than feeling challenging. We just dont play anymore or play one mission and get stressed out.
doesn’t help that the hype for any future warbond which is considered premium content is deflated out the gate because we expect them to ruin anything fun or even useful within 2 to 4 weeks after something new drops
@@obamiumprime173 if everything was viable maybe people would use everything?
@@obamiumprime173 There is a reason people migrate to certain choices, instead of destroying the top choices , uplift the less used choices. When the precedent has been set that the devs prefer to nerf viable solutions instead of buffing alternatives it tells your player base exactly what they need to know. When you find something that works that you like, it will likely be taken away from you. Sounds like I should just give my time to game devs that have half a brain instead of throwing myself at a brick wall of bile titans with nothing but long cooldown strategems to deal with them.
The ban on sales in 177 countries did not immediately decrease the player base because those who purchased the game before the ban could still play. However, over time, players take a break or inevitably move on for various reasons, and new players are essential to maintain the game's player base. Without the influx of fresh blood, the number of active players will decline over time.
I live in the Philippines and been recommending the games to friends. 12 friends and family of mine want to play Helldivers but can’t buy a copy on Steam.
Maybe with a VPN? ( I am speaking from total ignorance)
For me it was the Balancing Issues, guys it's a PvE game not a PvP game we can have overpowered weapons here & the over 177 Countries that are still banned from the game because Sony wants to be Sony
The problem with this is everyone expects their primary weapons to kill hulks and punch through heavy armor. I for one believe that weapons should only be buffed it people aren't really using them. On top of that, everyone uses the same shit. Try new stuff.
@@GeekyDolphin46 Thats WHY people use the same old shit. Because nothing else is even remotely viable in the majority of cases. People dont want the guns to kill hulks, they just want their guns to not feel like absolute peashooters that do fuck all
@@GeekyDolphin46nobody expects a primary to kill a hulk but I would expect my primary AR to kill at least more than 1 or 2 berserkers without reloading
@GeekyDolphin46 WE CANT TRY NEW STUFF BECAUSE MOST WEAPONS SUCK ASS! If you aren't running a build that has options effective on all enemy types (swarms, armor, anti-air) you're gonna have a bad time. Arrowhead is so incompetent they released weapons that don't work as intended or are weaker than already available ones, then nerf the stuff that does work.
@@snarkyjoe3556 every bullet loses one dmg when it leaves the barrel for no reason. If it says 150 dmg it will do 149 so enemies with 150 hp need 2 shots
they need long term progression that is impactful and ENJOYABLE. nobody wants to farm samples while using the same loadout for the 800th time. we need more diverse scenarios that make each weapon/strat meaningful
Yeah, they did a great job translating helldivers 1 into the third person perspective but the way they make guns ends up feeling like instead of weapons customization we just get new guns with minute differences between the two. reminds me of deep rock galactic before overclocks. A fun game but there is only so much replayability you can get with such limited build variety.
Hopefully they rethink things to focus on something that will add to build variety and dynamic gameplay experiences. They have a great sandbox but it has to be a changing sandbox to keep people interested.
Unfortunately, the devs take comments like yours and say, "oh, he must want us to nerf everything! Will do!"
Also add a 3rd faction already i said at launch the game was unfinished it needed another year
I think a big error that they didn't account for was limiting super samples to the most difficult missions, while having super samples be necessary for many (if not most) of the ship upgrades.
It meant that players hit a wall pretty quickly in terms of upgrading their ships, but that's the only real long-term upgrade path that the game has. So players are forced into difficulty modes that they aren't ready for or comfortable with. Then they sought out whatever advantages they could find, and because the devs were so fixated on those missions being impossibly difficult, the whole situation went to shit.
Specially when there's so many glitches, crashes and disconnection issues standing between you and the extraction
I lost cout of how many samples I have lost to random bethesda level bs
I think I'm going to try the "don't give a fuck about obvious marketing project posed as a game" strategy, I hear it has really high penetration in the emergent spaces.

@@8bitArtist And they stopped doing this because of how annoying it was to have a favourite gun and see it get dumpstered.
It's funny as hell because now the "never nerf" mentality is being replaced with "nerfing was good, actually" in the wake of JAR and Incendiary Breakwr being so good people feel they are too oppressive of options to warrant bringing anything else. It all really is just a flat circle lmao
Helldivers 2 is one of those games I can safely say was more fun when it first came out and the few weeks after then it is today. The first few weeks were some of the most fun I've had gaming in a long time. We were overpowered, the bugs and bots were overpowered, and we clashed and it was glorious and fun. Explosions everywhere, bugs parts and bot scrap flying everywhere, getting pushed back, pushing back by dropping a 500kg. It was so much fun, that first railgun nerf was the beginning of the end. We didn't know how good we had it until it was gone.
I stopped playing Helldivers 2 when they started nerfing everything left and right and I felt I had no real solutions to the threats the game threw at me.
At which point enough was enough I just moved to other games. Only thing that will bring me back is a group of friends calling me back in and hoping I dont get to fight with a water pistol.
The nerfs have stopped, most of the weapons and stratagems that were trash got buffs, and enemy heath was reduced so if that’s the main reason you left I really recommend you give it another shot especially since there’s a major update coming on August 6th
@@Poprocks392 but the buffs didn't match the nerfs
Enemy hp was reduced but enemy density was upped at one point
I swear people talk about current helldivers 2 like it's a completely different game. I jumped back in after a month and a half of not playing and it just feels better compared to launch. Weapons still feel fine and I don't really notice any feeling of being underpowered compared to the first few weeks of playing. I can't even tell what was nerfed except the rail gun because everyone and their mother was using it with the shield at the beginning, making things really boring.

To me the current version of the game feels like the best version compared to back when all everyone was using the same loadout. I can't even say get good because i myself am not good, I just think people are already being nostalgic with Rose tinted glasses over the launch version of the game which was pretty bad.

I think I'm just done with live service models as a whole at this point realistically. Each iteration feels closer to wanting to be a full time job and it just feels a bit silly to pay someone to put in a full shift doing something. Games with an organic feeling ending point are a true treat these days.
not to mention they all come with "season pass" & premium microtransactions like it's a F2P game, but full priced so its the worst of both worlds.
They’re making real jobs look more appealing. Not gonna get a job but still, jobs looking like real life video game now. We are real life now.
This has always been my issue with survival/crafting games. There's rarely any real direction or objectives beyond "stay alive" or "build x to get y." Most of it is just wandering around until you happen upon a random objective that you knew nothing about.
I mean you're playing a live service game and don't like the fact it keeps asking you to play? It's almost like that's what they are designed to do. Far too many people go about gaming the wrong way. Don't follow the herd and play what's popular, just pick a genre you like and try out the thousands of obnoxiously good games made by smaller studios or single devs with a passion and you'll get what you want. Helldivers 2 is fun for 30 hours, after that you've seen everything that there was to see. Once you're able to solo objectives and meet players that can do the same, every mission is the same. It was the same with the first game for me, I did every mission on every difficulty, beat the faction bosses and stopped playing. In 2, I just facerolled difficulty 7 missions and decided that anything above was just a waste of time with no extra reward, so the game was done.
Don't come playing a gear treadmill like WoW and then complain it's not structured like Hollow Knight... go play Hollow Knight instead.
Helldivers 2 bored me to death, it's extremely repetitive and generic every mission is exactly the same! Not to mention it charges you $10 plus tons of hours of grinding just to unlock 3 garbage guns! It's predatory and absolutely disgusting that you people are glorifying it!
EDF 5 and the recent EDF 6 are so much better and much more fun to play! At least those games literally give me 5-10 new weapons after a 10-15 mins mission and each one of those weapons are more fun than anything in Helldivers 2! 😂
To be absolutely fair; Arrowhead still does the "surprise" thing here and there, although far more spaced out. For example we got the X4 Commando with one of the last Major Orders. They literally went "Oh hey, we just found some old tech from the first war, have fun!".
My main gripe with the game that drove me away was the fact that enemies are effectively endless and your fighting amounts to nothing. Most times you are better served endlessly running and kiting enemies, hitting the objectives and bailing which is honestly boring. If enemy presence was actually reduced by destroying bases/fabricators/nests/etc; it would feel like more of an actual war where your kills mattered and taking part in actually fighting the enemy would have some kind of impact on your mission/game.
So…what you’re saying is that you don’t like hoard shooters and was doomed to walk away from helldivers 2 from the start
Play on a lower difficulty until you get used to wiping out enemies quickly.
Also, sometimes disengaging from the fight is the best option because you're getting overrun.

Both are guilty of inciting retaliation on each other and Gwiz has in the past been a very questionable community manager.
EHHHHH... I'm not sure the SEGA lawsuit is a good thing.
Yes, the lawsuit is taking place entirely in Japan, they have their own legal system and laws and I don't know enough about them to tell you if they're the dystopian nightmare that the UK is right now... but all we're hearing from news media right now is that it's a harassment case and sadly the word harassment has become incredibly subjective these days... so we have no way of knowing if that harassment was actually straight up doxxing, death threats, constant earnest attempts to induce a suicide or whatnot... or if it's just a dude being an asshole in the more normal way saying the work produced by someone he doesn't like is garbage.
If it's the latter, then that's a slippery fucking slope, because I'll happily rant for hours and hours about how BGS Austin should have just been completely dissolved years ago and FO76 handed over to ZOS who actually stand a chance of bringing out the potential in that game while keeping it in-company. Should I get sued for expressing that opinion?... knowing BGS Austin's community management, they'd probably think so.
And if the dude actually broke pre-existing laws in regards to doing more than just slander or hurting feelings, then I feel like that at least needs to be explained rather than just "if you hurt developer's feelings then you go bankrupt"
The problem with the no market releases, was that the conversation was switching away from how great the equipment potentially would be...
Instead, everyone was discussing how it would be nerfed.
Yeah this feels too little too late. On top of the Sony PSN stuff, they always make the content no fun allowed with how they balance the game, and their PR managers are nutjobs on power trips that will ban anyone who questions their creepy interests
They should add a cover mechanic and add indoor areas where we can’t rely on stratagems but just tactics. It would freshen up the game so much mixing there’s missions with what’s already offered.
9:30 "I doubt it will be PvP. I don't think they're set up to do that." -- Oh, there's PvP. There's not supposed to be, but there is. I play one or two missions and just quit playing from being stressed out. One thing that really annoyed me about the helldivers community was every redditor kept saying “Helldivers is live service done right” even though pretty much every major problem the game has stems from it being a live service.
The thing that gathers people together to play these PVE type of live service games is simply family and friends being able to enjoy their time and play as a squad of 2 or 4 to defeat an enemy an unlock some rewards!
Im surprised they don't have a dev blog, also it baffles me more people haven't learned from DE example Warframe is literally the only live service game to last over 5 years

I haven't played in about a month and a half. I'll definitely return after the update. For me the game was just getting too stale, and honestly their philosophy of difficulty I find more annoying and superficial than actually difficult. More enemies, less visibility, environment hurts and slows you down a lot, that's the whole philosophy of difficulty in the game. This new update makes it look like they put some more thought into it potentially. We'll see how this next iteration goes.
Who would have thought that constantly nerfing everything like its a competitive game would drive a big number of players away, combined with the content that nothing new has been added, its all ported from the first game even 6 months later, and even those updates take a month to release, also having a crazy amount of bugs and crashes, seeing that they dont do anything about them or are taking a lot of time to fix them and in turn ship even more newly created bugs and the extremely repetitive gameplay loop with nothing to make you waanna login after 40 hours, its bound to die.

@@kujokage4611didn’t basically everything get buffed when the viper commando update dropped
It's called balancing.
There were literally broken weapons that would kill the game, because if things like the railgun and other weapons had stayed how they were there would be no need to use anything else.
I've actually been playing the games, and I joined after the nerfs, and all of the weapons are perfectly fine because I've seen people use every single weapon effectively.
It's a matter of adjusting your play style to each weapon and learning shot placement while also learning how to maneuver around enemies.
@@hariman7727 yeah most people complaining about the balancing don’t know what Helldivers is actually about, where they complain about dying all the time they forget about how we’re literally expendable, and if they just keep buffing other things instead of nerfing then everything just gets more and more overpowered and more and more metas are introduced. In the current state of Helldivers people use literally every single stratagem (with the exception of smoke) and load outs vary massively from group to group. If we get into an endless cycle of buffing we just become another live service game where everything became overpowered and no longer fun.
@@NoAddedWater the funniest thing about your reply is the fact that I met a guy a couple days ago who loves using the smoke strike, because it can actually destroy fabricators if you get the stratagem ball in the right spot.
I have a certain loadout of stratagems that I prefer, but even then there's times that I will change it up if there is a modifier on the mission like the orbital scatter, or on a bot command Base mission I will take the walking barrage.

@@Poprocks392 I mean technically it was in the blog but like no one read that so….
The issue with Helldivers 2 is a ton of compounding issues.
1. Constant nerfs and stupid changes. Remember when the devs wanted to change how ricochets worked and then when the Eruptor's rounds hit an Automaton shield all the shrapnel would launch back at the shooter instantly and kill them? No reason that had to happen and their fix was to remove the shrapnel from the rifle instead of revert a stupid and pointless change to a system that didn't need to be changed. Then there's the railgun nerf which drove the weapon to bottom tier. Weapons getting nerfed because they're good at one thing or another. Weapons constantly being brought down instead of raising up underperforming weapons.
2. Delusional design goals. The devs have stated before they don't want a meta. What they fail to understand is a meta always forms. Unless you have a game with 1 gun and 1 enemy. The moment you add a second gun one will be better at something (damage, range, recoil, etc) and that will change what players choose. A game with no meta is impossible and they have this insane idea that it can be done.
3. Grind. With every warbond the grind gets bigger and bigger. With every ship mod added the grind gets bigger and bigger. At a certain point players just get tired of getting maybe 10 medals on a mission when they need hundreds to get through a single warbond. So many Major Orders keep failing that they don't even serve as a good catch up mechanic for newer players either. Waiting a week just to see the MO wasn't achieved doesn't help anyone.
4. Major Orders are boring. It's always just defend planets, attack planets, kill X enemies. Nothing feels interesting and when players have attempted to do something different, take planets to cut off the automaton forces, Joel cranks up the control decay rate on the planets and the players lose. We don't get to make decisions on anything. It's like playing D&D with a bad DM, you're going to do the dungeon their way or you're going to lose. Any creativity is punished.
4.5 Bad rewards. We're never going to get the anti-tank mines. They're either put behind additional planets vs the second and far easier objective or there's just no value in them. Why take a mine field for vehicles when EATs are 70 seconds and do the job far more consistently?
5. Lack of testing. Weapons come out weak, new mission types are broken or near broken, upgrades only work for the host or only don't work for the host. The sheer amount of bugs is astounding. It's at a level that there should just be a public test server to hammer this stuff out. Yes it hurts the excitement of new thing dropping but I'd rather it work when it's available to everyone than have it drop and be broken for the first few days to a week.
6. Content drip feed. A couple weapons a month maybe isn't a good way to sustain players. I haven't played in nearly a month because there's nothing for me to do or care about. Yeah I could get the turrets target whatever you ping upgrade but I don't care. Grinding away to get orange mats isn't content, it's busywork.
7. Lack of customization and depth. A lot is missing from the game that would ultimately make it batter. Helmets having bonuses. Weapon customization with attachments like different sights, magazine sizes, and grips for recoil control. HD1 let players upgrade weapons which would help a ton. Armor bonuses are the same few bonuses done a million times already and it's boring, fan made armor mods and systems have shown a ton more depth and incentive to use stuff like heavy armor which is still lacking in value today.
8. The Sony overreach. I'm a PS player so it doesn't affect me but I also think it's absurd to see a ton of people willing to pay for the game and Sony goes "Nah, we want them to make a PSN account. If it's not available where they live then that's their problem." Quite literally leaving money on the table for a stupid reason.
9. Enemy depth. A new charger with a fog cloud isn't interesting, it sounds like a last minute design someone came up with. We need larger more impactful concepts. Think the Nemesis System but legally different to avoid WB. Automaton commanders who pick a world to make their fort and they make pushes to different planets and the worlds they attack get unique modifiers like one commander might have a tank bonus so all worlds it controls have increased tank spawns but reduced gunship spawns, or greatly increased infantry but reduced vehicles. Then the fortress world gets a special assassination mission where players fight a boss, enough completions of the mission or taking the world "kills" the commander and a new one can be rolled.
10. The engine. Helldivers 2 is built on the Stingray engine, an engine made by Autodesk and which was discontinued in 2018. Yes it's a modified engine and they have experience with it but perhaps there's a reason it was dropped 6 years ago and nobody uses it? They would be better off using a more mainstream engine like Unreal 5, it has a ton of support, there's documentation for pretty much anything so issues can be resolved very easily, and it's pretty easy to work in.
Fixing any one thing doesn't fix the others. Some aspects are potentially outside the realm of possibility of the game right now if ever.
One of the few people with common sense. The devs have massive ego problems and it showed by them thinking they could run this game on a dead engine. I quit playing and am just cynically watching, but come August 6th and 8th, that dead engine is gonna rear its ugly head and that known issues list is gonna be the size of an encyclopedia. The devs have been ignoring it and the community has been ignoring it but its about to be something that can't be ignored
I don’t think there is conflict there. Saying they eject too soon is not the same as never calling it quits.
In my opinion, what would give Helldivers a sense of wanting to play it again is definitely some kind of progression system. Either a ranked system based off of kills, revives or strategems. Perhaps a cosmetic line for killing a number of a specific elite, for example; you kill 200 bile titans, you get this unique gear. I think a yearly rank update will bring back this sense of "having the high score" in a game that's global is a cool way to keep people interested in being good at the game and playing it to their best.
Im still of the opinion that the simple boosters like Health, Ammo, and Stamina should just be ship upgrades that are always active once obtained... it lets us actually get creative and use the other boosters without loosing out on the objective quality of life those 3 boosters give you.
Ammo should be reworked so that instead of giving you full ammo it’ll give you an extra mag stim and grenade on top of your full set that way the punishment for not bringing it isn’t as heavy
I work as a User Researcher (the tech equivalent of a Games User Tester) for a large B2C retail ecommerce company. I spend a lot of time empathising with our end users and relaying their pain points and unmet needs back to the business. I’ve never felt unsafe or exposed to toxicity from our customers… that energy primarily comes from the business itself, shutting down and undermining both the end user and the value of customer feedback and user research.
But as a general rule of thumb, it’s much easier to put your head down and ignore user feedback in Tech.

They've pissed off star wars fans with battlefront, then let ubislop take over (like they'll do any better). They've pissed off Dead Space fans by canning the old studio, keeping the rights to the IP and doing f*** all with it (other than a remake when people were begging for a new game). They're pissing off titanfall fans continuing to run the franchise into the ground with apex legends (which is now a cheaters playground).
Oh, lets also not forget about the sports games they release EVERY YEAR (that they actually make themselves) that are somehow WORSE than the previous one (or do absolutely nothing new to the mechanics of the game outside of updating the roster).
I'm glad people are finally opening their eyes to the malpractice of companies similar to EA, boycotting slop left and right for once, rather than praising it for what it isn't (still waiting for the Destiny 2 and CoD fanboys to stop smoking their copium).
The problem with the way they do "difficulty" is they think more and more bugs is what makes it difficult. Also player base fell off because the original missions became stale fast and the new missions were either not fun or bugged (pun intended) out. Then it took them way too long to fix the glitched out missions, which then made the player base not want to do them. If we are really going there, they need to fix their discord community manager problems. No one wants the activists plaguing it.
"the activists plaguing it" wot
@@nattly6340 he is referring to the community managers of Arrowhead, the company that operates Helldivers 2, whom are plaguing it, which are activists. Its pretty self explanatory.
@@Coconut-219 no, it isnt, define "activist" and what they have actually done...
We need a dark world that is pitch black so you need your flashlight.
We also need indoor objectives that you can’t use stratagems
Let's hope they bring it back up to launch levels of players.
Let's not because they barely could function with it
To 400k? Never
Game is trash now compared to what it was on release
Even if they added the Illuminate and fixed every single bug, I doubt they would get close to their launch numbers. Too many things have soured the game's reputation at this point.
Tunnel missions, loot we can extract and customize our ship. We need a seaf mode (no orbitals with 8 player squad). Space battles with the illuminate. We need a vote system in game so the community can plan on which systems to take next. Helmets need to change your stats. And they need to fix the kill number issue. More options and customization for the exo suit the ability to swap out weapon on each arm would be great and if you have as Rover on you with an exo suit there should be no reason why it can't protect you while inside.
Plot events like a Super Earth battle won't bring people back en masse if they don't shake up the actual gameplay. They need new enemy types, new guns, new planet types, new mission types etc., and they need to roll out several of these at the same time to move the needle.
3 of the 4 things you mention are in the update.
@@HasekuraIsuna yeah I'm aware, I'm an active player - they just need a lot MORE of it.

actually been enjoying Helldivers 2 again recently jumping in with the boys an the new update is keeping us excited
Where did all the mfs who told me Steam would have the game up again on all those countries in a matter of weeks go to?
I hope that at least they are enjoying the taste of sony juice
They're too busy hyping up another mediocre update to the game
Send your complaints to Sony instead of whining here to people who can't do anything.
Treats their entire costumer base as subhumans and publicly condemn people in gaming for guilt by assosiation or by gender/skin color with the backup of games media. "oh no people are more toxic towards game devs", gee I wonder why, shocked pikachu much.......... you treat your costumers and fans as disposable subhumans, you get them acting like disposable subhumans. Its a two way streat.
I quit Helldivers because they never really fixed the primary weapon issue. They "buffed" some guns that made them do barely any better. It felt like they were only nerfing players and buffing enemies and I just stopped enjoying the game. Funnily enough I have returned back to Warframe.
a new plan? is it to give the non PSN countries the game back, if not my bad review stays and the game stays uninstalled
Same!
That’s between Sony and Steam, not arrowhead
Helldivers 2 bored me to death, it's extremely repetitive and generic every mission is exactly the same! Not to mention it charges you $10 plus tons of hours of grinding just to unlock 3 garbage guns! It's predatory and absolutely disgusting that you people are glorifying it!
EDF 5 and the recent EDF 6 are so much better and much more fun to play! At least those games literally give me 5-10 new weapons after a 10-15 mins mission and each one of those weapons are more fun than anything in Helldivers 2! 😂
@@doomslayer9513 did you just sleep though the other predatory shit other devs do or are you just a troll?
@@Battledongus He is copy pasting that comment on every other comment. Don't bother and just report for spam.
Helldivers 2 needs player progression and to settle on a balance philosophy. One thing is clear, guns and stratagems feel bad to players Especially at higher difficulty. One thing I think might be nice would be dropping in with your heavy weapon and backpack as armory selections instead of strategems.
Imo there's a disconnect between how the devs want their game played and how gamers want to play it. Honestly, at the end of every mission there should just be like five questions " how could this mission have been more fun" you can answer for an extra medal. Like more or less static enemies, more or less patrols, enemy diversity felt good or bad, objective diversity was good or bad, my weapons/strategem felt too strong or weak, etc. and give it a one to five stars lol.
Still disappointed in the devs. Disappointed in the terrible unnecessary nerfs and the fact that player's lost access and still don't have access.
They ruined their player numbers and it's never gonna get better. Would like to come back some day, but I doubt that'll happen :/
In my first 2 weeks I had 70 hours on helldivers and the automatons fell
I've given up on warframe, they always show the potential of gameplay mechanics but perpetually move to the next thing instead of building on the last thing. It's just created so many islands of content and it's become miserable.
I liked Railjack and the void, but they just released them then moved on instead of doing what they should've done and integrated this new cool gameplay mechanics into the rest of the game, but no, just another island and onto the next
I agree. Another thing I find incredibly tiresome is Archon shards. As soon as these limited availability weekly stuff gets added to a game I dip. I am not interested at all in being kept in an arm bar like that. That they doubled down on it with hybrid shards boggles my mind. Buhbye.
I don't believe helldivers 2 war is endless. HD1 wasn't but maybe its gonig to go on for a long time and with each restart would come more content and narrative of the war appear in the matches. What could improve the game tho is meaningful changes to objective gameplay, which they are adding 1 of in the update (becoming a walking breach spawner). I hope to see the train transport mission and a high difficulty rare abomination hunting mission. Also more meaningful terrain mutations and enemy modifiers that make you consider the gear you bring.
They made incredibly bad decisions with their community/mod team, they wildly suppressed the discord, and people left and will not come back.
Honestly if they had a real freedom unbound update where they reversed every single player side nerf ever I would come back. That game was fun once before they just started wildly swinging the nerf bat at anything that worked well.
A day late and a dollar short.
2 weeks early and begging for your parents' money.
Stop expecting miracles and actually play the game.
