So this is where it all ends….. All my life (54 yrs.) I have listened to drummers. And I have seen them all: Bozzio, Weckl, Donati, Phillips, Colaiuta but also furious hardhitters as Hoglan, Hunting and Lombardo. And I always kept wondering who was my real favourite. Each one had specific pro’s and cons, so I was never sure. But yesterday I saw “Through the fire and flames” by a Japanese girl named Junna and I was blown away. So I checked some other videos, I ran across this one and I knew my search was over.
This is drumming as I want it to be: a nice groove, thundering rolls, furiously beating and having the time of her life. In the big house called “my drummer heart”, the main room is now taken.

she has the exact energy as Roger had in their LIVE SHOWS in the 80s and i love it so much, she never disrespects the original drum beat by adding too much but she also does her own things

Agreed there are plenty of drummers more skilled, she wouldn't fit in every band, she's chaotic, insane but somehow it works. But that sheer joy on her face, like the she hasn't a care in the world. You get this feeling that she would be exactly the same playing for herself in her room as she would playing for a stadium. She just loves playing. It's a joy to watch
I cannot get enough of this little GENIUS! Junna tears it up. Not only is she an incredible drummer but her expressions playing make it so much more entertaining! Love this girl!!!

凄いわ。今までの曲みたく派手に手数を入れれば良いってタイプじゃ全くなくて情緒がなくちゃ話にならないこの曲のドラムを見事に叩いてる。各パーツの叩き方、ミュートのさせた方音がバーンて余り広がない様にタイトに絞ってたり音量も細かく叩き方で調整出来てる。

全体にすごいエネナジーでぐいぐい攻めていく感じだけど、ヴォーカルが歌い上げる部分とかでは、ちゃんとシンプルな8 beetを叩いて曲全体を後押しする。
センスもいいし、よく計算されていると思う。

I love this so much! Watching her play is like watching a Rally car at top speed. It looks out of control but there is so much precision. Her timing and technique is on point, and I love the little face she makes :D Looks like she's having a lot of fun.

したのは初めてです、ありがとうございます。
私ももうすぐ60歳になりますが、この数週間、彼女の演奏のとりこなっています。あんなに見事な、そして楽しそうなドラムの演奏は想像したこともありません。調べてみたら彼女ほどの演奏テクニックには達していませんが、将来が期待できる少女ドラマーがいました。Yoyoka むらたたむ Kanade Sato Senri Kawaguchiの4人です。どの娘も楽しそうに演奏してます。
外国の娘ですが、Mia Morris 13-years old も良かったですよ。

I have followed Junna few years now, but this one I had missed somehow. She is such a character. So passionate and amazing player. Junna is definitely one of my all time favorite drummers with Jukka Nevalainen, Jaska Raatikainen, Dave Lombardo, and few more.

This the most BADASS playing i've ever witnessed ever. And, her Druming playing upon this Queen Song. It's more beyond flawless. Her tempo, her aquracy. It's just perfect. Maybe the original song it doesn't mean on that way. But her version it's just beyond perfect by any means.

As an absolute Queen fan who is extremely difficult to satisfy with Queen covers I gotta say - that was absolutely amazing, you nailed it, Junna! Now and then I come back to watch and enjoy Junnas cover videos - and I'm really grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her in person on Fate Gears European tour where she plays (July 2023) as a guest drummer. She is such a humble and friendly person! And nobody would imagine just by meeting her and have some short conversation, that she is such an immensely talented world class heavy metal drummer!
