You brought the vivid sorrow of her childhood to life, but gave us the strength, beauty and breath of her incredible spirituality. You showed us Bakhita's extraordinary journey from a once tortured soul to her unyielding faith, and her final surrender into blissful eternity. An outstanding reenactment and narration of a most holy woman predestined to be a saint for all times.
@@voceval1 Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching the video! This one was for you. Thank you for giving me the impetus to do this video. She was on my list of ideas, but I actually knew nothing about her. Then I had the dream of a Black woman lying in my yard suffering, and a couple days later you suggested doing a video on Josephine Bakhita. In my research I found out that she said she would come in our dreams if God would let her! It's all too uncanny! I'm glad you like the video. I hope she does too! 💙
I thank you for this emotional yet beautiful journey into this saints life. The story and images just flowed and were beautifully in sync, that I kept thinking how did she do this. The work that must have been involved in putting this together is just inspiring, and it's evident you were spiritually guided. Not only is it the story of Saint Bakhita, but also a history of the nations and people involved, the clergy and the church of that time and era. But most of all it was done with such reverence to Bakhita, that I believe she herself would be awestruck at this beautiful depiction of her life.
@@voceval1 Thank you once again! Yes, it was a lot of work, right down to the wire before I posted it. Took me about a month, with life sometimes getting in the way. I tend to be really picky about getting everything right, bc I don't believe in churning out a lot of fast junk. But I was happy with the outcome. I'm just glad when other people get enjoyment and edification from these videos. That's all that matters! ❤
This is a riveting history of a profoundly pious woman who overcame multiple abuses by self serving individuals. Her virtues are heroic indeed and must be extolled and emulated. Saint Josephine Margaret Bahkita pray for us.
I once knew a nun who took the name Sister Sarto and up to 38:44 kept saying “I know that name. I know that name. How do I know that name?” Then St. Pius X appeared. Funny how saints keep company with saints. Thank you for this lovely story with such amazing visuals, a work of art each of them. So, so sad we know the name of the white saint but not the black one. A hundred years later we get to hear her Marvelous Story. Bless us, St. Josephine, and free the bondage of minds so we may work to free all and end human trafficking worldwide.
I know what you mean about saints "traveling in packs" -- I thought the same thing! LOL. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. ❤I did not know much about St. Bakhita until I started research for this video. But actually, the book about her came out in 1931, and apparently, she was very well known in Italy at the time. The story of how I came to do this video is a little uncanny. About 6 weeks ago, I had a dream of a Black woman who was lying in my back yard, and seemed to be suffering. I didn't know what it meant, but two days later a viewer suggested I do a video on St. Josephine Bakhita. I'd had her on my list of "possibles," but really didn't know anything about her. I was attracted to the idea, and started my research to do the video. While reading about her, I came across her words that after she was in heaven she would "come in our dreams" if the Lord allowed her. I believe she wanted this video done. I hope it pleases her.
What a wonderful story of her love for God, what a difference life St Josephine had at the hands of fellow humans God help them another St I will pray to for help 🙏🙏🙏

Beautifully narrated. As an African and black, I am one of those who gets irritated when people always look for a reason to be seen as a victim. We are all created in the image and likeness of God so we have no excuse. Her life is a perfect example of how you can overcome
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I agree with your sentiments about St. Josephine Bakhita. Her refusal to spend her life in self-pity and bitterness is truly admirable. I don't know if I ever would come even close to that degree of forgiveness and fortitude. But then, that's why she's a saint! 😁❤
