When I was about the foreman's age in the late 80s, my dad replaced our houses 2 toilets with the new "low flow" models. He wasn't sure if the garbage men would pick up 2 toilets on the side of the road, so he looked at me and asked, "Do you want to smash these to pieces with the sledge hammer?". The answer was of course "YES!". So we flattened out the boxes the toilets came in and went to town smashing them to tiny pieces that we could then put in a can for them to haul away. I haven't thought of that in a looong time but watching the foreman demo that wall brought that memory back.

I am very disappointed. It is almost offensive to see things being destroyed like this, turning them into useless rubbish when they could have continued their useful life for much longer. They could have been given away or even thrown away without being destroyed.
Really would have been great if you had donated all those work tables to a local woodworker. Im sure they would have really loved some decent equipment to work off of, instead of throwing it all away.

Well as Winston once said "Perfection is the enemy of progress" so I would define what/why you are changing your shop, I see your primary product as Videos. So my first steps would be to think of this space as a video studio. So first for me would be lighting which thanks to LED lighting heat generated by reaching levels high enough to achieve light levels needed to achieve professional results and film at speeds and depth of fields while producing even high intensity shadow free lighting necessary for quality video production, next would be positioning of props(equipment) allowing for best angles for filming, I would continue along these lines of not trying for woodworking efficiency but rather an area that makes story telling using videos as the main focus and not production of finished projects. In this manner you will end up with firstly the best you can design video studio that focuses on video first and useability while being taken into account is secondary. Like horsepower, for filming there is never too much lighting or too many useable filming angles and it's always far easier to dim or move a camera rather than having shadows or not getting the best shots for what you are filming.
