I finally grew older and bought a tank, I remember seeing your video back then on the low budget reef tank thing. Lmao I even remember u posting about your son being born or sum. I randomly remembered your channel and took my a while to find it but I’m glad u still post good videos 👋
Little advice, with Walt Disney acros get the aquacultured the wild ones RTN pretty much 80% of the time. I have a 20 gallon Walt Disney only reef experimenting with different morphs. I talked with Bahama lama about this and have a frag of his and after experiments Aqua cultured has a very high chance of life. Also there’s many many morphs I’ll be fragging soon and creating a Walt Disney acro only website. I’ll send u one of my best colorful colonies Frag for free bc ima fan ;) let me know if your interested in that love to see a frag grow to a beautiful colony in ur tank
Nice video... Thank for showing the Smithsonian... Brings back memories.. Hehehe I've worked there for two weeks.. As an abroad scientist.. Hehehe awesome 👍🙏
I personally mount vertical because that’s how the frag is cut. I don’t want to glue down over healthy coral tissue. At the end of the day I don’t think it’s going to affect growth in the long term.
Congratulations on the 2nd child! My first is currently about 3 months away from making her debut. That golden rod was looking great. Unfortunately none of my lfs keep sps so I’ve never had a chance to really get much. Keep up the great work.
Very nice custom piece of rock made by Aqua rock. It’s definitely gives some nice depth to the rock scape. The corals and fish are looking good Mok-yi 👌
That big tang loves to follow you around. I haven’t been there in years but I have pictures of that tang following me around. I would have loved to have had him in my tank.
Congratulations to you and your wife! Its nice to see someone so close to me area wise! I grew up in Glen Burnie MD but now live in NOVA. Im just getting into SPS. Do you have any videos on your practices or what you do to keep sps happy? . . . New video? 😁 anyway congrats again! Beautiful tank!
A File fish is probably a better bet than the shrimp. My shrimp didnt remove anything. I hope you manage to get rid of the aptasia. You have a beautiful tank.
Hey man love the new rock keep killn it my friend and congrats on the incoming reefer lol hope all goes smoothly for you guys!! One question where did you get the golden rod from its beautiful and have never seen that b4? Sorry if I missed it in your videos I’ve seen 98% of them 🤣🤘🏻 KEEP DOING you my friend .. EMERALD COAST REEFER
Berghia will wipe them out for good! You only honestly need a few, as they multiply like crazy in a short amount of time. I did multiple file fish, and all the other stuff, but nothing, nothing was a permanent solution like the berghia! Don't worry if you don't see them. They get in the pipes, and literally everywhere.. Full solution.. Congrats to you and the wife also!
Go see Llemonz (wamas) tank in Severn. Best sps FRAG tank I've seen in the dmV. Lyn reef nerd has a video named "Bryce's peninsula" on yt. I mean Jason Fox is in Baltimore. You could go see it. There is also dipg (wamas) has a spectacular tank I saw when he was breaking up his 3 ft green slimmer(for free). It's best set up I've seen in the area.
I've been thinking about it.. though in the refugium, the aiptasias are growing on the macros (some floating), not sure if the Nudis could get to them 🤔
Oof, that makes me nervous.. I'm probably going to leave it since the whole thing is already in the tank, my powerheads are not turned up super high though and it has the wide flow guard, perhaps certain coral would still do fine in front of it. I will experiment!
Pricey but I grew to like it. Initially I got it because it could pair with the Kasa power strip that does < 1 min ON time so I could feed tiny amounts in more frequency; but now that's no longer necessary since I feed more than 1 min at a time. I think a good ol Eheim feeder paired with a feeding ring may work just as well (bonus if you could drop the food in the sump right above the return pump), but considering the Plank's holding volume, ability to crush flake before feeding, and general reliability and controllability, I think it's great. Though it is still pricey.
Reasons why I prefer the PomPom Gracilaria in my refugium… slow and steady growth and no risk of it going sexual. Can tumble it too to keep the refugium free of detritus. 😊
You have to check out Andrew sandlers home in old westbury ny he has insane home exhibits he does tours on the weekends I could definitely see you showcasing his main aquarium look him up he has a TH-cam channel you won’t be disappointed and he’s a super nice guy. I think you’d be pretty interested in his system for his aquariums truly something remarkable to look at.
I've been following his insane system, especially now that he has been adding corals! I didn't know he was open to home tours since he is pretty high profile. I will try to reach out, thank you for the suggestion!
Dream State Living recently collab with Zoa Tank Boyz on a video. You should do one with her on the next video. Please make it happen. She is waiting for your answer.
That Bernard will blast anything it can touch be careful. I have seen 5 inch plus sweepers coming out of mine trying to reach other corals. I was stupid ( because it was marked as a ST Goni) and let it encrust all over a main rock in my tank and now I am screwed. You can’t kill that stuff and it keeps getting closer and closer to some acros! It encrust’s like a montie and you can’t break it off the rock and I have taken bone cutters to it and just Mangled the hell out of it and it just healed up and came back. Vendors need to rename this stuff ASAP!! Goni’s grow in a ball and most don’t sting anything and super easy to move or frag. Bernard is almost the complete opposite and once it takes hold it’s no bueno! I don’t know how to stop it if anyone on here can help. Gonna squirt some boiling water on it out of a syringe to be precise and not boil anything else to see if that works. Seriously if anybody can help me deal with this stuff and kill it back please let me know! I’ll send picts! Or search you tube for my channel you can see videos of it.Such a nice orange color though very pretty and makes the rock wavy when the polyps are out
Man, thanks for sharing your experience. I had that rock out of water and did notice the encrusting was pretty extreme (skeleton laid pretty flat against the rock, and spread quite a bit). I will keep an eye on the direction of growth to make sure this coral does not reach other larger rocks. Thank you for sharing your info! Could you get your rock out of the tank? Hammer + chisel? That's my go to for any rock that I could remove out of the tank these days...
@@InappropriateReefer unfortunately I could not implement the Inappropriate Reefer Hammer and chisel technique because the rock is a main support so it will be a mess taking everything out. The acro have glued the rock together with their encrusted bases. Thanks for the reply brother and as always thanks for the vid!! Congrats on the second baby on the way! I do not miss that level of tiredness I was with both of mine but that’s what it’s all about right? Having little ones
Man the rock is cool but your gonna get algae like a beeeeezy on that stuff. I have a nem rock from them and it’s legit a algae magnet. No algae I’m my tank at all but on the aqua rock.
The DC aquarium is gorgeous. But too bad it is over run by asterina star fish. They are the worst pest. I think there must be 10,000 of them in the tank.
I finally grew older and bought a tank, I remember seeing your video back then on the low budget reef tank thing. Lmao I even remember u posting about your son being born or sum. I randomly remembered your channel and took my a while to find it but I’m glad u still post good videos 👋
Congrats on your 2nd kid! 恭喜曬!😄
Thank you for featuring the DC aquarium. Beautiful old established tank that is worth making people aware of.
Thank you for your business! so glad you love your Aquarocks !
Are they porous rock?
@@Motty24601 They are not . They are resin based and have a textrurized surface but are not porous
Thank you once again for your amazing products! 🙏 I saw that Lynn also got some great pieces from you 😝
@@supafly201 thank you for the speedy reply they look great and I'm sure they'll look even better loaded with coral
Any coupon?
2nd kid coming!?
Congratulations! Frags= diaper money 😆
Great video.
Thank you Chad! 😎🙏
Congratulations on the incoming baby!!
If you haven’t been, Shedd aquarium in Chicago is superb!
This is so amazing. DC aquarium is absolutely mesermizing! Thank you so much for filming to share!

I really enjoy watching these videos. I’ve only been in the hobby for 2 years and you make everything seems so simple. Great work.
Love all your update video.
Great vid!! Congrats on baby #2!
Thank you Jack! 🙏
Sweet looking piece. Love the end result. Enjoy the rest of your day
Always fun to watch your videos
Thank you! 🙏
I've been watching since the 45 gallon. Glad to see things are going good!
Looks like that yellow tang ate a bristle worm @ 8:46 maybe ? It sure looks like it to me. Awesome vid!
Congrats! If your ever in Columbus Ohio you should check out the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. It's an 88,000-US-gallon tank.
Oh BTW, it was a good opportunity to vacuum the gravel in the area before you put the new rock in. Usually tons of crud underneath the rocks.
anddddd I forgot to do that in my excitment, lol.
Congratulations!
Congratulations my friend, doing amazing man hope the best for you🥳
That og bounce is massive!😲😍
A file fish worked well for me in the DT and peppermint in the fuge. Only problem is the peppermints will eat pods in there as well.
good to see you upload again!

Love the video's miss the weekly uploads

Tanks looking awesome man. Good to see your sps are doing well that’s not easy in a mixed tank

Looking good 👍🏾
Congrats!!!! On your 2nd baby!

Thank you! Hope I could still pump out these 30s after #2 😎

Watch out, that cocoon looks like someting from Invasion of the Body Snatchers!
😂
appreciate the longer videos!!!
I appreciate you for watching longer!
Hey dude r u using the diffusers For the radions?
Good Job, I.R.
If it's something that's gonna take off like a green slimer I go vertical, on it's side if it's something that's gonna encrust before going
Looking good!
copperband butterfly for aptasia, but difficult to keep
A File fish is probably a better bet than the shrimp. My shrimp didnt remove anything. I hope you manage to get rid of the aptasia. You have a beautiful tank.
Whenever you decide to sell I’ll buy the RBT

When you had your 45g did you ever spot feed your pistol shrimp or did you just blanket feed the tank?

Also graham in Baltimore is a legend. Gws on wamas but I'm sure you already know him. Duke is my go to in silver spring.
Thanks 🙏🏾
The aptasia is in the plumbing and everything. Never gonna get rid of it. That refugium is a perfect place for a nudi breeding farm.
I've been thinking about it.. though in the refugium, the aiptasias are growing on the macros (some floating), not sure if the Nudis could get to them 🤔
possible to mount the frag sideways on a tiny spot of glue and 2 holes with a fishing line noose?
What light bar did you use
U can cut that branch off in in front of power head and use that in another place. What I would do . Use a Dremel.
Oof, that makes me nervous.. I'm probably going to leave it since the whole thing is already in the tank, my powerheads are not turned up super high though and it has the wide flow guard, perhaps certain coral would still do fine in front of it. I will experiment!
Love your content & reef, may I ask about the dimensions of the 45g??
All the homies love AquaRocks
how do you like the plank auto feeder after having it for awhile
Pricey but I grew to like it. I had aptasia all over my tank and 1 aptasia eating file fish cleaned it up in2.5 weeks!!!! James Fisher

I think you gotta try with an aquarium that size he should be happy 😃
Some Christmas tree worms would look very nice in ur tank.
I have a small rock of these fellas on the left side of tank! I fear for the worms though since I have a Melanurus Wrasse... (seems OK so far)
@@InappropriateReefer I have been watching u for awhile, did did not know that. By the way love ur channel and u DA MAN!!
Does anyone know where to get the GSP without white heads?!
I have so much ultra green GSP (without the white heads) and it’s just going crazy I want to get rid of of it.
Dude what is that sucker fish!!! I never seen that I’ve looked up on internet nobody says it exists

Why oh why do you put frag plugs in your display tank. So ugly. Even when they grow over you can see them. Love your videos by the way.
Much easier than having a grow out system, he actually has an actual job you know.
Figure they'd be much easier to remove for fragging, at least until they encrust over the rock! (Thanks btw! 🙏)
Poor clowns you took there home away
Normalized does not equal normal.
Why you still wearing a mask ?
Another prerecorded voice over stream? We need actual live stream!
Let me try to sneak an actual livestream in before the next video 😝
