Tools that I used. saw, spokeshave, drawknife, hatchet, marking gauge, chisel.
Also used sawbench, shavehorse, and bench vice.

This seems a really nice result with little effort! Do you also have a piece of advice on what wood species to use and also if the wood should be green or dry?

Any hardwood would do, oak, maple, hickory, dry would be best.
