    I see that a lot of EDS patients have had mold exposure. I recently learned what I believe is the connection between mold and the collagen degradation. I'm glad you found your recovery. I will be exploring more of what you are doing. Exploring trigger points is new to me. It makes sense that if the ligaments are not supporting the skeleton, that the brain causes the muscles to kick in and help. Thanks for sharing your recovery.

      Thank you for appreciating my recovery story. I lived in a moldy home for years. My son was also triggered into illness during this time. I never did anything specific to address the mold exposure. In my experience, once the trigger points are managed, the body is able to heal from almost anything. The only thing that continues to worsen for me personally is my teeth. I think it’s from chronic dehydration, stress, and grinding due to tension and TMJD. I hope to get access to good TMJ treatment eventually.

    Thank you so much for this!! Recently diagnosed with EDS but have had Fibromyalgia for years, among other diagnoses. I’ve known my trigger points were an issue but didn’t realize they could be driving the symptoms, wow! Am going to check out the links, I somehow just intuitively feel the is the way forward for me. 🤗❤

    I was excited to hear you say your thumb doesn’t bend back. Mine never has and doctor after doctor would grab my thumb, try to bend it backwards, and tell me “ you don’t have it.” My DNA said that I do have it.

      EDS is a challenging condition to manage. There are many ways to try though! Bodywork including massage and physical therapy are highly effective when you have the right providers. There is also a supplement approach to management known as the Cusack Protocol. I manage with massage, herbal medicine, and select supplements. It’s not perfect but it helps. I hope your daughter finds the support she needs to manage and even thrive! Take care.

    I'd say eating an optimal diet, plenty of fresh foods, veg + necessary protein (animal or not) plus keeping fitness level good via gentle regular exercise that doesn't injure you is the base of health. Whatever you can do to keep fit uninjured is a huge benefit. Isometric exercises can help alot if you have pain.

    What a great recovery video, I'm really enjoying your content and cant wait to give your practices a try. I'm eagerly awaiting your next video. I hope you do a video where you talk about all of your life traumas, I think it could reach a lot of people.

      I would likely need to produce a whole series to chronical the traumas I have endured in this lifetime but I will consider approaching the subject and sharing some of the things I’ve overcome. I would be very happy to share what has helped me to process and release my trauma. Thank you for the support and the suggestion! I appreciate both very much.

      @@KaylaDuncanLMT I am using my husband’s account to comment. I too would love to see a video on how or what you did to heal your trauma issues. I have all of the same health issues that you do. I have been chronically ill for 27 years. My body has been stuck in fight or flight for so long, that it doesn’t know how to get out of it. I have tried numerous modes of trauma release therapies and techniques, but all to no avail. It’s so frustrating. Thanks so much.

      I completely understand all of this so much! I could tell that my nervous system was stuck. It was incredibly frustrating and very damaging to my body. Trigger point massage will definitely help begin the process of escaping fight or flight mode. Check into the curalistic program! You can listen to the audio book for free and start the program right away. I personally also did trauma release counseling. I will work to create content that details the techniques that I used to manage. Thank you for letting me know that this would be valuable to you. Here is the link for curalistic. Start here for sure! curalistic.org/sto-handbook/

    Do you still get plugged ears? Both TMJ and cervical instability can cause that, but also can be from Mast Cells from MCAS and Mastocytosis.
    hEDS often comes with AAI/CCI and Mast Cell issues which often causes inflammation and itching in the ear, nose and throat passageways.
    If you get dermatographism/ Darier sign (raised red/pink lines caused when you run thumb nail across skin, usually more noticeable reaction on back or upper arms) then it is possible to have mast cell involvement.

    Hi, congratulations on your video. I wanted to ask you or others too, is it normal to have tightness in the chest especially after eating? Difficulty breathing but I feel like it's more of a muscular thing than a respiratory thing, thanks (like suffocating and a lump in the throat). I'm hypermobile with a little bit elastic skin, but I don't know if I have EDS (I only have muscle problems like this and I haven't had any joint pain or any surgery at the moment). This symptom fades towards the evening and between meals.

    how does releasing trigger points reverse eagles? eagles has to do with calcification of the styloid ligaments, and the etiology is unknown, i think.

    • @KaylaDuncanLMT
      @KaylaDuncanLMT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The elongated styloids are a perpetuating factor for trigger points in the digastric muscle and other muscles of the jaw and neck. Active trigger points need to be treated or they will cause progressive issues. Managing the TP’s caused by me having Eagle’s helps me manage the Eagle’s. Hope this helps.
