Realizing BC is in Scott's Valley, I've been on those roads in a variety of cars and motorcycles... It's fun to watch this video and enjoy an awesome Porsche... I've got to visit the Museum... Thank you for this...
I had a 3.2 Carrera in LA for many years. Never had a problem with the factory a/c. Still, agree this is a cool build. Let’s hope the days of backdating these cars are over. They should be appreciated as the great cars they are (middies, SCs, and 3,2s).
When did Dave Franco start working for Audrain? I keeed, I keeed! Love the video. Now I know why John Ficarra speaks of Bruce in hushed and reverent tones! Wow. I never realized what I found off-putting about most 911 restomods until Bruce nailed it in this video. I still love me some 911K though! But this is the 911 I need. A daily driver that is safe, balanced, and a blast to drive.
Great driving video. Anywhere we can learn about the build? Be curious to hear what the suspension setup is as that seems to be the big differentiator. Did Canepa stick with torsion bars or is this a coil over car? And still would love to hear about the engine, transmission and all the details that make this so great.
BC has been around a looong time...he knows the product..Porsche.......but is it me or is he throwing jabs at Singer....I mean they are two different beasts!!!!!!! Singers were 300k or so new, a long time ago when they began...now over 800 ez for used "classics models".....newer ones are millions.......and so many others have jumped on the bandwagon........911's have been modified for decades but Singer created a whole new level.. This red targa is nice..but how much?....he may find a niche market here.......under 300k or so?......for a modded 911?.......for folks that cannot afford singer gunther etc etc... but still this car for 175-200 is nuts to me
💯 not sure why he is punching up, maybe trying to attract customers? Just like the clickbait thumbnail. If you have to badmouth your competitors to make yourself look good, then your products are lacking substance. Work on that instead of focusing on others.
@@AdamJayTechnoElectro this is the guy that brought the 959 to the states for friggin Bill Gates. Do not think he is lacking customers. Singer is nouveau rich.
I like what Bruce has done. The mirrors look goofy but other than that, this is what a period Porsche should look like. It's too bad the car is actually a rebuild and not a street survivor. Then again, older Porsche's don't age well so that is to be expected I guess.
This is not ruining. This is a proper, period-inspired hotrod. Could've been built in the 80s. Gunter, Singer are ruining perfectly fine cars. Bruce rules and has more knowledge and history in the Porsche game than we can ever attain.
If you knew anything about cars, you’d know that Canepa has been racing Porsches for years, including really fast stuff like 917s. Pretty sure he can pedal.
@@craigyirush3492 Then you would know Norbert Singer , where the name Singer comes has been one of the key Porsche engineers on most of the Porsche's that Bruce has been involved with ? Norbert Singer was also a consultant on the Singer DLS . So I'm sure Rob Dickinson listened to his input during the development process ! So for Bruce to say or imply that Singer vehicles are for show , and don't handle would just be jealousy ! Sure Singer vehicles are not cheap but development cost money, and they are using some of the best people and companies in the business! I may not know anything , but i know a little.
See Jay and Donald drive this car as well! th-cam.com/video/vQ89hCc8qSE/w-d-xo.html
More Canepa test driving footage would be amazing! So much knowledge and passion behind what Canepa builds. Spectacular
He's the best!
Holy cow. I can tell how special that car is just by listening to it!
Great two episodes with Bruce Canepa. Thanks Ben
@@jofido We hope for more in the future, Bruce is a fun hang! Thanks for watching!
A fantastic cruise with Bruce on the roads around Scott’s Valley…!!!!

Yep me too in the mid 80s. Lots less traffic back then and fewer pot holes :)

@@ianhardin1148 We can see the resemblance.😆 Glad you enjoyed! We also love the 911k and hope to experience one, but this car is absolutely perfect.
So Singer has the chassis set up incorrectly causing some handling issues?...Rob, Chris H , any comments?..
Cool Amundo 😎
Great Little Porsche 👍😎👍
We love driving it! One of our favorite cars in the collection
Substance ! This car is an antidote against superficiality. So homogeneous ; masterpiece 👍👍👍
Canepa looks so much like the late Jimmy Buffet, holy cow. Great car! Fun drive.
Can we get a porsche resto mod build off competition. canepa 959 singer 964 guntherwerks 993 etc etc.
Love it! Hold the seat grommets please for my order.

the car and the builder were great to watch....enough said.

Bruce still working with the Fj company ?
I'm about to start building my fj43 would love his advice on that

Part of me says stop R U I N I N G these old Porsches but another part of me says hell yes. We need more of Bruce’s builds
If it was an all original car then we'd say to be more gentle! This specific car is fully built out and has a 4.0L in it, so it's made to run

This was a great video. Can you tell me how much that car would cost?
The perfect machine.
Thanks for enjoying the video!
yep!

How much? $$$
I thought that was Jimmy Buffet
seats look awfully familiar to a Singer 🧐
They are, we had an extra set from the Singer we own!
… Less .. is soo much Mooar
Chris Harris drives the Singer like he just robbed a bank , this guy drives the targa like a used car salesman ......... and talks like one too !
