I wanted so badly for Ireland to get a good result with an uptempo song. Sad it didn't happen but not surprised. I think the song just didn't really have a unique selling point. It's a song that people enjoy but wouldn't vote for because it doesn't stand out enough.
In difference to estonia Enya hit all her notes and really ruled the stage, effective staging with little budget... Estonia felt a little shaky at times and the led didnt really fill the stage. Im just saying it because not everybody can be robbed
As an Irish speaker, it pains me to hear the younger generation mispronounce certain words. The "ch" in Chéile has a throaty sound. A kind of voiceless velar fricative at the back of the throat. The hard 'k" as opposed to a throaty 'x" sound is not correct in any dialect of Gaeilge. So, while I enjoyed their performance, infectious energy... I wish they had worked more on their pronunciation.
incredibly robbed... Ireland did something different AND did it amazingly. MAN. Enya, you were wonderful! 💖
one of my faves and I voted for Ireland the whole time😭
I’m obsessed with this chorus:) and she sang very well.
