So impressed by this!! Solas has the most special place in my heart, but really glad that Ireland has gone in a completely different direction this year. It’s catchy, fun and modern, and I love how confident Enya is. Can’t wait to fully support Ireland next month (especially as the UK is no longer involved💔), this deserves to get a strong result!
I like this. I was wary of them sending another lovely Celtic ballad after the last two years and am glad they’ve gone a different route. It’s fun and upbeat, and should do pretty well. This reminds me a bit of the vibe of the UK entry two years ago, though I prefer this, but that’s a good sign given how well Freya did. You need to give Estonia’s entry a listen, too
Great entry. There aren't that many songs this year that I like (pretty obvious that I'm not the demographic for JESC), but this sounds really good. Very catchy and vibrant. Fingers crossed for a good staging, good luck Ireland!
Oh man this is so much fun and really what i've been wanting. I wanted to hear a fun irish language song 😄 I do need to catch up on junior eurovision. I've been sleeping on the contest this year.
Btw what you said about Irish language reminds me of the situation of swedish in Finland. It’s also our second official language, increasingly unpopular in Finnish schools, mostly spoken in the west coast
I like this - I love that it's in Irish but with a modern sound (I'm not sure if they've done that before*). I only hope that they do more with the dancers than have them in white T-shirts and blue jeans: as you mentioned, this needs more color. "If you don't like it, you need to try harder"
I’m very excited about this. And it’s a ballad heavy year which will make us stand out. 🇮🇪 She sounded great live on the NF. And I love the play on the words “le cheile.” 2024 is our year, Ireland 💚💚💚
@@willardprenfrew4303 Le cheile le cheile la. Sounds like La Kay La La Kay la La. It’s like the old school Eurovision song titles that were gibberish so they were singable in any language. Anyone can sing this but it still has meaning in the Irish language. It’s clever
I learned something about Ireland today. I thought Irish people knew Irish and English and just chose to mostly speak English at home. Australia need to do what Ireland do and teach Aboriginal languages at school. Also I am a new Junior Eurovision fan First contest I followed was 2023 but I do know the winners and alot of the past result and heard a lot of the songs as far back as 2018 and IOU is easily my favorite Irish song until now (IOU isnt as good as France, Australia or Poland in 2018 with France being my favorite from 2018 but Ireland is still a great song which I like to listen to) But Le Chéile is on par with IOU and Ireland is performing 2ndlast between 2 ballads (Although Portugal is one of the Few ballad Im giving a chance to win JESC its still a ballad) so Ireland will be boosted by that
nah, unfortunately very few people can speak it fluently. We learn it in school, but practically very few people outside of the Gaeltacht's use it. Also because the Gaeltacht people get all the best marks in Irish, it doesnt make it practically useful to take it seriously in our high school exams - as all the exams are graded on a curve and the Irish speakers get all the top marks.
Nope! Tom, I swear if Solas was the "Adult" entry for Eurovision for Ireland in 2022 I really think we would have been in the top 5. That was an absolute banger
Tom, is Wales taking part this year, seeing as the UK is absent. By the way, why is the UK not taking part......two really great results, then we pull out ???
No wales aren’t in 😭 I have no idea what happened to the UK? Maybe someone else who sees this comment might know. Like you said they were on a great momentum recently so I don’t get it. Maybe they weren’t able to find a suitable act?
@@ESCTom The UK said it was because of low viewing figures but they are considering showing Junior Eurovision this Year so I dont know what the real reason Is. If I had to guess then Capitalism, It costs too much money for what it makes back
@@stevenwilliams3038 Thanks for the reply. Yes, I guessed that the viewing figures wouldn't be great and the cost for competing isn't cheap. Tom makes a good point.......maybe there is a lack of young artists who want to take part.
Like Qami Qami and Cœur my 28 year old ass would probably put this in my playlist so I 100% approve of this winning the whole thing.
People are SLEEPING on this
Those sleeping on it probably havent bother listening to the final version after listening to the first version that was released.
I think so too
I really like it, it's my 6th rn

I love this song is and bop is my number 5 of all 17 songs love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 to Ireland 🇮🇪
Ever since the studio version of this song came out I have not been able to stop listening to it
Ireland song my very like it so much and my third favourite song to junior eurovision this year 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏💯💯💯
Definitely one of my favourites so far - it has a lot of potential!
This 63 yr old Irish woman just loved this. It is really upbeat, she performs it so well and the sound of the Gaeilge is so smooth. Will be voting.
I really want Ireland to win this year! This is just extremely uplifting and can stand out from 16th in ro, so best of luck🇮🇪☘️🤞

Estonia is growing on me

my winner this year
This is definitely one of my favourites!! I can't wait to see it on the show and I'm SO happy Ireland isn't sending a ballad.

It seems like quite a solid year so far
WOW wow wow Ireland u have it won this year 💯 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
This is a phenomenal entry from Ireland! I am thoroughly impressed! I’d love to see an Irish victory in Madrid! 🫶🏼
Btw what you said about Irish language reminds me of the situation of swedish in Finland. It’s also our second official language, increasingly unpopular in Finnish schools, mostly spoken in the west coast
I just listened to all the songs revealed so far, and THIS is the standout imo. I really hope this gets Ireland another Top 5 if not a win.

Do you understand whatever language this song is written in ?
i can understand some of the written lyrics, but i struggle to understand the spoken Irish in the song
@@ESCTom you don't understand Irish much?
I keep thinking it's going to break into Britney's Stronger.
