Yess girl, right on time! I’ve been looking into these travel contracts since the rates have been rising! 🤑 I don’t know many people who have done travel nursing so it’s great that you did this video and answered many of my questions! 🥰
TEAL BLUE- I followed immediately and wrote down everything! I’ve talked with several recruiter and one I really like I’m sticking with! Thank you for all the tips!
Teal blue! Thank you! I’m about to start my first travel assignment, and I probably should have watched your video beforehand, but fingers crossed 🤞 it will be a great experience 👍🏼. Thank you for sharing so much information for those of us new to travel nursing!
@@Changedlife210 it was great until it wasn’t. Make sure your contract details things like your shift, pay, etc so that you have a leg to stand on if someone tries to get you to work outside of the contract you agreed on. And be prepared to maybe have to move on to another/different travel assignment if needed. I had to leave mine early, not my fault, and I am still eligible to work with the travel agency I was with. I have chosen to work closer to home (not currently traveling), but that’s because of my family’s preferences at the moment. I may consider travel nursing again in the future. I wish you the best of luck! I did enjoy it! I just think I was maybe being taken advantage of at my first assignment.
I’m in the Med Surg- oncology, with average 9 patients. I’ve had 13 patients before. When I transition into travel nursing, I will be open to whatever the deal is.
Hey, I am definitely considering travel nursing, I've talked to a lot of recruiter, they seem pretty uninterested when I don't give a start date that's not 2 weeks away
Thank you for this information. I’m barely starting my nursing program and I’m excited to complete it. I’m definitely looking forward to becoming a travel nurse!
Teal Blue!!!!💠🇰🇿 thank you so very much for taking your time to help people with this very valuable info!!!. Been a nurse for 20 yrs & now looking to start travel nursing for the 1st time!!🤗🥰
This was great. Thank u for the information. I also heard that travel nurses can put no float in they're assignment contract. To prevent the floating situation.
Teal blue. Something must be wrong with my monitor as your top looked gray to me. Loved the questions. New to travel nursing in the OR. Thanks for posting. I just subscribed to your channel.
Teal Blue-I start my first contract as a LPN in LTC in two weeks and I asked alot of those questions ❤ Gonna have this checklist for future reference stay blessed xoxo
This was really awesome and detailed and how you broke down who to ask the specific question. My girlfriend is looking to start travel nursing and I am a Surg Tech who wants to start traveling in a year. so this was really helpful info.
We want to start it with you first doing nurses schedules like you are my secondary managers about hospitals patients worker. So, next month. I could ready to travel to you. For my first work weekly schedule 1 month. Remember I loved my first managers. So, let's moving on like that. for your own good if you wanted...🎉
Teal blue:Great video great questions..I'm definitely a question asker..I'll be trying to go on my first travel assignment..thks can you speak on the hype of pay I'm hearing recruiter are getting about 40 percent for simple recruiting you so unfair ..when you can really recruit yourself..
Thank you these are excellent questions. I do have a question I'm a newbie travel nurse. I'm so nervous about being thrown into a unit that jeopardize my license. So my question is how do I approach receiving report from a nurse before accepting the keys tactfully without giving off vibes that if this is a shit show I'm not accepting these keys lol because if I do accept the keys I can't leave because that's abandonment ... What questions should I ask specifically during report that should raise red flags in that area lol I've been on a new unit where the staff nurses refused to count the narcotics with me.
Do you call the manager before your assignment? I'm a staff nurse in Canada, I have zero input on my schedule. I don't have a master rotation so it's every 6 weeks I get a new one
Hey ...I wanna ask you a question which is totally out of the topic. I currently live in Canada and I am almost close to getting my registration in US(state I have not decided) and I have graduated from India. I am so confused which state is better to start working and will take me since I have a gap in my practice. Would you please advise me if you have any ideas. Thanks much.
Go to a compact state to have a multi-state license. If you want a non-compact, Massachusetts is friendly state and a great place to make good money with your skills. They'll train you even if there's a gap don't worry as long as you're ready to work. Just keep pushing you gat this
Teal blue. Please tell me about the travel pay. I am talking to a recruiter who wants me to go do local traveling meaning I will be taxed on every dollar. The pay is good but…..
Good eve, Ms. Teal Blue. Thank you for being present ever online and on You Tube at that. Kindly guide your new follower what other courses should I take/enroll in inorder to become a qualified "travel nurse". I am now taking CNA. I got certified as a PCA and TNA last last year (2021). And I have been working as a live-in caregiver for 2.5 years and counting. I am a working student. Ty again for your response.
Thank you for this video love it. Great questions and answers I'm a CNA I can't wait to start . I'm a little nerve and new to traveling.
