Just showed my 4 year old this video. He'd not heard pan pipes before and his eyes absolutely lit up. He's now running around pretending to play them! Thank you for the video!
I'm 86 yrs of age and have to use hearing aids. At my wifes insistance some 6 years ago I purchased some very expensive hearing aids, they were good and the support was second to none but nevertheless they were not as good as my hearing used to be. By pure chance, an ear infection and a very good advertisement, I purchased a new type modern pair which the ad said were developed from NASA technology. My goodness, what a difference they have made !!! All of a sudden I could hear my flute playing and discovered that my wife was not kidding after all when she said I sounded pretty good. I'm not boasting about my playing but now I have more enthusiasm to play and practice and I feel alive again !!!
You are perfect actor erik - it make me Smile !!! Once in my live i will Visite you - this is my dream !! I love your wonderful work !! Thank you forever !!
Pan-tastic ! High am still enjoying & exploring the flutes I purchased from your exquisite and fair shop - way back in 08 - Ale be back sum+day, hopefully.
I've heard this sound in many games or movies and kept wondering what is this magnificent instrument , i finally found it , absolutely wonderful sir thanks a lot , i would definitely love to have one of these!!
I bet it would be hard to make one of these if you’re not a musician who really understands pitch. I was thinking of doing it as a woodworking project but on observing the different styles in this video I’m starting to think it’s a little outside my wheelhouse haha. Still a very interesting, informative, and useful video though.
2:20 The unique tone and scale are lovely. By the way, he looks like the principal of a venerable magic school, or perhaps you would like to call him "Master", and he is as nice as his flute.
I love your pipes and have always wanted one. I can not wait to afford one. One day I will play a pan pipe too. I do play a concertina right now and have been practicing using it for about a year.
We needed a pan pipe break. They take so long to build that we can't get our other flutes made. And the work is piled up and we are harvesting and working to restore our bamboo clumps. Time to fertilize too soon. Thanks for asking. erik
wooow!the egyptian one sounds more like an Nazca antara(panpipe) that is an archeologic instrument from the Nazca civilitation that have 1400 years, you can search about nazca antaras in Peru we have mor than 200 scales of them
What do they sound like without the effects though? I can clearly hear them, and not everyone has a mic and effects box that people listen threw. I'd like to hear your whistles and Flutes raw that way people know what to actually expect.
Hola Iriam, la ultima cancion es con la sampoña grande en Re (D) escala pentatonica. Puse el nombre Los ojos de mi Lama a ese improvisación. Salud, Erik
Were can I get one of these Btw cool story my oldest sister had one of these things when I was younger however I don't think that she knew how to play it and I was just spitting trying to play it but that didn't work out I think that it got thrown out or got lost
Greeting Erik these panpipes are absolutely beautiful. I had a question in regards to what Hz these are playing in and how does one go about changing the Hz?
bamboo is hollow so it should work. hard to give best advice if the bamboo is not in my hand but I used yellow bamboos before found up north. They always had short lengths. Give it a sot. And if you need me best to email me. info@eriktheflutemaker.com
I called them the bird flute. If you order something from us mention it and i will toss one in your box. That was an item easy to sell at a craft show. But not a good business plan when shipping is so expensive. I wrote a big book and it sells for $20 but to ship one the other day it cost $20. As I offered free shipping. So you can see that not every great thing we do is a good business. So we can not offer to sell the bir flutes. but i can give them away when a customer asks for one. Or put one in a flute set for sale. Take care, Erik
Absolutely gorgeous that is, and you play those lovely 😊 Which notes would you say work best if you wanted to do try playing pan pipe music with a dark pirate sort of vibe like this? th-cam.com/video/IYBQpFAUnXA/w-d-xo.html 2:19 That is cool AF! 😳😯😃😄
Hi Johnny, the song used a D Major flute and small whistle. I believe played in E minor. So those would be what I would recommend. Or D D major pan pipe that we do not make. Regards, Erik

I just made my first pan flute yesterday, 15 notes in Cmajor. It was hard to tune uneven pieces of bamboo with a hacksaw, but it was so fun
THE PERFECT SOUND OF A PAMPIPE

I was thinking the same thing. There's clearly some reverb added, which is already a bit misleading, I wonder what else they've done.
