Wow ! a lot of driving in 5 days, I spent two weeks in the Yukon & only made it as far as Johnson Crossing, Ross river and all trails in between north of Watson lake, just all the back country trails and a lot of wild life , Was an awesome trip, Will be much more to come next year :))
Great content, good to see y'all back in my home state. Looking forward to seeing what exciting adventures are ahead this summer. How about inviting Nutty Nu and doing a activity together. Enjoy the great state of Alaska.
I’ll b there on the 27th!!! Maybe I’ll run into u guys this summer, Im off of funny river road on the kenai river! Great journey you guys had driving up that’s a long drive!
Great video, enjoyed seeing you guys travelling through Saskatchewan and Alberta (I live in Edmonton). The drone footage was excellent. Living the dream is an understatement!
My parents drove there a couple times with a camper. Now they take the train and rent a car when they get there. I spent the summer after high school up there cleaning fish for sixteen hours a day and fishing half of Saturday and most of Sunday. I slept in our shed that we bought fish from and I walked about three miles each way to and from camp. My worst day was walking up on a bear and all I had to protect myself was a filet knife. Luckily the bear was only half grown and curious as to what the heck someone was doing walking. Meanwhile a dude was up in a plane watching and when I got back to camp everyone was laughing at me. But I can say I was fifty feet away from a glacier bear that wasn't by the river and my clothes smelled like salmon too
Dang that is a lot of fly reels. I have two and a bunch of fly rods and one mini fly rod setup I think it is a 1size just for bluegill. That is a freaking fight
Next time you come through Alberta come through central and take hwy 40 up to edson through grande cache ect. You'll love the detour, some great fishing holes along the way
@MinnDak Outdoors if you make a post when you do I'll message you some river names, ect. You guys would love it, probably take an extra day but you could see some of the good stuff in just a few hours too!
Very excited for the Alaska videos!!! I was wondering if you and Lindsay were still together, I missed not seeing the MN deer hunt at her family's land. Keep up the great work!
You guys guys should have stopped and check out the big beaver in beaverlodge a hour before Dawson creek my home town, on your way back you should check it out and stop at corlanes in Dawson creek
I would love to see some canoeing fishing hunting catch n cooks. Hunting anything bear. Elk.deer.fushing for salmon. Halibutttt. Any kind of fishing catch n cook.and camp outs.
Is Low Cost Transmission still in business, in Alberta?. I spent my last $400.00 dollars there, in 1975. Was discharged from the Army in April of 1975. I was at Fort Greely, Alaska. I was stationed at a remote test site at Milepost 1393 on the Ak. Hwy. The Gerstle River Test Site. Things have changed up there since then. I've been getting homesick watching these videos. My friend, Tom, and I made the trip in April of 1975, in a 1970 Maverick. We drove pretty much blind in the days before cell phones, and internet.
Did you stop by the Museums along the Alaskan highway and collect the badges ? At the end of the trip you will have a chance to enter a raffle for some cash. But anyways that Alaska highway trip is beautiful! Still felt like a dream back in 2010!
how did you like all that smoke in Alberta? Near Fox Creek Alberta is where the fire hit on the side of the highway there was many powerlines down when i went through there last week
@@MinnDakOutdoors I wasn’t sure when you two had left the U.S., as I had heard Hwy 43 was shut down in some areas. I also know people who live up North (Grande Prairie area), who said it was bad. You guys were certainly blessed. I know there’s still forest fires in Northern B.C. and hopefully it won’t reach Alaska. Looking forward to the VLOGs of your Summer.
My wife and I are flying up to Anchorage in Sept and renting a campervan for a week. So jazzed to follow along and take some notes from you guys.

Sucks inside the tent got wet. Wonder if there a separate rain fly that could go over the top to help prevent it from happening again
How about doing a float down the Kenai? Either on a kayak or raft. Looking forward to the series.
