  • Now that you have your NOK Box from www.thenokbox.com, you need to tell your designee what you are doing. Whether it's one of your children, a relative or a friend, the executor of your will needs to know A LOT while you're living!! Don't make it a mystery. The more open you are now, the easier it will be for them later!! This chapter helps you get started on that process!!

    I love this idea and plan to get one. The only thing is when I take a vacation that is a lot of info filled out in my house in case of a break-in. I know that’s me being paranoid, but any thoughts?

    Think about a trust in addition to a will. I was the executor of my mom’s will and once I learned how much better a TRUST is we added it to our will so our family will have it soooooo much easier! And I love our NOKBOX so much I have started giving the NOKBOX kit as gifts.

      Great point! We have thought about doing that! Will start researching!!

      So we have been doing some research - the lawyers are not really too clear about what advantages are other than "your assets can then pass through to your beneficiaries without probate" -- because for folks who don't understand (or who don't want to understand so they can pretend they don't) - it still feels unclear unless the attorney is also willing to explain what THAT PHRASE means 😊

      @@amarbyrd2520 here is what without probate means… I could have just disposed of moms items without having to do a hundred hours of court paperwork over 18 months. Find any person who ever has ever had to go through probate and I guarantee they would NOT RECOMMEND it!

    About 2 months ago you seemed to be happy to announce your intention to produce a series of videos on the NOKBOX system. You have released two videos so far. They both seemed to be introductions to the system. In both you said there would be more information on how to use the system properly. Can we expect those anytime soon? Or, have you given up on that?

      Funny you should ask!! I decided to do the NOK system when my father in law died. We inherited his two dogs and brought them home about a week after I did those first two videos!! So I've been learning (re-learning) to be a dog mom!! I have not given up!!

    When you go to update things later will it be messy scribble out the old info and write the new or are there a few copies so you can update and keep everything clean?

    • @shark1023TV
      @shark1023TV  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend making the updates on a separate sheet of paper!! Red ink mark out the old and write, "see attached page" then staple it all together!!

    Having an attorney here in Indiana to draw up a will starts at $500 and that’s the least expensive that I have found. UGH!!!
