I've seen two faults on the PSU until now. Once was the switchmode IC itself (with a bad internal regulator) and the second one was the transistor buffering between the 555 and the switchmode IC.
This video is very informative, thank you! I'm currently trying to fix one of these speakers with a red light flashing 7 times, which according to the manual is 'overheating'. However it does that permanently even when the speaker is switched on. I'm going crazy trying to figure out the issue, there's nothing visibly obvious on the board. All the MOSFETs and diodes and resistors are reading what they should.
@TKFElectronics - what would cause those MOSFETs to constantly blow? I have repleced mine but as soon as the unit is powered up the fuse blows and when i check the new MOSFETs they are damaged once again. Would a faulty mosfet driver ic or damaged bridge rectifier cause that issue?
They are 2 reasons 1) if MOSFET is not original, refurbished also available in market, u need to replace only with original MOSFET 2) may be their is leakage in SMPS Board or any smd electronic component around SMPS circuit is weak or leakage currents

does anyone have the schematic for a 710A MK2? I have all LEDs turn on with no sound. Analog and digital voltages seem ok though I can't see any clock on the DSP
Hi, I have a blown fuse on one of my RCF EVOX J8. Do you which kind of fuss I need? The plastic case says use only 250v but is there a recommended size/brand or anything? It’s hard for me to read the actual fuse itself. I can tell it’s blown because it’s Smokey/black and the speaker doesn’t turn on. The fuse from the working speaker is clear.
Bro before replacing glass fuse of same Ampere as per written on pcb is recommended but first clear the problem why the Fuse blown off, may be there is shortage in power supply section so I recommend you to visit your nearest RCF service center located in your area.

Only 4 wires connector of speaker & LED 2 wires connector only, this two things need to remove then whole Black colour Amplifier Module will be get isolated.
Hi, I have an RCF ART-710A box and it plays super well until I turn the volume up to half. If you increase it more, then it cuts the bass and only the treble of the snare is left and it oscillates like this (turns bass on and off bass). Would you have any tips?
May be, i am not sure because i didn't check it, LF ic or MOSFET might be partly defective or any other smd components around this LF ic, pls check those. Or your LF speaker can also be possible. Hope this would help you in rectifying your problem. Thank you.
I have a problem with the 715, the power supply does not work, the mos fet are correct, but the ic irs21351 I think is the real problem, I changed it 2 times, but I guess it burns out, do you have a sema by chance
@@TKFElectronicsI think the vcc voltage 15v is not ok but I'm not sure if I can have 15v without a correct ic. I have checked all the smd and they seem to be correct, the only thing I suspect are the resistors R107 and R550, I will replace them and see what happens.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I bought RCF 935 speakers, and each time the delivered set blows the fuses and won’t turn on again. At the moment, I have my third replacement set, and out of 6 speakers, only one is working. The other 5 that were sent to me blew the fuses and couldn't be restarted after replacing the fuse.
Hello. I have a rcf 715 mk2, it works fine, but the frequency sometimes goes off for 1.2 seconds, this often happens every 5 minutes. what could be wrong
@@TKFElectronics the board shows a "jumper 115v". Would closing that and changing the fuse to handle the additional current do the job? RCF says it's possible to change. Would prefer not to have to use a step up converter.
If 110 option is available, you can use that, are you a qualified technician then only you try this otherwise take the help of your nearest electronic repair Shop.
Their is something is weak electronic components in either Amplifier section or Power supply section, pls check main filter capacitor in SMPS section or secondary section high volt capacitors.

Very interesting. I would be glad if you could help: What could cause a voltage drop on ZD1 to 2.5V. This Diode supplies the LMC555.

If you are a qualified technician then only I recommend u to repair it, otherwise visit to your nearest Service center.
Once you unscrewed from back what did you disconnect to seprate the amp

@@TKFElectronics there is a U1J Diode between the 555 Timer IC and the Mosfet driver on the PCB... if that is damaged could this cause my issue?

You can use step up voltage stabilizer bro. Which converts 110VC to 220VAC.
