This made me cry today. I'm now officially an enthusiants that missed out on the most thrilled filled coaster in the world. RIP Kingda Ka.
Same, I missed out too. This ride was still my childhood, and I always dreamed of riding it
I know how you feel man.
Same.... The one time I made it to great adventure it was closed
Same. I've been a Coaster enthusiast all my life and have only ever been to two parks lol. I envy all these channels that are able to go to so many. I'm bummed I'll never be able to ride this monster of an attraction

@@StatBoiRichie whyyyyy :(((( I didn’t even ride it yet bruh
Im in tears. I live in NJ. I have been riding this coaster since DAY 1. This is my favorite ride; so close to my heart and soul.
I was on the third last ever train. There are so many enthusiasts there saying goodbyes today and the atmosphere around the coaster was fantastic despite the sadness. The ride operators are also fantastic as they are pretty much rolling trains all day. Glad to be there with Ka until the end, awesome to meet you all, long live the king, thank you for the memories 💚
It’s not closing permanently, good lord 🙄
@@CobbleBompsterwho do you think you are and what makes you think you know something the whole world including top tier enthusiasts dont 😭
@@dylantodrankdude, it's just a coaster. Jesus have some perspective. If the worst thing in your life is that one of your favourite attractions is closing you're doing ok. Ffs
@@shorey66 Don't worry, I'm with you considering that, unlike many coasters from the 2000s, I've expected to know that coasters in the present will eventually close down. But for me, so long as there is video and photo proof that the coaster at one point existed, I can easily remake it in Roller Coaster Tycoon, or any of my drawings however I see fit.

I just love how everyone put their arms up right when the speaker told them not too. Long live the king ❤
That reminds me of TTD🤣👍
I was about to comment the exact same thing and then i saw this lmao
Dragster definitely did the better “arms down head back and hold on” the sign is that says it is still there but they didn’t keep the audio😭😭 but correct me if I’m wrong but I saw a pov of TT2 when it was still open and after close listening I’m pretty sure the guy who did the legendary dragster speech did the audio when you board the ride
@Peachie10120 I went specifically to Cedar point again this year to ride TT2. And they closed it
I was pissed
@jorge5275 I’m probably going next year. TT2 better be open
I was beyond lucky to be on this train. I drove 12hrs to be there this weekend. The energy, the friends made, and this ride are things I will never forget. Thank you so much for filming this ❤

You know the Ride OP wanted to say "Orange train are you ready for the FINAL launch of Kingda Ka" but he couldn't.
The ride operator in the green shirt, glasses, and man bun is a legend. This was the tightest and most efficient ride crew I've seen in a long time. Props to everyone. Today was special. A proper send-off off for a king.
Goodbye ka
This is honestly putting a tear in my eye. I've only gotten to ride this 3 times ever. This will be an unforgettable experience. Long Live THE KING OF COASTERS. you will be dearly missed across the globe and be a icon in the amusement industry till the end of time.

Long live king-da ka
My gosh.. I will miss this ride so much. I was extremely lucky to ride it in the beginning of June this year. Long Live The King 2005-2024
Thank You Kingda Ka. If not for you, I wound not have wanted to make the pilgrimage to great adventure as a kid if not for you. I made it in 2009 when visiting family in north jersey, and while you were closed, I found the real love of my coaster life when I was there on that visit, that being El Toro (and Nitro). I did get rides on you eventually a few years later, and you were even the last coaster my dad ever rode (He's alive BTW, just quit riding coasters). If this truly is the end for you, thank you for everything, and long live the king.
Thank you so much for taking this video! I was in the first car of the first ever public train of Kingda Ka and it’s one of my happiest life memories. Long Live the King!!
Thank you for posting!! My daughter and I got front row on the 2nd to last train of the night. We loved the "Long live the King" chants going on throughout the night.
Holding out the hopium that it’s just a rumor and we get another year (atleast) with the King.
Regardless, I owe Ka a lot of kudos for getting me interested in rollercoasters 19 years ago. That final leg of the coaster wars will forever have a special place in my heart.
Funny, considering the roller coasters that got me into riding them in the first place was Corkscrew, Gemini, Blue Streak, and Hersheypark/Dorney Park that inspired me to build roller coasters. To this very day we still have the math book on roller coasters, one from 2002 and one I got from a book fair in 2009/2010.
@ @ similar vibes here too. I have a bunch of books and even a couple old posters from Dorney and CP. Ka being built was def the trigger though. Had me riding coasters in No Limits on my dad’s laptop and researching on RCPro.
Never quite smart enough for the math involved in building a beast tho. Kudos!
I’m in the Blue in the second row! Thank you for the video and kingda ka for the honor of being the last on it of millions.
What was the atmosphere like on that train last night? Give us a story!
So you were riding next to Sofia Stanz ??? LEGENDS
I grew up here. My dad was in the commercials for media day on ka and toro. I just recently flew to Jersey to ride this once more and it was so worth it. Smoothest it’s felt in years and the operations were the best I’ve seen on any coaster. I watched this video with the song where’d all the time go playing on my tv and seriously shed a tear. This ride will Never be forgotten and we will forever recognize it as the king of coasters.
Where in Jersey?
@ south Jersey in a town called deptford not to far from Philly
I'm ashamed to admit it but I had never been on Ka even though great adventure is my home park. Every year I would tell myself I was going to ride it but something always got in the way. I can't believe 19 years passed before my eyes. It was your video saying you were hearing rumors of it's closure that convinced me to FINALLY get over there and ride the King. I went this Saturday and I'm so happy I got in both a day and night ride in the front row. If the rumors are true, I am so thankful that I was able to ride and not filled with a life of regrets for missing out on one of the craziest coasters to ever exist on this planet. Thank you for what you do for the coaster community, mang. I'll never forget it.
fun fact: now the current tallest operating full circuit roller coaster is red force. Let that sink in.
This isn't official. We still don't know if it's closing. Look at the video description.
@@ot.bot.249While it’s not official, the construction markers now found outside the ride likely means big change is coming in 2025.

Cedar fair executives look at this and think let's remove one of the most iconic and beloved coasters in the world.
Cedar Fair doesn’t give two fucks unfortunately.
Seriously did an intamin exec screw their wives? I know the cedar point accident is a thing but isn't this not a real risk given the line setup here. Are they about to give up on top thrill 2 or something?

This is Cedar Flags biggest mistake since the merger. They will regret this. Fucking FOOLS.
@@ot.bot.249when the crew and maintenance people are both saying it is closing at the end of the season it likely is. Maybe if there is a delay it will reopen in the spring maybe the community support changes the plans. But they already submitted permits for the new land.
@@zanzabar4ky7the ride ops also said SFNE’s Goliath was getting new parts and was going to re open
@zanzabar4ky7 La Vibora (the last Intamin bobsled coaster) at SFOT also recently closed with no announcement, and people have been reporting that it's already being dismantled. Don't put it past Six Flags to do this.
I went on Friday and the ops crew was amazing. I have never seen amusement park staff working as hard or hustling as much in my life. Thanks for giving Ka a great send off this weekend.
Being on this train was insane. Also really cool meeting you after
2:03 second row left seat is basically crying. This whole thing is so heartbreaking. I feel their pain
This ride is operating phenomenally i rode it many times yesterday
What a great video! I'm glad this moment was preserved, especially since SFGad is my home park, and I missed this by about a week. At least I managed to ride it during the 2010s!
@eltororyan thanks for sharing my first ride on Kingda Ka last week, so happy to get the chance right before the end! There really is nothing else like it that ive experienced before, or ever will again ❤ Long live the King!!
Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster and Do Dodonpa were my bucketlist coasters since my childhood. It's a shame I've never gotten to ride any of them :(
Atleast I got a picture with TTD, even though it wasn't operating in that year.
I don't know what the six flags executives were on when they decided to do this without an official announcement and not give people who don't live close to the park time to get their last rides. Thankfully I finally got out to great adventure earlier this year and got my first and last rides, but I know there are many people that haven't been on it that live very far away, or are just not in the enthusiast loop so they will have to idea that it's closing. I wanted to ride this coaster long before I was an enthusiast or knew really anything about rollercoasters, and I think that proves just how much of an icon this ride really is. Long live the king ❤🐯
I really don’t believe that they’d casually close the worlds tallest roller coaster without any real fanfare. I genuinely don’t think this is going anywhere for a little while.
It’s a bittersweet moment, the whole train chanting “Long live the king!” And everyone celebrating in the station, but it’s so disappointing that such an amazing coaster will now rest forever…
Long live the king! Long live Kingda Ka!
Long live the King of Coasters! ❤ I’ll never forget our front row ride on the best launch in the world! R.I.P Ka, you will forever hold a special place in my heart! Truly a king amongst coasters.

Shame on Six Flags for never giving an official closing announcement, unacceptable.

Drove 2 hours from PA yesterday to get my first and final rides on it. I had dreamed of getting on it since i was little. It was an awesome experience!
Huh, Eric, is that you? If not, I met someone yesterday with the same story
Long live the King ❤️ I was the one who started the first chant today
I was lucky enough to be on this final train. Row 8 left side. I was losing my voice the whole way through. Now that I’m sitting at home this hits different and I’m not 100% sure how to process it. I’ve been going to Great Adventure since I was 5 with my first visit coming in 2005, so Ka has always been a part of the park skyline to me, along with being the first thing I see entering the park getting off 195, and I don’t know how I’ll feel if I see that gone.
Thanks to the ops for making this a night to remember, and all the new friends I made. If this was the end, I think we all made sure Ka got the sendoff it deserves. The energy there today was unlike anything I’ve ever seen at Great Adventure in my almost 20 years of going there.
LONG. LIVE. THE KING. ❤️👑🎢
PS. Thank you for posting this Ryan. A great way to remember my final ride on this legendary Intamin and piece of coaster history.
It's going to be funny next spring when this video is quietly retitled to "last public train of 2024."

I really hope so. I never got a chance to ride and was actively planning to make a trip to ride it at the next time life made doing so feasible when the closure stuff started. Definitely a sad day.

Sad to hear it shutting down. This was the First and at this time only Roller Coaster I've ever been on. Thanks for the memories of scaring the living Jesus out of me. Rest Easy brother!
About a month ago, I went to NYC. For some reason, I really wanted to go to SFGA (although I’ve been there already). My parents protested since going to an amusement park twice overseas was unorthodox for us. We went to SFGAd, and I decided to fight my fears and go on Kingda Ka on the front row. I put my hands up and had an amazing time. I came back to Korea, only to know that was the last time I’ll ever go on Kingda Ka :(
Shouldn’t be a sad face! You got to ride dude! That’s awesome 🤙

I was there on Saturday, November 9th, 2024. I cried on the launch track on my ride. It was an honor. Long live the King. All hail the King.
Speaker: Arms down!
Everyone: **immediately puts arms up**
I got to ride it for the first time the previous weekend and there were a ton of enthusiasts there even though it was a week before it closed, which showed how many people cared about this ride. Long live the King 💚
I love how when the speaker says "arms down!" literally everybody puts their arms up
I rode this completely alone during the construction of Zumanjaro's drop of doom. Took a nap on the benches near an animal exhibit by the construction barrier. Little did I know 20 meters down the path some staff began holding a crowd back waiting for its open. They moved the barrier near me, but hadn't informed the guards yet. I rode in the front alone, and as I exited the ride I blended right in with the approaching crowd and rode a second time NOT alone in the back that time.
Long live the king 👑❤. Glad I got to experience it one last time tonight after so many lifetime rides. I was right there outside the station with some others watching that final train go as well. Rip 😢
I grew up 30min from Great Adventure. I’m lucky enough to have experienced Kingda Ka countless times. RIP to the GOAT 😢
It was beauty that killed the beast.
Crazy to think I’ll never get to ride this. Been seeing it in books and on TV and online since I was young, and it always seemed unreal, and I guess it’ll stay that way since I’ll likely never see it with my own eyes. . .
At least I got to ride Dragster and Stealth, so I can mash the two rides together in my head an estimate the Kingda Ka experience lol
Me and some friends decided to day trip to the park at 1 in the morning and traveled 12 hours to ride it, it was worth it
The good news is that we should know the rides fate the next time the park opens. Because it would say on the app whether it’s just closed for the season, or closed permanently. Regardless whether it’s closing temporarily or permanently, it’s crazy to see how much this ride means to people. If they do plan on closing permanently, I hope great adventure sees this video and releases how much this 30 second roller coaster means to people. LONG LIVE THE KING 👑
All hail the King. Long live the King.
I became a coaster enthusiast in 2024 i rode this for my first time in June and its still my favorite coaster (its a lot better than steel vengeance) and i was there for my last ride on Nov. 3/4 for my last rides than on Nov. 14 on my school computer i saw the news i held my tears till the school day was over.
ElToroRyan I saw you there in line! I’m so glad me and my friends were able to meet you! Did you get on that private operator train at the end?
Farewell to this ride! I am glad to ride it because it is a "must-do" ride in Six flags, the thrill we are going to miss this, so will my kids too, it will only exist now as part of our childhood memories. Hope it comes back
I refuse to believe it, but I guess we'll see what happens
Same here like yeah it costs a lot to operate but I think its more likely for it to get an lsm conversion like tt2 by Zamperla since Zamperla will likely heavily discount it for Cedar Flags to get on good terms with them to avoid being blacklisted by the largest amusement company in the United States also why would they close it with no announcement either way it would be a PR nightmare but it would be more logical to tell people early on and receive less backlash
@Peter_9_9_9 screw zamperla. Intamin is the only way forward if they plan on converting it to LSM
I highly doubt that we will see a TT2 style treatment again. With how utterly bad the TT2 conversion has been going, I don’t see them doing it again.
you don’t have to believe it, because its just closing for the season, probably for some maintenance.
@@Jeremys-FansAndAlarmsbut TT2 works. We’ve seen it. Just something isn’t right with the trains/wheels and they will correct it.

This one wasn't for me, but it's just so iconic. It's been at the park for as long as I can remember and it's wild seeing it go. Especially since I'm still going for holiday in the park and seeing the tophat knowing the last train already crested the hill is rough, man. RIP

I wanted to ride this for 7 years and this made me get into this hobby and I finally rode it in 2024 6-8 times and now it’s gone 😢
did they confirm it? because here they just said last train of the night
nothing confirmed
Ride ops likely not allowed to say anything though a rumor on Coliwood Studios was that park employees were now allowed... unless that was a typo on their end.
Everyone speaking to guest relations said they've said nada too.
But again all the noise and rumors are that it's going down without announcement. Considering it takes 3 to 6 months to order parts for the thing easiest thing to do would be to find out if parts had been ordered in the last few months.
Possibly the reason they are running top tier ops is these are the same kind of ops you'd expect to see on a closing day from what I've seen of other closing coaster vids.
@@DBI2000 I think if it is gone, then there are some NDA stuff going around. If NDA's didn't exist, then why would those three words "of the night" be necessary?

@ wikipedia is community managed, there's not too much control on niche pages like that i don't think, anyone could suggest an edit
Still insane seeing a ride like Kingda Ka closing permanently, let alone without a proper announcement beforehand. Whatever replaces this ride is gonna have a LOT of expectations to meet, here's to hoping they don't fumble it lol. Long live the King o7
Almost 20 years, this ride was the tallest coaster… And now it’s going to be destroyed. It’s very sad since this was already overtaken by Falcon’s Flight in Saudi Arabia.
and also that ride likely will never be open due to it's maintenance costs and probably lack of ridership I mean who is actually going to travel across the world to a country with a terrible human rights record to ride this... absolutely no one

I'm just completely and utterly puzzled as to why they would close such an Iconic coaster without saying anything at all BEFORE. Really falls out of line with how SF/CF have done things in the past. Oh well. I still don't believe it's closing, especially as unceremoniously as this. But you've been right in the past with a lot of "Rumors" you've reported on the channel. So I'm just confused.
