Great video of the Pacific Surfliner route which is my most favorite Amtrak route. I rode the Pacific Surfliner a total of 9 times, 7 of those 9 times were when it was called the San Diegans when it only went between San Diego & Los Angeles. I rode to Oxnard on 5/27/2017 for the day on Pacific Surfliner train 769 and after visiting in the Oxnard-Ventura area for the day, I returned to San Diego on Pacific Surfliner train 1790. The trip was very enjoyable, comfortable & relaxing, I didn't have to deal with traffic and people slowing down on the freeways for the sake of slowing down in non construction zones in nice weather and no accidents. When I'm home in the Civilized San Diego area for visits, I will be riding to & from Los Angeles & Oxnard on the Pacific Surfliners more often alternating between Los Angeles & Oxnard every other visit.

Ever since I started riding the Pacific Surfliners to & from Los Angeles & Oxnard on my visits home to the Civilized San Diego area, my trips have been very relaxing, comfortable, stress free and most of all enjoyable. When I travel to Oxnard, I connect to the Gold Coast Transit number 6 bus to go visit my daughters grave at Ivy Lawn Cemetary in Ventura, the bus stop is in easy walking distance, don’t have to deal with the traffic and I get a nice tour of Oxnard in the process. The same when I connect to Metrolink when I go to Sylmar, there I take the Metro bus route 239 which drops me off at the San Fernando Mission Cemetary when I go visit my late wife’s crypt, she’s entombed 500 feet from where the late Richie Valenz’s & his mother are buried and 1,000 feet West of where Bob & Delores Hope are entombed. Using public transit and the Pacific Surfliner in my visits home to the Civilized San Diego area beat driving on the Golden State & Ventura Parking lots.
