When you look at the amount of victories on all the different tracks, there was no one any better than Jeff Gordon.

If only a few things had been different, no one would hesitate to call him GOAT. Great driver that brough NASCAR into the main stream.

Especially when it came to short tracks and road courses he had 6 consecutive road course victories and he has 12 wins just between Bristol and Martinsville. It's awesome to be a Jeff Gordon fan.

Proud to say I saw 4 wins #17,#48, #54, #62. 2 at Dover, 2 at Martinsville. Got to see him race 31 times and finish first or 2nd place 7 times, including seeing his first win at Martinsville(#48) without RAY.
Thanks for the memories, Jeff! I sure do miss seeing him on the racetrack.

@@jeffgordonedits1258 I was also at the 2007 Martinsville event when he should have punted the 48 for blocking. Very frustrating.
I was at Rusty's last win, too(Martinsville). The race Jeff dominated but a huge hole in the concrete destroyed his front end and ended up 6th. 2004 I believe that was. Sure do miss him on the track.

@@scottwolf497 Yeah, he was way too soft on Jimmie because he saw him too much as a friend instead of a competitor on the track. Johnson had no hesitation on bullying JG on the track, he knew how to separate the two when the green flag waved.

What a career for my old hero Jeff Gordon. If the NASCAR playoffs didn't exist, he would of won 3 more championships in 2004, 2007, & 2014 to become a 7 time champion, and you know what? I still think about that today.

Back in the day my younger brother was the biggest Jeff Gordon fan, would watch every practice, qualifying, and race. When Gordon got taken out in the fall Texas race in 2014 and him missing the Final 4 he lost his passion for NASCAR.
Even though I was a Johnson fan, I overtime felt that Gordon got screwed over but the chase/playoffs and that Jimmie was the benefactor of it.
We've moved on to Formula 1 and IndyCar these days

By the that I well also say the momentum he might hade on 5 titles he may have one more then 7.
Just proves how amazing and why he is the best driver to be in nascar. For he was able to take a badly running car and get more out of it he was always battling for 1 more spot.
