Construction Timelapse of Torre Reforma Skyscraper in Mexico City

- The Torre Reforma is the tallest building in Mexico City.
The smart cantilever design of the tower has allowed it to keep a small, triangular footprint while gently overhanging a historic hacienda.
It also has strong green credentials - with project sponsors hoping that its sustainable design and energy-saving systems will help the tower to achieve international LEED Platinum designation, the first in Latin America.
The Arup project site states that it is “Designed for Mexico City’s high seismic activity, the building will be able to withstand a 2500yr seismic event while achieving a life safety performance level; making it one the most secure buildings in the region.”

outstanding, amazing time lapse!
Thank you so much! It was an amazing experience to film this project. We loved working with the architects and visiting Mexico City as often as we could.
It’s a nice time lapse

it's so beautiful, and a technological marvel. People forget how big Mexico City is and the great wealth that intercedes within the 22 million people and it's huge corporations.
Every time I go back to Mexico City a new skyscraper is being built/finished. Great to see how this amazing city keeps growing!!!
Habla en español verga.

Barbara Rodriguez hey what's up beautiful what's your Instagram ??
Nice!!! Mexico City beautiful city and country
yeah But America is all the continent, USA is the country 🇺🇸 go Mexico 🇲🇽!!!

Mexican historians "You can't build a skyscraper there. A historical landmark is there."
Mexican architects "challenge accepted." Builds reforma over the historical building. Badass!
How is the destruction of a historical site Badass? Fck
@@ataud9754 They are not destroying them. They are preserving them by building over them.
Ataud * you must be a real karen to say that a destruction..
5:21 the adding of the tiles sorta synchronizes with the music
Holy chonker you're right!
How is this not receiving more attention ??? This is just amazing
This is an Amazing video!
Belo país Deus abençoe
Skyscrapers represent a city's growth and ability to hold a large population. Mexico City seems to be joining the club of New York City, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, etc. And Philadelphia might join them too.
Romano.
Héctor Cruz gracias
I think this is the cleanest construction I've ever seen. Looks like they are only assembling lego pieces.
Cierto
Thank you for all workers out there
Impresionante Torre Reforma

Dear fellows of the USA and Canada. First of all, thank you for your possitive comments. I just wanted to remind you that Mexico is also Northamerica. If we stand together we can face China and their aggressive commercial expansion troughout the world. We are a new Mexico, we are not only drugs and crime. This video represents how we are working to develop a new country.
We are a friendly country and partners of the USA and Canada. Long live Northamerica 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇨🇦
Anyone notice how much the tower cranes sway side to side! Awesome engineering!
Amazing work, well done to all involved!
A perfect way to show why they are also called ‘high rise’ building/skyscraper 👍
Beautiful building!!! Really enjoyed watching this.
I wish this video never ended...😉
Beautiful construction timelapse 👍
Love the design
I remember during summer we drove past that building and it was pretty huge up close
Somehow I feel connected to Mexican people 😂 I would love to visit Mexico for a long term to learn Spanish and their culture.
Just go bro, we are very friendly people, and will help you.
Just come you will be a dead meat
Bob Gan haha that’s a Stereotype for limited mindset people 🤣 my brother was there last Dec he LOVE IT :)
@@ogmnrwnkirolb we have our problems, that's no secret. But at the same time we have sooooo much to offer. That's why, despite our challenges, we are one of the happiest cultures on Earth.
Come and visit our old towns in the middle of (or near) impressive cities, and definitely you should try legitimate Mexican food: one of the best cuisines (best one for me, but of course I am biased).
In your trip, you will definitely fall in love of our friendliness (sure, there are exceptions), that's one of the reasons for foreigners to want to come back.

One of the best time lapse I've seen. :)
Mexico city has a better transportation system than any major U.S city. Don't underestimate what hard working Mexicans do when they work together. The city will be home to the largest airport in the Americas, that's all of the Western hemisphere for all who are geographically impaired, in the coming decade. Expect great things to come from Mexico in the near future.
I have the fattest cock in the western hemisphere

Amazing building, great video too.
Love this!
Sensational!

5:18 I hope those concrete tiles are well-secured. Imagine being a pedestrian on the sidewalk during an earthquake! 😬
We have suffered at least 2 earthquakes of 7.0 and this tower didnt have any damage. It is one of the safest buildings in the world.
I’m pretty sure they are very well secured. You could argue that any building with cladding could possibly be loose.
