These were a lot of fun to make today, took me about 1-1/2 hrs and I used a gold plated wire. I was thinking I’d like to wire wrap them a bit more if I used larger beads. I used what I had that were about 4mm moss agate, they are beautiful ! Thanks for the fun design
Awesome design! I would worry that the 22 gauge wire loops connecting the individual pieces might open up and the component would fall off though, if the bead in the center was too heavy. I would probably wrap around those loops to secure them, in that case. A small fix, nothing big. Otherwise, this design is limitless!
Love this channel and these earrings! I made them with 4 mm turquoise (I tend to like smaller earrings) still using 22 gauge wire and they are gorgeous!
Is there a video on how to make the dangle ring on your left hand, middle finger? Would love to learn to make that ring. Loved the earrings as well, can’t wait to make them.
Gee, thanks. I didn’t notice that adorable dangly charm ring on her left hand till you pointed it out, and now I absolutely have to to have one lol. If/when I find out how to make one, I’ll come back and share it with you!
Hi Yvita! These are made in the exact same way. You'll need a bit more wire that used in this project, but once your wrap is complete, just bring up the excess wire on both sides, make loops or wrap the wires together at the top in a nice design and connect them with an ear wire. This creates a nice dangle version of this earring!
I love the design. I made some and I whand do make it as a ring. can you make a tutorial for a similar pice as a ring? what can I do so it will hold tight and not loose. I made it with 20 ga dead soft.
I have different sized fake pearls I think I want to make big at the bottom medium in the middle and small at the top also I could also paint them with dark blue acrilic with some gold acrilic to give a deep green gold shimmery look 🤯😍
It's the same basic principle. Do the action exactly like the video, wrapping the wire in a spiral around the bead to "nest" it. Just be sure to cut a lot of extra wire. Once your spiral is where you want it, you should have tails on each side of the bead. Take those tails and wrap them down and around a ring mandrel several times to the appropriate size. Then, use your wire tails to wrap around the top of each side of the shank to secure the ring. Tuck those ends underneath so you can't see them and they won't scratch your finger. Good Luck!
@@JewelSchool I just want to say how awesome it was of you to respond to this question in such a detailed manner. I feel like most people would have either just ignored the question, posted a link to another tutorial, or told her to do a TH-cam search. That being said, I’m going to go give this a thumbs up, subscribe with alerts and then make a nest ring 🤩 💜 💍
I'm curious why the wrapped sections don't fall off the bead. With just one pass through the center of the bead it seems that the wraps would be a little unstable. Please advise.
Hi Mary! The wrapped bead segments are very stable once they are wrapped multiple times, even though the wire technically only goes “through” the bead once! - Katy
Hi Christine! Here is a tutorial for the charm ring. We will have to ask Katy to do tutorials on the other jewelry pieces she's wearing! th-cam.com/video/3W9cc0AoI5o/w-d-xo.html
My 22gauge is not very sturdy. I have it in several brands, too. Is that one loop strong enough for the other components not to fall apart if it gets caught in hair or hand? I love the look of this, just questioning the long term durability of the design.
I never have any trouble with this design the way that I make it. Make sure you are using half hard wire and if you need to close the “one loop” part with coils - do it! Make the design work for you! -Katy
I went to my local Walmart looking for 22G wire but they didn't have any they had 20 and 24 gold so I choose the 24 it was about $2 for 6 yards smaller circled one than in the video I'll work with what I have 😊
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of money for the tools so I'll use cosmetic pointy rounded twisters and cosmetic nail clippers to cut the wire I'm so excited I'm worried about if the wire discolors so I'll wash my hands before to get rid of my natural hand oils or wear some gloves 😊
Have you ever thought of maybe using a little bit darker background so the work you're doing could be seen a little bit better. You got a cream yellow background and gold wire it makes it quite difficult to see.
These earrings are really stunning! ❤THANK YOU!

I was thinking of the same exact way if doing the links by wire wrapping the loops.
@@MsJPA79 I was thinking it would pull and unwrap the bead.
I agree with you there!
Me too.

Interesting style! I know I will enjoy making these! I have a number of genuine gemstone beads that will look awesome in this design.

Beautiful, thanks!!!
Great earrings. Probably use S. red pearls with silver tone. Thx Katie.

Looks very cute.. How long is the wire for each beads? I would love to try this one
about 3 feet for each bead. ;-) Hope this helps!
@@JewelSchool Thank you so much for your reply ❤️❤️. I Will definitely make this one
You have cute rings
I have to try this wrap. Can you use 8mm beads? or is 6mm much better to use?
You can use and 8mm bead if you want. Give it a try!
Very nice🤩🤩💖
I have looked all over for the other pieces shown on the Artist.

I don't know if I missed it somewhere, but what kind of 22g wire did you use? Half-hard or dead soft?
I am using German style wire in the video which has a half-hard temper. -Katy
