BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan; lit. Bulletproof Boy Scouts), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010. The band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who co-write or co-produce much of their material. Originally a hip hop group, they expanded their musical style to incorporate a wide range of genres, while their lyrics have focused on subjects including mental health, the troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards self-love, individualism, and the consequences of fame and recognition. Their discography and adjacent work has also referenced literature, philosophy and psychology, and includes an alternate universe storyline.
BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. BTS released their first Korean and Japanese-language studio albums, Dark & Wild and Wake Up respectively, in 2014. The group's second Korean studio album, Wings (2016), was their first to sell one million copies in South Korea. By 2017, BTS had crossed into the global music market and led the Korean Wave into the United States, becoming the first Korean ensemble to receive a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single "Mic Drop", as well as the first act from South Korea to top the Billboard 200 with their studio album Love Yourself: Tear (2018). In 2020, BTS became one of the few groups since the Beatles (in 1966-1968) to chart four US number-one albums in less than two years, with Love Yourself: Answer (2018) becoming the first Korean album certified Platinum by the RIAA; in the same year, they also became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 with their Grammy-nominated single "Dynamite". Follow-up releases "Savage Love", "Life Goes On", "Butter", and "Permission to Dance" made them the fastest act to earn four US number-one singles since Justin Timberlake in 2006.
As of 2023, BTS is the best-selling artist in South Korean history according to the Circle Chart, having sold in excess of 40 million albums.[2] Their studio album Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) is the third best-selling album of all time in South Korea, as well as the first in the country to surpass both four and five million registered sales. They are the first non-English-speaking and Asian act to sell out concerts at Wembley Stadium and the Rose Bowl (Love Yourself World Tour, 2019), and were named the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's (IFPI) Global Recording Artist of the Year for both 2020 and 2021. The group's accolades include multiple American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and nominations for five Grammy Awards. Outside of music, they have addressed three sessions of the United Nations General Assembly and partnered with UNICEF in 2017 to establish the Love Myself anti-violence campaign. Featured on Time's international cover as "Next Generation Leaders" and dubbed the "Princes of Pop", BTS has also appeared on Time's lists of the 25 most influential people on the internet (2017-2019) and the 100 most influential people in the world (2019), and in 2018 became the youngest recipients of the South Korean Order of Cultural Merit for their contributions in spreading the Korean culture and language.
On June 14, 2022, the group announced a scheduled pause in group activities to enable the members to complete their mandatory South Korean military service, with a reunion planned for 2025. Jin, the oldest member, enlisted on December 13, 2022, followed by J-Hope on April 18, 2023, and Suga on September 22, 2023.

What is so amazing is that this was their last concert together as a group, since Jin had to go into the military. But, this concert was a gift to ARMY and it was a FREE concert. There were 50k in the stadium and I believe 100k outside the stadium where screens were to put up to view. And, there were 50 MILLION+ people watching this live online for free through HYBE/BIGHIT's WEVERSE platform. It literally broke down their platform. It was crazy!! These guys are something else. We're gonna miss them, but ARMY can't wait for 2025!! 💜

It wasn't the platform that we've broken, the platform itself was fine. The servers in the external company (Kakao) were in a new building which wasn't prepared for so much traffic and they were managing the servers for the concert. It wasn't just us, it was also the KakaoTalk users - the app normally caused strain on the servers with 40-50 million users but we've doubled it. With all that, the battery room was overheated and it caused a fire there. People working there weren't prepared for the fact that the power will be turned off in the whole building during the fire (insert surprised Pikachu face😂) and couldn't handle the recovery. It resulted in Korea loosing access to the banking, communication, music apps etc. for a big chunk of the day. Thankfully nobody was hurt in the fire. While we've played a part in that (technically) it was mainly due to the Kakao's terrible planning. Nowadays the concerts are usually handled by a few different servers, depending on the viewers' location. At least that's how it was with Suga's concerts. They've probably didn't want to repeat that failure when people have payed good money for the tickets.
Another unbelievable fact Jin was sick leading up to the concert and could barely talk let alone sing but he got his voice back mere minutes before concert…..tell me these boys aren’t special…they are an absolute gift💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This was the first time Army had seen them perform this song as there is no MV, so we were very excited when this happened and it was well worth the wait!
We should also bear in mind that this was the energy that they brought to a FREE concert.
And we should also bear in mind that they never open with a supporting act, their concerts last 3 hours and the last song is performed with the same energy ss the first. 💜
I think you guys would love Not Today. It's another high energy song but whereas Run BTS tells their story, Not Today is an awesome motivational song about not giving up inspired by a quote by Martin Luther King Junior: "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving". 💜
One of my favorite upbeat songs!! It also one of their songs that make me super motivated!!

They are exactly what you said, a constant surprise! That's why I love them so much.
Be prepared for more, not always hype rhythms like Run BTS, but just good songs (more than 400, none bad) and a lot of masterpieces.
I'd recommend watching the dance practice too, you could appreciate more all of them and the crew work, it's amazing!

Just a suggestion - Would have been awesome if you'd done the dance practice first... then done the live... so you can see the amount of effort they put into their rehearsals....Their live band is so good... if you watch any of their live sets you'll hear them in the background. The bassplayer is epic.... You're doing a great job guys... Cheers ! 💜
it was a big shocked for ARMY because till then the song was out in their June 2022 album, it's the theme song for their variety show but never had any MV nor any choreo nor live at all. Then they performed this October 2022 with full intense choreo! They performed other songs too in Yet to Come in Busan and showed they had the best vocals & still high energy!

Aren’t they amazing ? This is 2nd song of the whole entire Busan concert ( first is MIC drop ) you will definitely be amazed - they open with MIC Drop - so intense , then this RUN BTS ( which is the first time for us ARMYs to see the choreography ever ) , and then they proceeded to sing RUN !!! Nonstop high energy !!!
BTS even after 10 years - they go above and beyond - they are truly hardworking artists .. they perform as if rent is due !!! They don’t slack at all ! Their concerts will ruin you ( you get post concert depression!) , it will definitely make you compare how ordinary some other western concerts are … they are so high level talented and amazing performers and they truly care about their craft and most importantly how to give their fans their all so it’s a very enjoyable experience !
They are absolutely phenomenal performers! And the fact that they sing live while moving like that just blows my mind every time!
The whole setlist was amazing... You need to check Ma City from the Busan Yet To Come concert too. You will live the energy. This concert was livestreamed by 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from to tije but all so worth it.
You need to react to there live performances especially BTS 2018 MMA live performance and BTS 2019 MMA LIVE PERFORMANCE it's really epic.

PPS: Jimin and Jungkook are both from Busan, so that made this concert even more special.

it’s a medley of their songs performed live in 2019, so 4 years ago in a stadium concert in Japan, songs like: Fire, Baepsae, Idol and Dope. And also what i would like to suggest, a song that’s also in a medley but not in this HD video is a song called “So What”. It’s such a concert song with an insane energy and hype.
All this was BEFORE their biggest hits dynamite and butter. They were already on a sold out stadium world tour in 2019. Multiple nights sold out in Wembley, Rose Bowl, Olympic Stadium in South Korea (one of the biggest in the world), Stadium of France, Soldier Field Stadium etc.
That was their last full on world tour. and i feel like now the fandom’s size has doubled since then. 2026 Tour is going to be insane. tickets are going to sell out in less than an hour…

I was there, in Busan concert. I had no ticket, but I had to see Run Bts performance because it was only stage we could enjoy. I got a ticket(although it was free concert, it was given by lottery) by a miracle, and it is the best thing I ever had. In the concert, army and bts go crazy, so I hope you go to bts concert someday.

The opened the show with MIC Drop and full choreo and followed immediately with Run BTS :) This is first and only time they've performed Run BTS.

A performance I really love is “Black Swan” at J. C0rden, however, it often gets blocked apparently. The Jimmy Fallon one often has better chances and it’s also amazing.
After seeing the choreo for this, it went to my top 5 of bts hardest dances 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
If you don’t mind watching it again, please check out their performance of mic drop, run BTS, and run (same concert). They sang it back to back, and I got almost out of breath just watching. Super intense.

You absolutely have to go to one of their concerts. You think, they will do a slow song now. Nooooooooooo, they do 3 high impact/aerobic songs in a row. I'm exhausted in the audience and I haven't done a quarter of what they are doing and, they still have 2-1/2 hours left.

It's worth to mention that Jin was extremely sick during the concert with a bad case of epiglottitis. He did everything he could, so he could perform on their last concert before he was joining the military just a short while later.
And FYI, you're reacting here to a copy that was pirated from Weverse. It would be wise to cover the logo but I don't know if it'll work since the concert is available now on Amazon Prime and they're "cleaning" the whole internet from anything about this concert, including the reactions. This performances, this WHOLE concert was AMAZING!! It is one of the best concerts ever, in my opinion…
Just so you know they performed Mic Drop right before this (without any break) and already danced a lot before doing this song, so you can imagine how much more tired they would be while doing this song…(then after this song performed Run, without a break, which is also full of energy)
Also a few of the members where sick, particularly Jin who couldn’t even get sound coming out before the show and got a drip and then performed so well!! Jin was definitely a powerhouse this performance, even while being sick (although they all killed it)!!!

Interesting that you mention how much energy they performed with considering this song was the 2nd one they did in the concerts. It started with a high energy song (Mic Drop) and immediately went into this one (Run BTS) then after that immediately went into another high energy performance (Run). There were so many amazing songs they picked for this concert and the fact that it was free for fans and they still gave it their all was so good. You'd think that would be the standard but so many artists just phone it in even when fans pay good money to see them.
