Me and my sister got $2000 a month on a $5 million trust plus we have to pay two months of it back in taxes. The principal will go to a local college. None of this was ever discussed.

I feel I need an attorney. My step grandpa that had been married to my grandma for 47 years before she died two years ago. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer then all of a sudden a long lost daughter comes out some online dna data base hits he had a daughter he never knew about until about two years ago. We got here out to meet him only for him to leave all his step children out of his trust. We were there taking care of him and believe he may have been coerced into signing a will on 6/22/2022. His probate hearing is December 9, 2022 and his estate is estimated at $700 k. He left to gifts for two step grandchildren $50k each one. One gets 2018 truck the other one gets his stock and membership in Santa Fe land and cattle company in Gustine, California; and the balance goes to his new found daughter that only came to see what she could profit from this meeting. Apparently close to $500k. I never got involved with my grandmas affairs and she did have me go to her bank and sign a paper to be her beneficiary. I just never believed my step grandpa would omit the rest of the family when we had to disrupt our lives taking care of him because he didn’t want to hire professional help. My grandma would be irate at him for doing this because we had always been promised to have an inheritance. My question is would we have a case to petition for half of the assets on behalf of my grandma for her children? If so do you take cases on a contingency? Please let me know or if you have any referrals can you please let me know.

I’m sorry for what you are going thru… it’s MIND BLOWING the people that come out of nowhere THINKING they should have anything from someone they aren’t even close to or there for. Trust in God and everything will work out. Easier said than done I know… I am going thru the hardest new chapter of my life losing both of my parents & Being taken to court the 15th for me to produce the Will. I’m grieving and find each day isn’t much if any easier and the heartache feeling unbearable. Things always work out and life goes on THATS the 1 thing I’ve realized that helps me know We’ll all get thru this. Take care and I’m very sorry you’re having to go thru what you and your family are 😔

what are the chances of contesting after the date in the notification if you've got a good reason? it's impossible to find a lawyer, nobody wants to deal with anything unless there's big money in it for them, you have to do it yourself.

My father set up the will 20 years ago, which I'm sure he never thought would go on that long. My sister doesn't want me to have irreparable trust, either, but what can we do? Our mother just passed last week. That's when we learned what he did. Since it's been so long and my sister and i are both are in agreement that we don't want this, is there Any way we can change it at this point?

The man that my brother left his car and house to was investigated for abusing my brother now he wants to probate that will that has family grave plott
They spilled my brother's name wrong and put him as my father from this first lawyer. It's my brother's will that I'm contesting but they put him down as my father isn't there something inherently wrong with that from the beginning?. This guy was abusing my brother and now he's going to benefit I need to find out how much it would cost to just contest the wheel on undue influence because he had dementia bad

My brother died without a will, and his estate is entitled to a large settlement due to a wrongful death lawsuit. His father abandoned him when he was 3 years old and has been estranged his entire life, somewhere in another state. All assets should be awarded to my mother. A deadbeat father shouldn’t get a fortune because his son was “lucky enough” to die. I want to hire a lawyer.
