I miss Ever After High. Don't get me wrong I loved Disney Descendants. But the Ever After High stories were so good!!! Its a shame they stopped. I doubt they will come back anytime soon. But Cerise will always have my heart! The new Barbie Bestie line is really cute. I can see adding them in my collection once they go on sale of course. Too bad My scene hasn't come back. I was getting that vibe with this line too. My scene was kinda like the Barbie of Bratz mixture.
I love both brands as well! I wish more people could know that Descendants was conceptualized long before EAH was a thing. So many people think that it’s a copy when it’s not. However, Disney does have something to do with EAH’s downfall as Mattel’s budget cuts came from them Disney breaking up with them.

i remember watching your videos every single day between ages 9-12. watching those videos i felt like i could make anything, and in turn do anything. i would sit on my bedroom floor every single day for years, surrounded in craft foam and cardboard and hot glue sticks and any other crafting object i could get my tiny hands on. we didn’t have much, but this channel showed me i could create something out of nothing. this channel inspired little me to never stop creating. thank you so much for being such a bright and inspiring light in my otherwise challenging childhood. i truly believe it was this channel that gave me my creativity, and i will always be so grateful 💕 i am now 22, all grown up, forever sitting on my bedroom floor surrounded in anything crafty i can get my hands on, creating anything i can imagine. thank you for continuing to inspire kids like me 🫶🏻
I still think if you have a doll with shiny paint and the pixels aren't bad, you could probably use a very thin layer of matte Mod podge to help it. Maybe try it on a doll with really bad screen printing you don't mind painting on first.
I like the tinsel in the hair, it makes the doll look colorful, fun, it's a child's toy: brightly-colored, sparkly things, like, the tinsel, make children smile
They are adorable 😍 even with their tinsel 😤 But I just might remove most of it since it’s never been a positive end result for me 😊 The fashions and accessories are really cute and I’m so excited for the new style since I missed out on EAH 😁 I just hope they don’t get rid of the dolls that I love like Looks dolls for these ones 🫤 especially since they got rid of Extra that was a great seller and loved for no reason 😑
I got Renee from this line because she reminded me of Veronica Storm from Shadow High, and I honestly love her! She can also clothes-swap really well with my SH/RH dolls, which provides amazing restyle options for both Renee and my purple SH/RH dolls.🖤💜
Oh wow, they're so cute! I saw them but haven't gotten them (yet). I love that they're not pixelated! And I definitely see them as an Ever After High/Barbie mashup. That's great! I love Teresa's bow barrettes! And her accessories are my absolute favorites. I may have to grab her... Renee is also super cute! I ordered Malibu from Amazon, but they shipped her in an unpadded paper bag & she arrived damaged. 😢 But luckily I got a full refund & found her on the shelf at a nearby Target instead! I really love Malibu’s overall look, especially her top & clutch purse. 👛 Brooklyn is on my wishlist too, but the only thing that turns me off are the molded plastic leg warmers! I’m wondering if they can be cut off her shoes & still end up with a good looking pump? It’s easy enough to make some knit leg warmers from Dollar Store socks. 😉
These dolls are absolutely cute! It’s like a merge between a ever After High and Barbie. The accessories look nice and the articulation is a plus. Mattel really put a lot of quality on this line and it shows. Love it! 🩷

These are very cute dolls. The exaggerated faces are very sweet and innocent. Although slightly smaller in height they are still compatible with Barbie furniture and other accessories which is nice.

I just did it with a hair dryer and they came out relatively easily 🤗 I also plucked out all of the tinsel and used Rit Dye More to dye the purple streaks black 🖤 (I used her to make my mini me doll) I am curious if you have done any additional attempts to find more clothing/shoe options for them? I have had to make my own pants for her and that's a pain in the butt.. no pun intended lol

As soon as the Dream Besties showed up in our Kmart branches here in Christchurch, NZ, I had to immediately buy all 4 asap LOL! I'm obsessedddd with them. My Brooklyn's already been detinseled!! I love her even better that way hehe. I think I'll leave Renee's purple tinsel tho

I'm actually curious. Since you've removed the tinsel from Brooklyn's hair, can you replace it with colored thread as "Hair twists"? That way, you get the colored hair based on the tinsel colors, but in the thread that looks like twists! And you're giving Brooklyn hair twists in her hairstyle, so that's three pluses for this idea! And it could be the same for any other dolls with tinsel hair, like Theresa. Also, I think the Retro cellphone case might be the problem, because of how it's made or something. But I think you have a cellphone case DIY that could be reworked to fit the Dream Besties cellphones! And about the Head Swaps/Body Mods, I think they'd look great with the Made 2 Move bodies, but in different types!

These dolls are so cute in person, and they sold super fast in my local Walmart. They had a whole endcap and later that week just a few dolls left.
Also, the accessories using the retro Barbie logo makes my heart happy.
