“If it sounds like I can’t breathe, we’ll I can’t” 😂 as a first time mom to an almost 10 month old I remember that first breath of air after she was out and I felt like I had never breathed before 😂 lots of best wishes on the birthing and that both you and itty bitty me are happy and healthy the whole way through. Although it’s too late now, it would have been hilarious to have painted your belly bright green then green screened you drawing something via iPad
As an anemic person myself (I'm not pregnant, had it all my life) I found it interesting to hear about it a little bit in this video (great video by the way, I'm slowly catching up) (and about ice as a craving), so I decided to share my exp with it. So I've always had iron deficiency anemia, and knew about it, but never actually been treated seriously. My hemoglobin level has always been a little bit lower than required, so I was always recommended to eat more green apples or liver or something like this, until a couple of years ago. It started with little things and continued for like a year and a half, because I couldn't understand that all the changes I was going through were the symptoms of the same problem. I started to lose a lot of my hair, especially during washing. Like it was A LOT, alarmingly so. My nails started breaking, my skin became very dry, to the point where I couldn't spend one day without covering my whole body with body cream. Then the cravings started. I also craved ice (not shaven, though, but in any shape or form). I craved it more and more with time (at some point I switched from plain ice to frozen berries, but I was eating them one by one completely frozen, because I wanted their iciness, not berries themselves), finally I came to the point when even the thought about ice made me salivate as if I was starved. Then some of my hair started to go gray. And all this time on top with everything I was permanently tired, very tired, it felt like it was almost impossible to just exist. That was the moment when I finally realized that something was wrong with me, googled the symptoms and understood what was probably going on. Got my blood checked, my hemoglobin level was a little bit lower than needed, as always, but my ferritin level was almost zero. Got to the doctor at last, and now it's under control. Just wanted to rise some awareness with my story, I guess. Sometimes you can feel that smth is wrong but can't understand what, or that some cosmetic problems you think you have may be symptoms of sickness.
Omg the nachos with marshmellows reminds me of this snack i grew up eating. Saltine crackers, kraft singles, and mini marshmallows microwaved. Its so good!

My parents got me a book on being an older sibling. I don't remember what it was called, but it was one of those really simple ones with cardboard pages because I was a toddler. It addressed that it might be frustrating or confusing to have a new baby, but how the baby could also be your friend and it could be fun to have a little sibling. I can't remember super well, but the way my parents introduced it to me really made an impression, and I was resolved to be the best eldest sibling I could be and always love my younger siblings. This reminds me: My late grandfather made a living as a carpenter. He made so many things (swings, furniture, dollhouse to me and other toys... a whole ass cottage with a sauna), including a bed for me. It was very cute. It had a heart shaped hole in the top frame and it was extendable so I didn't grew out of it like in a year. We still have it. He also made a coffin to himself...rest in peace grandpa

6:00 Pre-pregnancy eggs made me feel sick. During pregnancy, just the thought of eggs made me gag. But in the hospital after giving birth, I CRAVED egg salad sandwiches so much that I would order two per meal from the cafeteria. And now I eat eggs again. Pregnancy and postpartum hormones are wild!

I appreciate the fact that she doesn't share anything about her babys' identities online. More people should understand their children are little humans who can't give permission for certain things. Also I couldn't handle eggs either... scrambled or raw or even the look of an egg in a shell. It was rough because I worked breakfast shift at a fast food place and egg in a milk carton is how fast food scrambled eggs start out. I had to run to the bathroom several times to vomit. I don't miss that at all!
