What Lefkoe fails to realise is, Ernie sets the scenes and then lets the others do everything else, he's an orchestrator but he rarely gets involved. You notice it on highlight reels, on shaqtin a fools. Lefkoe tries to be the one to make jokes and funny comments, tries to be relatable or "cool" to players, that's not your role and it's not something that can be forced.

In a professional sports show where you have a presenter and ex-pros as analysts, imo, the presenter's role is of a facilitator and navigator of the action. But ultimately, people are there to watch and listen to the pros and not you. By all means, contribute when it's required but it shouldn't be the first thought. In the same way a good interviewer should give a guest space to shine (like Sean Evans does on hot ones for example) versus someone who's fighting for the limelight (like Jimmy Fallon). Each to their own though. I think Lefkoe is clearly liked by his peers but he can come across as a bit try-hard in his presenting.
