    What Lefkoe fails to realise is, Ernie sets the scenes and then lets the others do everything else, he's an orchestrator but he rarely gets involved. You notice it on highlight reels, on shaqtin a fools. Lefkoe tries to be the one to make jokes and funny comments, tries to be relatable or "cool" to players, that's not your role and it's not something that can be forced.

    • @PyroGandhi
      @PyroGandhi 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Bro there’s one Ernie, learn to adjust your expectations or you’ll be disappointed your whole life. He’s comfortable and is knowledgeable. Hes half the age of Ernie you’re not going to get that kind of personality there when it’s two different people. If all the greats who share the stage with him like him and are comfortable then you need to realize why

    • @Wolfpack-wp2kf
      @Wolfpack-wp2kf 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      @@PyroGandhi I'd argue it's more about your role as presenter. In a professional sports show where you have a presenter and ex-pros as analysts, imo, the presenter's role is of a facilitator and navigator of the action. But ultimately, people are there to watch and listen to the pros and not you. By all means, contribute when it's required but it shouldn't be the first thought.
      In the same way a good interviewer should give a guest space to shine (like Sean Evans does on hot ones for example) versus someone who's fighting for the limelight (like Jimmy Fallon). Each to their own though. I think Lefkoe is clearly liked by his peers but he can come across as a bit try-hard in his presenting.

    And that boys and girls is why its difficult for us oldheads to respect the toughness of the current game. The new players aren't soft, the limited contact rules take away a once important aspect of the game. All this new talent would adapt, unless you're a freethrow merchant

    • @nydibs

    80s, 90s and early 2000s are more of how tough are you mentally, its a test of character of how badly you needed to score just to win the game unlike todays NBA players, they are like "I am not mentally prepared to play..." but earning about $20M to $50M 😳

      @macwoj101 MJ. Shawn Kemp. Deondre Jordan. Blake G. Dominique. Its been a lot of great in game dunkers. Vince is not number one on that list. For the simple fact you can name and picture other dunks that are better than his. I dont think there is a clear cut Number One in game dunker. Its all about what style you like.

    That was a flagrant… at this time in the league this is how people would try to do Vince! Refs barely called fouls to protect him, but they called fouls for Kobe all day.
    The funny thing is that Shaq would have won way more rings with Vince than Kobe. Yuck!
