I'm from Chicago and I remember all those years when the bulls drafted MJ and a few years later drafting Scottie. The whole process was historical from start to finish. I saw potential in Pip to be a good player after his second season but he turned out much better than I expected. The youngster spittin real game to the og PiP, we all respect Scotties game he was underpaid but felt like he was always appreciated by hoopers fans and his teammates. His rants the past few yrs havent tarnished what he did on the court he was a beast. That being said he had some issues though as peers who were seemingly less skilled earned way more than Scottie. He signed a contract though an extremely lengthy contract which value depreciated as the nba's value went sky rocketing. Jordan was also vastly underpaid but the difference between the two is Jordan didnt care about the money, he just wanted to win. Pippen got caught up tryna chase the bag and get paid to take care of his family but also to live that life that MJ had from his many endorsement deals which Scottie in the beginning never really had major endoresements paying him. Looking back on it how good he was compared to others and his pay it had to hurt. When PiP didnt get the opportunity to shoot the final shot and he sat out on the bench, im sure he was hoping they would all fail so he could become the leader, but Jordan wouldnt have ever elected to go out of the game because Phil called up a last second shot for Paxon, now Jordan would listen but then demand the ball but Jordan aint getting off the court. PiP could have easily stuck it out stayed on the court and try to get the last shot anyway instead Tony hit the shot and now the win was a sting to PiP seeing he should have trusted Phil. Now PiP going as far saying Phil is a racist on Dan Patricks sports podcast which shows PiPs downward spiral of trashing Jordan and others since the Last Dance came out. Scottie has to realize the documentary didnt digitally impoze or use AI they just used the film that was available to them. Those films just reflect who PiP was and theres nothing wrong with that, we all know PiP is just embarassed and especially since Jordans son been beating down PiPs ex wife in the bedroom he is just trying to have his time at being great. Problem is he was already great back then he is going about what he trying to achieve all wrong. Hope he comes to his senses soon.
