Thanks for the recommendation on this aerial. I just installed one and it’s really good. I don’t know how Digitalis can supply for £14.99 including postage. It even worked fine inside my house, so I installed it on the facia board at the back of my garage to avoid any serious working at heights trying to drill into brick work.
I bought a similar one for my dab radio it worked well. I was also surprised when I plugged my FM tuner into the aerial, it worked very well on that too.
Hi Ray.Great value for money and as you say it's well made too.☺Sun is also shining here in Eastbourne.Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.73 Ian G7HFS.
Hi Ray, interesting video. That is the first ever DAB outdoor antenna that I have seen. We have DAB here in Australia, though I haven't seen any antennas around. This may change as DAB starts expanding here. So far, DAB is only provided to our major cities. Incidentally, do your DAB radio stations use Band 3 there? Anyway, take care. Robert.
Go buy another one for the workshop Ray. Only joking, but one point, i don't have a chimney!! I like the wat it is made from tube instead of rolled metal. Cheers.
You're going to end up with more antennae than Jodrell Bank at this rate ! Interesting that these dipoles and arrays all seem to come with an in-built F connector these days rather than a coaxial junction box ? Or do you just order them in that configuration ? I haven't put one up for a few years, and when I did, it used a junction box to connect the coax to. To waterproof the bared coax lead, I used that spray that sets to a solid varnish, that we used to use to insulate the leads on car distributor caps - it seemed to work very well on coax. Anyway, good to see your latest discussion of the subject. But no mince pie in evidence on this pre-Christmas video ? Season's greetings to you and the family anyway !

Hi Ray how did you match this antenna to coax, isnt it a folded dipole which is 300 Ohms to feed point, does it have a built in matching unit, or did you just connect coax to it..Fred g4vvq.

RGC198 Hi Robert. DAB here uses band 3. Around 220mHz I think. I’m sure you’ll have DAB aerials available as the system expands. Cheers, Ray.
If you were still chasing an antenna for DAB+ here in Oz Jaycar sell a 4 element Yagi 👍

Great show. What are the chances of receiving DAB transmissions in the US?
hamrad88 Do you have DAB in the US?
According to a WiKi I just read, no.
@@hamrad88 Hi , I might be wrong, but I think it's called HD radio over there
Dave Harriman yes, I think I’ve heard of that.
Very nice antenna for a reasonable price. UK made means quality mate! 7th Ray. Brian
Signal Hunter thanks, Brian. All the best, Ray.
"UK made means quality mate!" You never had an Austin Allegro then
